Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi there, I was wondering where the majority of simmers go to check all the available addons (freeware and payware) I started with https://www.msfsaddons.org/ then I found https://flightsim.to/#result-page-3 and now https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator It is currently a royal pain to go check each one of them so I was wondering if there is a single website which have all addons in one place? Thank you

So there is a knob next to the barometer knob on the 787 MCP that seems to be for setting radio/barometric minimums. I can't find anywhere in the cockpit that this shows though. Uh, anyone know where or even if this info displays? I can't find it on the "radio display" as the tooltip suggests or the MFD or PFD displays or the HUD.

I just bought it and tested it out. It's pretty cool because not only do you get the airport but they modeled many businesses in the town plus there's a large lumber yard just northwest of town. Pretty cool I fly in that region alot since I lived on Whidbey Island in my youth.

The situation I had prior to update and even after update is some of the Scenery Airports and Landmarks I downloaded didn't work once placed in the Community Folder. Well let me state I installed MSFS on a different drive dedicated to sim so, of course, I put the Mods into that Community Folder (some worked others did not.) Its still showing last 3 airports from before the update and it wont save recent searches.

Hi, Is there anyone noticed their Marketplace is grayed out and not clickable? I tried changing the language in the program,, but doesnt work. Also, the AP in the DA42 is unusable? As soon as I push AP button, the place rolls to the right 90 degree bank with nose down attitude. Anyone else has this issue? Version 1.8.3 Thanks!

I'm vaguely aware of various flight planning tools like SimBrief, NaviGraph, ForeFlight, SkyVector, FltPlan.Go, AirMate, and many others. What I don't know, is what I need exactly... I was very underwhelmed with the version before the last patch. Much improved now! Yes, boats and docks still underwater, but better autogen and satellite imagery. Taking off out of KLAX was phenomenal! Looks better, performs better....loving this patch so far!!!

Loaded in a flight plan, and entered game. Flight plan is not loading into sim, and the FMC is not working at all on the CJ4 jet. anyone else??

Can anyone else with the latest patch confirm that they cannot start the DA62 from cold and dark? When you get to the step to start the engines, the starter buttons don't seem to have any effect. Also, the right G1000 doesn't turn on regardless of electrical switches... anyone can confirm that as well? Thanks! Before any Asobo simps chime in, yes I have reported it via Zendesk.

I flew a night flight and everything seemed super smooth and better than before. When I tried in the daytime, I noticed perhaps why the performance was better. The autogen draw distance seems to have be tinkered with. I get a lot more popping of trees/buildings than before and everything is drawn at a smaller distance. Does anyone else notice especially flying over large cities? This is a trade-off that I'm not sure I'm super happy with. I know in FSX there was a way to tweak this. Not sure if there is any setting in the new system that has a similar effect.

Hi is anyone else having difficulties landing the B-787 after installing Patch #2 ? Now, when you are on final or short final (slow & low), if you try to pull back on the yoke, it's as if the yoke is totally unresponsive. The only way to get a positive pull back is by adding quite a bit of power, not to mention that it takes 3-5 seconds for the engines to spool up......by then, the smooth & gradual approach is no longer a reality. This is a big shame because this was one of the most pleasant, forgiving, and easiest FS 2020 planes to fly. I really hope that MS corrects this asap (I tried recalibrating and readjusting the sensitivities but that's not working eith…

Hi guys I wonder if someone can help me out here and explain how to use the marketplace to make a purchase? When I tried to purchase London city airport via the marketplace, I got the notification alert and when I clicked on the bell icon It says "purchase pending" and also opens another window that says "Purchase in progress" and just sits there indefinitely with no other prompts. I don't see anywhere to make a payment or anything like that so I am at a loss as to how I should proceed. Can someone who has made a successful purchase explain how it works please?

How in the world do you develop and release a flight simulator intended for VFR navigation an low altitude hazards and NOT have POWERLINES! They need to fire their technical consultants! Seriously. X-plane gets this point and has them. Guys did you even bother to look at your competition? Or even a Sectional with ANY detail? Seriously!

As the title says, you can no longer set or adjust axis sensitivity after patch #2. Asobo is aware of this problem and...well. They're aware.

I've had this happen where I go to disable a certain keystroke from for example Toggle ATC, and let's say it's been assigned the 'a' key. So I bring it up in the keyboard controls menu, search for Toggle ATC, and it shows 'a' as the assigned key. Now I highlight the 'a' in the upper box, chose Clear, then Validate. Now not only does the 'a', disappear, but so does the menu item Toggle ATC! How do I get it back?

So... I'm trying to use the procedure in the "How to move FS2020 install to another HD fast" tip to move my install (to a different location on the same drive) and it seems like it didn't "take". Wondering if anyone else has had this happen? I bought FS through the MS store, didn't pay attention to the suggested install path, and it ended up several folder levels deep under my user folder. So I: 1. Copied C:\users\<me>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe to C:\FS2020new. 2. Uninstalled FS by right-clicking the icon on the start menu and selecting "uninstall". Is there a way to mod the taxiway and runway stripes so that the yellow isn't so bright "too new looking" yellow and the same for the white? It this just a bitmap or DDS that I can use BXTBMP to bump out to Photoshop and edit and throw back into the folder? Where would they live?

There are so many different addons available for planning flights, following flights and I'm getting more & more confused. I would like to do what you do in the planning screen in the sim but with better results. I want to pick a departure & arrival airport and input multiple GPS coordinates that I want to fly over along the route. Once flying I'd like to follow where I'm going on a map cast to another computer or tablet. The in sim planner and VFR map are a joke. If you plot multiple GPS coordinates it chooses which ones to go to despite the order you input them into the plan. I've done plans with 6 points added and the screen looks like a zigzag back & forth…
