Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

So I've noticed in my last two mid haul flights with the 787 that it will just crash about 3-4 hours into the flight during cruise near a 'step climb' point that has been calcuted from a flight plan from simbrief. I'm thinking thhis might be the cause? Or possibly a memory leak due to the sim flying for so long? Anyways I've sent a report through. Anyone else getting this?

The runway at KRBL (Red Bluff) in California shows X's on the runway in game. Does this mean the airport isn't active? I believe it is in IRL. Is this a game glitch or something else? any incite is appreciated.

Very often, or almost always, when I pick a STAR, the waypoints I'm getting in my FMC is like half of the star. Usually it stops populating the star halfway and goes direct to the FAF transition. Anyone else have the same experience? It's so random... I mean, it HAS the right STAR in the database, but half of it is missing. How does that happen?

Hi guys, First post here ... long time reader. Pretty sue someone can help me out here. I want to land on very short runway strip while bushflying my Cessna Caravan 208. Wondering... i noticed in the controls that there are REVERSE PROPELLER and REVERSE THROTTLE. Not sure which one should be used as well as how the procedure works. Briefly, i need that little beast to stop as quicly as possible! Some of those short strip deliveries in Alaska give me the chill (Fell in love with OnAir manager :) )

Hello folks, After stopping and restarting the sim 4 times, I finally managed to compete update/patch. However, after the patch, my 787 bounces down the runway like crazy. Really hard. Is anyone seeing this?

One of my gripes is Edinburgh Airport (EGPH) still having Runway 12/30 still active, and ATC regularly assigning it for take-off and landing. Until either Asobo fix this or (better still) the likes of ORBX provide a custom version, is there a simple way to edit the airport's file(s) to deactivate that runway, i.e. to stop ATC and AI aircraft treating it as active?

It’s like looking at FS9 blurries sometime. There are massive posts over the MSFS forums about it. Doesn’t seem to be acknowledged by ASOBO. Basically, above 1000ft, the ground looks rubbish. It’s not sharp. Not in the slightest. And the runways from above look like pixelated mess. They need to increase the ZL. And the popping buildings and autogen, P3D solved that didn’t they?

So I have experienced a fairly big FPS drop with the latest patch and wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing the same. Pre-Patch =40-57 FPS. Avg 53 depending on major cities, weather, etc Post-Patch =26-48 FPS. After the new update from today I have problems with the left engine of the a320. After pulling both engines, waiting till 20.5 an close APU Bleed, APU and turning ENG-Knop to NORM the left engine went down. Am I doing something wrong? Best regards Birger

Since the new patch is anyone able to adjust their joystick sensitivity? For me it's just a black box that says "Done"

I have not flown the Baron yet but have a flight planned for this afternoon. I spent some time in the cockpit familiarizing myself. Then I went through the Pre-Start and Start checklists to a "T'. I cannot start the engines. Backtracked through the checklists two or three times. Still no joy. Any ideas what I could be missing. Fuel on, throttle cracked, full rich and full props, battery and alternators, boost pump.

Anyone recall this song. Though of it today during a flight in the Baron G58. For some reason after I activated a future leg in my flight plan, the G1000 entered ROL mode and wouldn't let go. I could switch to heading mode fine. But every time I switched back to NAV the AP would lock in the current heading and stay in ROL. Taking up the challenge I fooled around for over an hour but never could determine how to release it from ROL. So while fighting with it this song entered my mind... For some reason today suddenly the left engine cuts out on taxi to runway.Has anyone experienced this

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but... is there a pack that exists for AI liveries? I've downloaded the mega one, but it only seems to give more flyable aircraft liveries. Am I missing something? Any hope of having a Southwest plane not looking yellow and green?

I am updated. The B200 appears to fly very nicely for getting a feel for the sim. I am not doing any cold and dark starts. Instead, I get in the plane and go. When I first takeoff, the small, upper center Artificial Horizon comes handy, especially when I lower the panel to see the wonderful front nose of the plane. It's equivalent to a 2 panel because it displays the essential information for take off and landing. However, after a few minutes of flight it goes off and I am not sure why and how to bring it back on again. Any clues? tc

Is there a way of saving a flight and making it the default flight like old FSX. When i choose a flight i want all systems in dark and cold mode. Maybe i"m missing it somewhere. Thanks, Robert

I made two attempts early on to download and install the software package. Both attempts failed due to installation issues. In both cases I contacted Microsoft and they refunded to me my money. Can somebody tell me if patch 1 & 2 are now embedded in the current release? It appears that patch one fixed the download issue. I would like to download and install the simulator this weekend, but if the download fails again I'm a little worried that Microsoft may band me from future attempts to purchase their software package. Hi, after restarting the sim today, I lost the weather menu. The weather menu option in the menu settings is greyed out. Strange thing is that Multiplayer is off, I fly alone with or without AI traffic. No matter if I activated live weather or custom weather pre-flight, in-flight there is no weather menu. What did I do? Or is it a bug?

Are the avionics in the Citation longitude the G1000?

I just realized I cannot access any flight plan data from the MFD screen in the TBM, I tried entering a flight plan from the main menu and although it looks OK you cannot see any waypoints in the MFD. You cannot enter anything in the MFD either. Oh I wish I was not forced to update, things were good prior to this update. Anyone else see this?

After the update the Citation Longitude is now my favorite jet in FS2020 my favorite Turboprop is the TBM930 I did 2 flights in the Longitude and I was amazed at the auto throttle feature climbed up to FL430 going from Calhoun to Oshkosh set it at .75M TAS was 430kts
