I've seen this before...anyone else? The AP will descend down to pressure altitude and not the altitude you've got dialed in. In this case (along the line with my real world wx issue), I've set the correct nearest airport altimeter (real world not according to the sim), and selected 5000. But the AP levels off a certain amount of feet above it. The real one would level off at 5000....even if your altimeter is incorrect. APaltbug by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr

I was curious to know if its possible for me to install Little Navmap on my Macbook laptop running macOS Big Sur and have it interface with my MSFS 2020 sim PC? Or do we still need to wait for LNM to be updated? The latest version is still 2.4.5 and hasn't been updated since April it seems.

Hey guys, just wanted to share how I fixed the stutters I was seeing in this sim. For background, I have a 4770K CPU (overclocked to 4.3 GHz) paired with a GTX 1070 and 32 GB RAM running 1440p with all SSDs. I have most of my settings on Ultra or High, and the visuals are excellent. But I was getting occasional stutters although the game was super fluid and I was getting around 27 FPS. I started investigating the cause of the stutters, initially thinking that my GPU could not keep up. I put a small overclock on the GPU but the stutters remained. I have tweaked the NVIDIA settings, and in-game settings until my eyes started to bleed, at which point I ran across a thread o…

What are your tips for landing an A320? It flies like a brick and is very difficult to get a descent landing. How do you get a smooth landing out of it? How do you reduce the ground roll? I haven’t been able to get thrust reversers to work i did figure out how to set the auto-throttle control to the final approach speed of 140 kts and that helps.

Anyone notice that now cloud cover is accurately depicted? The upper level wind problem over the US is still an issue but the hurricane is clearly represented over the gulf, around Florida, and some could cover extending out to Georgia. This beats the constant clear skies I once saw no matter where I went. There's no cloud turbulence at this time though and I don't believe strong rain is present...

I got a heads up a few days ago this was coming and I just downloaded the free update and glanced at the content. This has to be one of the better flight tutorials that I have seen, as I am a big fan of tutorials. This one covers our TBM 930 in great detail (for a sim pilot). There is a lot of exposure to the many parts of planning a flight (Skyvector), prefight, startup and go, making the flight, arrival and landing. This is highly recommended for all levels. Lots of nice closeup images for some of the details. You can't go wrong with this and they keep adding more content to the basic Intro Manual. Go over to FSElite and look around for an ad for SoFly's …

We are upgrading the computer and flight simulator at our flying club here in Sweden. The difference from for example my own computer is that there is no single person buying the flight sim software, it's the club. Even if we buy through Microsoft store or Steam, there is still a person that is the buyer. How should this best be done?

I had never heard of this airport, or this developer, before today, but I bought it and have enjoyed my first few flights in the vicinity. It's a small single-runway coastal field in Montenegro with mountains all around and a nice over-water approach, including a little modeled harbor and a bunch of VFR landmarks. It seems to be adapted from an X-Plane product and some of the building textures might not be top-top quality, but overall first impressions are pretty good. There are lots more screenshots on the store page at Simmarket if you're interested. (Can't link due to the rules, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.)

If I install the popular 'megapack' of over 400 new liveries, what will it look like in FS main window where you are setting up a flight. When you click the window to choose a plane, will the choices be organized and easy to navigate? Or will you see hundreds of planes to scroll through all lined up in a never ending line?

So I finally got around to working on YVR. A lot of work needs to go into this side project of mine because a lot is missing at YVR. I want to rework the textures on the 3D models and possibly redo the ground textures but here's a couple buildings I added earlier today as a test run. I'm also looking to improve the area surrounding YVR in particular Richmond. If there's any buildings in the greater Vancouver area you guys want to see let me know and maybe I'll upload a package. Buildings are easier to do, YVR will take some time.

I've been experimenting with a workaround for the lack of multi-view for multi-monitor setups and reducing the distortion on the side screens. I figured I could write a ReShade shader that squeezes the outside screens while leaving the center one unchanged. I haven't had time to really test this much yet, but I wanted to share my efforts so far and see if that is of any benefit to any other multi-monitor simmers. This requires Reshade installed for MSFS. Just save the shader code to a file called MultiMonitor.fx and copy it to your ReShade shader folder for MSFS and enable it in the Reshade menu. It only works with 3 monitors of the same size and resolution…

I'm really impressed by what the guys with A320 addon did and really inspired me to learn how to program panels and switches. I'm really bad on designing aircraft models and graphical stuff but I know a good share of programming. I have downloaded the SDK and installed the plugin in VS2019. But how do I start? The SDK documentation seems to be for people already experienced on Prepar3D and FSX. So is there a newbie documentation?

It can't be just me, can it? I'm not new to flightsim, in the past, the aircraft (including large ones) all had arrows on the displays that you could use to navigate. But with the three included in MSFS, i can't find a way to turn any such things on. I've done it in one of the Cessna jets, (haven't tried in the other.) Is there a way to do this in the bigger aircraft?
