Since i dont enjoy using it after the patch i am busy finding all kind of workarounds instead 😞 Does anyone knows if there are shaders files we need to delete just like in FSX/P3D ? It was quite critical in those.

hey guys. does any one knows what's the difference between the "FPS Increase - Lower 2D instrument refresh rate" https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator/mods/34 and the "Highonsnow Glass Cockpit 15-19FPS boost on Airliners and 10-21FPS on GA Aircraft"? https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator/mods/109 when to use what (between the two)? on what use case? i do suffer from low FPS on glass cockpit, but both claim to do the same and offered at the same site/section, so i am confused which one should I use, which one is better suited for what use case?

Title says it all. GPU running cooler, load seems way better balanced across all CPU cores, the smoothness is remarkable ..EVERYTHING that is majorly important seems better (may be a bit of placebo effect but I'm sooo satisfied.) @virtuali, took off out of your KORD in the 172....maybe a bit of placebo again but the textures look better...and the performance is way better now! 8700k all threads, HT on, no affinity, slight OC to 4.9ghz on all cores, ancient Titan Maxwell 12gb Vram, 32gb 2666 ram.....I am NOT complaining about anything! I'm reading on the MSFS forums that taxiway names are randomly generated and do not match IRL airports. This is a huge issue for people like me who fly on VATSIM to airports we are less familiar with. I use an AFD while I'm taxiing, but not seeing the correct taxiway lettering is a huge bummer. Even FSX had accurate taxiway markings on first download. Has anyone in the sim been able to confirm that this is the case? My download is progressing at the slowest rate it could possibly be going, so I can't check right now. I assigned joystick POV to Left, Right, etc, views. Yet views don't stay fixed. For example, if I turn POV button to the right, I have the right cockpit view but as soon I release that button the view returns to the front. How can I do to get the right, left, etc, views stay fixed and not return to the front view? I do have assigned a joystick button to get the front view. Thanks

I noticed when turning on FPS display in developer options it will also show other parameters. One of them is the GPUMem budget. While it seems logical at a first glance I realized it sometimes shows me numbers exceeding my actual VRAM (eg. in dense areas I get a 9220/7311 reading) I'm using a GTX 1080 with 8GB RAM. So what does the first number actually mean? Thanks!

Is there a way to stop that? Every time I cut the engine, it yanks me through the top of the cockpit and pulls up the log. Like, great, but I was in the middle of something. And I imagine that's not going to be amusing when my VR headset arrives... Be great if we could turn that "feature" off.

I updated yesterday just as most others. Today I completed a routine flight of about 45 minutes duration. Parked. Shut down. Later checked my logbook. No entry. Last entries are from yesterday before the patch. Anyone else???

Id like for FSUIPC, spad.next and a few other things to start up together with MSF. I also want to start MSF up without the splashscreens. Can someone help me with this?

I was quite happy about MSFS and almost never had any CTD before this patch. I downloaded it this morning, went for a quick test flight and had a CTD as soon as I switch to external camera. Whatever aircraft I used, the scenario is always the same and easy to reproduce: as soon as I press the key for external camera, the image freezes and... CTD. Do some of you have the same? Thanks.

Hi all With the live weather inside differing from the asobo source how are you guys getting accurate weather details such as surface winds for arrival,winds aloft at various levels, QNH etc. Also given the fact that the atis is always wrong also. Would have been nice if the Sim showed the data it's using like active sky does, at the moment we are in the dark with weather so to speak Thanks Wayne

Dont know if the picture clearly show it, but in my sim, I get an opaque line, with a blueish tint, that goes across the landscape. Its not very noticeable here, but i marked it out. Its more pronounced in the left side of the pic. In Norway flying the fjords in the cub it was very pronounced, but i forgot to take pic.

Since the recent update My Checklist box is blank and also the AI Tab is blank and also the Market Place cant be clicked on has any one else got this problem or any one know how to fix these problems

When I try to set up the fms with my departure and destination airports, they won’t stay. So I first put in my Origin airport code in, it will show me the airport name next to it,hit enter, next page comes up for destination airport, but already I have lost my Origin airport on this page. Anyone else have this problem? Am I missing something? OK now I have tried doing the same in the TBM 930 G3000 FMC, same thing is happening.I can"t populate the origin airport or the destination airport.Is there some kind of setting in options i might have messed up Thanks , Bob

In the sim pick any airport. With live weather turned on, what visibility and cloud coverage is being reported on ATIS? No matter where I go or what weather is actually being depicted, ATIS always reports (or very close to): visibility 3 Few at 1100‘ Few at 4100’ Few at 12400’ Anybody else?

Why do Microsoft force us to download the entire installation on the fly everytime? Reinstalling is a pain in the word not allowed (but everyone knows the word). Wouldn't it be better to just download the original setup ONCE and then download patches/updates when available? If the download speed was consistent, I wouldn't mind but in order to get proper download speed I have to exit and restart the installer like 4 or 5 times. Otherwise it is stuck around 4-5 Mbits. Is there a logic behind this?

Hello, when I first downloaded MSFS I mistakenly selected "all areas" for downloading into the local cache. Can anybody tell me the answers to the following please: 1 - I have looked at the directory it is stored in and it is up to the 100gb max. I would like to move it to another drive but it does not appear to give you that option. Can I do this somehow? 2 - I really do not want the whole world downloaded but I cannot untick "all" and start again. User of flight sim since about 1995. Never experienced anything like the chaos of this release. Downloading crashes every 15-20 mins and needs restarting, but might be due to server overload so some leeway on this. But once eventually installed, the sim itself is just not ready: 1. No joystick presets (or, if it works for some people, it doesn’t work for everyone - which is inconsistent and therefore worse). 2. CTD - in my case, I’ve only been able to fly once without a CTD. Reinstalled : same issue. The excuse that “it’s early” is not acceptable : if it’s ready enough to take money for, it should work without this kind of nonsense. My verdict is …

I am confused. Adding liveries was easy in FSX and P3D and here it seems to be even easier. But it´s not, at least not for me. I have installed livery packages with no problem. I have installed some of the A320 liveries from the mega package. But I am not able to install the liveries for the C208. There are some interesting liveries in various places. I have downloaded DHL, FedEx, Susi Air, Sounds Air, Tropic Air and Logan Air repaints. However, I am not able to get all of them active. I have installed them to Comminity-folder in separate folders and also tried to merge them under same folder and edited aircraft.cfg. No matter what I do, I can´t see all of them. …

After flying around and landing, I want to choose another aircraft and another airport without closing and reopening the flight simulator, but cant workout how to get back to the main menu screen. can someone help on how you do this.

Good morning, Is the Refreshrate option for the Glass cockpits not working for the XCub? Looks like its still at 60Hz (at least it looks like) when set to Medium or even Low. Am i missing something here?
