Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi. So the latest livery megapack from Clinks has been released: https://www.reddit.com/r/MSFSLiveries/comments/ikm0qz/clinks_livery_megapack_v8_out_now_150_new_liveries/. It has some 323 liveries, but according to Discoord, it takes 10 GB of space unzipped. 10 GB is a lot for an SSD, especially if you are low on space. If I just want a few liveries from this megapack, is there a way to just install the few liveries I want, rather than all 10 GB?

Having played with this sim for over four weeks with no problems I recently experienced CTDs when trying to load UK airports. These problems lasted for two days then mysteriosly solved themselves. Hi to everyone, Last night I reported the problem to Zendesk. Bright magenta untextured taxiways appear, in my case, at various airports (for instance, KACT, Waxo, Texas). It is very annoying. Please, if there is anyone with the same problem (or if you know how to fix it), let us know. Thank you.

Just recently installed and generally looking around the features etc. With regards to the Live traffic, is this actually working yet? I have the setting turned on but when I am at an airport that apparently has live traffic I'm not seeing the aircraft. I can see planes parked at gates but none are actually taxiing, departing or landing. Also, is there a program available yet that can inject real life liveries to the aircraft? Thanks

During my Cannibal Queen flights in MSFS, I've been amusing myself by trying to pick out the Wal*Mart Supercenters in medium size towns. After seeing the one in my home town of Bonham, Texas I realized they had a distinctive footprint and should be easy to recognize from the air at 2500 feet AGL. And it turns out they are! I recently flew over Checotah, Oklahoma and saw a likely candidate. I just brought up Google maps to check and there it was, along with all the stuff on the roof which looked odd in the sim but turns out it was accurate. Well, my live weather is is dysfunctional. Whenever I go to start a flight, the wind @ my starting point is always the same 270 degrees @ 4kts. I don't recall this being an issue before the most recent patch. Anyone else having this issue? Any Ideas for a fix?

Hi all, Just been having a few issues and wondering if there is any fixes with where the AC loads when selecting a gate When starting a flight at a selected gate, where the aircraft is positoined is very odd. For example if there is lines showing where it needs to be the AC will be on a random angle Or it will spawn in the middle of the jetway etc

I am wondering if ultralights might get some love as well seeing how much detail is going into this game. I’m not talking about them being present as that is almost a given (or at least addon aircraft), they have been in all most all flight simulators I have used until now, but the world and rules that apply to them. I fly ultralight in Spain as they are a lot cheaper to maintain and fly and you are not bound by the often draconic rules applied to general aviation. I hope they include ultralight airfields, as there are a ton of them, a lot more than airports (at least in Europe). Spoiler this addon was supposed to change the way we handle pushback, unfortunately for me it's a joke ... rudder control ??? the only acceptable mode is with arrows ... BUT, I thought they would implement a NEW pushback animation system, new tractor models, NO! all is the same from Asobo- animation is faulty, connection is jumpy, stiff turns, and generally not very professional. So far, the best pushback that is available is Better Pushback for xp .... brilliant in its simplicity and use - you set the target destination and you do not care about anything else, and you as a pilot have time to start the engines and other activities. I am a flight from Charles De Gaulle to Heathrow and each time ATC say my transponder has failed and switch me to VFR. I am starting from the end of the runway with no mods. What is even staranger once ATC has converted me over to VFR then I can request going back to the original flight plan IFR and all is then fine, I even land on AP down the Heathrow 09R ILS!! Any idea what is happening here. CJ

Am I the only one who has problems with the A320neo and VNAV? With and without any mods, the altitudes are completely messed up in the MCDU, even when I created a flight plan within MSFS. Also, creating a flight plan manually in the MCDU shows the same problem. Close to arrival, flightlevels for waypoints are are jumping from 3000 to 28000 and back to 2000 and the "hockey stick" us moving like crazy on the Navdisplay. Furthermore , I'm not able to insert altitudes for single waypoints. Should not be a "user problem", because I had never a problem to use Fslabs, etc.. So my question - is it a general problem/bug, or is something messed up on my system?! Thanks!

There must be something gong on in my hometown... I can fly past Paris, 60FPS. I fly across Berlin, 60FPS. Tehran, 60FPS. London, 60FPS. Flying over my hometown which has about 500.000 citizens and the sim immediately starts stuttering. I can't get my head around whatever might be causing this. Has been since day one. It's not that Zombiecity issue we sometimes see. It just starts stuttering all over the place as soon as i come close to it. Anyone else experienced similar things?

KJFK does not have Lead in or runway Sequenced flashers on 13R or 13L. Maybe the last update removed them? Other airports I checked had them.

After a month of trying to play and finding solutions to various problems since the release of MS, here are the conclusions after 9 hours of playing (Pantagonia bush flight) with a perfect, great, flawlessly experience. Initial setup: 7700K OVC 4.8, 1080 TI 32ram (ovc 3000mhz) Monitor 4k Asus ROG Swiift Curved Ultra-wide QHD (3440x1440). My sense is Asobo is going through a steep learning curve (perhaps somewhat to their surprise). My understanding is they are very talented computer game developers. But it seems to me a big difference between the typical computer game (and admittedly I don't play computer games) and a flight simulator like MSFS, is the performance of the "players" (aircraft) in MSFS are being measured against their real world counterparts, while the super hero in a typical computer game is not. Hi all, After having shot this video and written this post, I played in free flight mode and I realized that this issue apparently concerns bush flights mode only (I tried the Sierra Nevada and the Balkans ones). Exactly every minute, consistently, I have a micropause in which both CPU and GPU usage % drop. Too bad I played only these challenges since the release, so I was not aware of the fact that during free flight, starting from the world map, this does not happen. I’m trying to set a limit of 100gb changing from the 8gb default. (Having really bad stutters and I’m hoping it’s because my internet was struggling with the small default cache it keeps stopping around 12gb when building the .ccc file... and then I think it locks up. Anyone else had this?

Tried this out tonight and while I did get it on the ground (short 40nm circuit to try ILS), lets just say I need to figure out how this thing works. Things like suggested T/O flaps etc and how to use the autothrottle. I took off with flaps 1 and rotated and the PFD settings VR of 149 and instantly started getting stall warnings but managed to keep it in the air and get the AP engaged. Figured out how to turn on the Autothrottle but can't seem to figure out where it gets it's speed setting from when the speed setting is "managed speed mode" so I ended up changing it to manual setting and dialed it in myself. I have been spending some time on various MSFS Discord servers which seem to have some quite active communities built up, but a few aspects of the platform have pushed me away from its use (mostly the large proportion of how can I put it...loud youngsters, but also some concerns over data mining aspects: *which see below) Are their other platforms with active online communities of Flight simmers with voice and text channels that have lively flight sim communities?. Is there a way to display wind data (strength and direction) in the B350i? I can't seem to find a way. Cheers.
