Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Ive been flying a lot of a320 lately, and I particularly enjoy the nx mod for it. Tonight, I did a flight from EKCH to ENGM with the b748, and a flight from ENGM to ENCN with the 789. With the FPS mod for glass cockpits I could keep my fps locked at 30, and the flights were smooth in both. The 748 AP functions are just terrible though. It is definitely the most broken of the lot. I'm used to using VS mode for climbs and descents for all my flights in MSF by now, but all of a sudden the 748 would just level off mid-climb, and refused to climb any further. Well I've finally worked out my autopilot issue and am able to stay in the air. Now I've found an interesting issue. I live in Illinois so I fly all around the state, including to and from Chicago. As I get close to Chicago,I need to contact various Chicago ATCs. One of the frequencies for Chicago is 127.6. However, it's the Rockford IL airport ATIS! It's super annoying keeping that thing going! Anybody notice any frequencies that don't see to be what they should be?

Now that FS2020 is beginning to settle into some sense of normalcy I've been thinking about the tools I use. I tend to lean on Sim-Brief, but am open to other suggestions on flight planning (I miss EFASS). I currently pay for Navigraph FMS so I could get their upgrade to add in Charts, but I wonder if people think that's just throwing money away since most of those charts can be gotten for free. I do find I scramble slightly during some flights trying to find what I'm looking for on AirNav. I fly 99% of my flights in the continental US, but sometimes fly in the Caribbean islands and RARELY in Europe. I'm currently flying the KingAir, but will shift to a Dash-8 or CR…

Can we please have a VFR moving map that does not depend on Local host ? When clicking on http://localhost:9000 or My computer IP:9000, Myself and several others are confronted with "Cannot reach this page. Localhost refused to connect". Thanks

Hi. Been flying around 55 hours so far and what I noticed flying IFR flights (mostly in TBM930) that ATC always vectors me too high for final approach. When I look in the APP charts of that airport I am flying to the real altitude at that point is much lower than what the ATC vectors to. Then I notice the runway approaching and still don't have a landing clearance and ATC is bugging me to keep 3000 feet of altitude... Sometimes I just cancel the IFR before final approach, but when I don't I am guaranteed to have to make a quick descent to the final. Hi, So now being more familiar with the process, I would like to know how to modify the "Transition" or "Sequence". When I "Activate" the procedure, it generates a tremendous loop (as illustrated in the sequence). How do I just let it fly directly to the selected runway, without all the other transitions ? I have 2 screen captures I can show, but don't have an attach image from computer option. Thanks.

Does the current flight model in MSFS 2020 allow for the creation of vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (six degrees of freedom) and wind-driven lighter-than-air craft like hot air balloons? I'm not qualified to make an accurate Harrier or F-35B, but I could see importing a 3D model of my favorite spaceship like an X-Wing or one of my own designs and making my own flight dynamics with VTOL / 6DOF, just for fun someday.. 😄 I've never made my own aircraft before, so how do the older flight sims like FSX handle this? Anyone else experiencing this (before I'll file a bug with zendesk). Everytime I'm talking to ATC or ATC talks to me I'm getting micro stutters. Otherwise I have stable and smooth FPS.

Hello, everyone! I own the MS Store version and I use it under the XBox Game Pass for PC. Yesterday, the XBox App received an update and I couldn't use any of the MSFS online features ever since. In the video below you can see, that there are no servers in the list (this 'automatic' and search signs stay forever), live weather is unavailable, live traffic is unavailable. I tried signing out and signing in and it didn't help. I tried reinstalling the XBox App and it didn't help. What else can I do? I'll appreciate any help. https://youtu.be/UZPCL_ySeXI

Let me start this off in saying we all have different issues into what's causing CTD's with our installs. Flying long range in the Longitude was/is mine: I got fed up when I tried to do an easy flight from KVNY to KHND (LA to Las Vegas). Right at the top of decent I was hit with a CTD. It happened every time I tried. I decided to fly the route in the opposite direction (KHND to KVNY) and it worked. I then went back and tried the original route and it worked. I tried the original route again and I was able to land without issue. Next test was KTEB to KFFC. I found initially a CTD at the beginning of climb out from the airport. Hi - two questions regarding wind settings (because I can't seem to find them anywhere and there's no in-game help or manual, apparently)... 1. when setting wind levels, what happens in the intervening space? Is this the same as x-plane, for example, if I set a level at 1000ft 0deg at 10kt and set another level at 11000ft, 180deg at 20kt, would I get: Ground: 0d at 10 500: 0d at 10 1000: 0d at 10 6000: 90d (or 270?) at 15 11000: 180d at 20 15000: 180d at 20 (or something close to that... is that how the wind layers are interpreted? I don't know if this has anything to do with updates to the game, but for the last week or so, airport markers don't show up until I'm right on top of the airport. Like, I was trying to land at a little dirt strip and the marker didn't even show until I was literally flying right over the runway. I don't remember having this behaviour in the game a couple of weeks ago. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hello, I did read this topic to " find your house." Can we import a gpx file in Fs 2020 ? May be with an external plugin / addon ? Or should I use an external program to prepare my flight (Navigraph, Little NavMap) My gpx file has more than 100 waypoints, 4 to 6kms between each of them, I would like to visit all of them (small villages around home) in one flight (some external programs can calculate the shortest way to order the list of waypoints ...)

Probably something that Asobo won't think too much about, but it would be nice to be able to organize aircraft better, instead of having one big grouping containing all of a given type, especially as people get more aircraft. In the past we could organize by manufacturer etc.

This is just a personal opinion people, sorry. I shall probably enjoy FSX or P3D for a couple of years more. The reasons Asobo and co decided to release seem to be purely financial and game-politics. It's not ripe yet. Sadly, my personal view is that msfs is more game like than lifelike and there are too many little niggly bugs, buglets and issues to allow enjoyment “out of the box” which FSX DID deliver. Too many things missing, too many restrictions on painting / content creation.
