I don't usually fly to larger airports but this time I was in Hanoi and saw this United A330 on the gate. First time seeing a non-generic livery on the AI and I haven't installed any addons. I used to build lots of AI traffic in the FSX days and kind of miss that in this. Hope Flight1 or some other will make the ultimate traffic with real world liveries for the AI.

Will there be an 800/900 version in a future update? Cheers,

Does anyone know if it is possible to toggle taxi ribbon assistance on-off? and why have they made them so ridiculously large, is there any way to make them smaller by editing a file?

Hi All, Despite some of it's initial issues I'm loving MSFS and see great potential. That said, something I'm not sure I fully understand is where we're at with AI Traffic. From what I understand there are two options. 1. Live AI Traffic. This is based on ADSB (or similar?) data from real world aircraft. In relation to that:- a) Are there any models other than what appears in the default sim? Has any 3rd party developer moved their models over? b) I know there are a variety of liveries out there for the default aircraft (mostly for the A320) but how does one assign that livery to ensure its used when the ADSB data represents that particula…

Just when you think you know it all about simmy world, it turns out you don't. The Bonanza should be getting about the same speed performance as the Baron in cruise (about 180knts). For the life of me, I cannot get the Bonanze to do more than 105knts in cruise (or climb) and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Climb performance is equally sub par. At about 9000 ft, the RPM is set at 2500, MP is 20, leaned for max performance, cowl flaps closed, temps and pressures are green , (undercarriage is up - in case that was the next question). 105 knots. Can anyone shed any light on what I am obviously doing wrong? Cheers

Seems that everytime I try to fly it's always something. One time I fly and the autopilot works perfectly. The next time I fly the same airplane the autopilot a total disaster. The heading bug still will only move 10*. I thought FSUIPC7 was supposed to take care of that but it does not. The update did not take care of it. Every time I go to fly, I start at the runway, I'll push the throttle up and the engines quit. Every time. So I have to restart the engine/engines. Every single flight is something different. I'm about to go back to P3D because I just can't take it anymore. Yeah, the scenery is hands down better than anything else we have, but I just want to t…

My number 1 pet peeve with MSFS is that it converts my TM Warthog HOTAS (Hands on throttle and stick) to a HOTASAK (Hands on throttle and stick and Keyboard). The inability to send keystrokes to MSFS from a source other than the keyboard is a real PITA. I know of no other simulations that do this and that includes train simulators, space simulators and all other Flight sims. My dearest hope is that this is temporary condition that MS will make go away in the near future. I have flown, fettled, built and sat in many (full size) aircraft in my life and believe it or not I have never seen one equipped with a keyboard. Programming the HOTAS functions within MSFS is…

Does everyone here do their civic flight simulator duty and vote for the bugs/changes they think are most important over at the MS forums? I looked today and “black avionic screen” has 324 votes. Really? That’s the best we can do? https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/self-service/bugs-issues/159 And for some people instead of writing a novella about your whiney opinions of what is wrong, go make a post about a specific issue and see if you get votes. Maybe it is all in your head :) But seriously, they gave us a platform to unleash our might as a demanding group of realists and I haven’t seen more than 400 votes to a bug. That’s not enough to get s…

Hi, sometimes my son uses my MSFS just to takeoff an airliner and land at an airport nearby. He never uses the autopilot, always flies manually. He has noticed some problems with the 787. After takeoff, during the flight, it is very hard to raise the nose (he trims the aircraft). Sometimes engaging and disengaging the A/P by double pressing Z helps, but it's still very hard. And another thing - when he makes an approach, it's incredibly hard to slow that thing down! Even with idle throttle, gear down, full flaps and fully raised spoilers the aircraft won't slow down below 185-190 kts, which makes landing practically impossible (it bounces off the runway and flies bac…

All other aircraft are fine, it's just the Baron, cannot keep it in a straight line. It feels's like it is corrupted. Am using a CH yoke with sensitives about 70%. Have calibrated it in windows. Anyone else having this problem?

Hi. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the flight model in MSFS. Anyways, a poster named noballer08 over at the official MSFS forums dug into the SDK to determine exactly what the flight model was: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/modern-flight-model/232844/3 Anyways, if you agree that noballer08 did a good analysis of the flight model, this is noballer08's initial impression is of the flight model: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/modern-flight-model/232844/11

Hi all It's a little perplexing that asobo aren't right on top of reported issues, verifying them and pushing out a hot fix, example being avionics issues, control sensitivities and any other verifiable bug. It's really not a good look to hear or see nothing until the next patch and also have the community fixing things that may potentially cause other conflicts. Surely it makes more sense to clear some issues up before the next patch breaks other things. No flaming please I'm enjoying the Sim just makes me wonder why Cheers Wayne

Hi All, Done some circuits in the A320 applying the autopilot after take off it will climb until the stall sound comes on. Also it will randomly turn the brightness down the pfd, plus the ILS is just so bad it now climbs to reach the glad scope and increases speed to do so. Anyone else having these issues I have tried with the A320 mod and without and all mods were removed from the community folder prior to update with only the A320 mod being moved back after. Thanks in advance. Daz

1- Is there a way to mute sim sounds only (not system sounds via speaker mute)? searched for assigned keyboard command and found nothing. 2- Is there a way to make comm (ATC) sounds through headset and the rest of sim sounds through speakers? FSX+P3D way? regards.

I bought a new expensive PC specifically for this new simulator. I had some fun but unfortunately after just a few weeks the computer died on me. I've shipped it back to the vendor and waiting a replacement. In the meantime I'm forced to use my old computer and the only sim I can play is FSX. They released a new patch but I'm still waiting. In FS2020 I had chosen the hot female copilot avatar, now I'm thrilled to find out she will also SOUND like a hot female copilot when she's handling my comms. For now I'm just back on FSX (mostly default, I was never a big addon spender except a few planes). I'm having nostalgia replaying the missions, some are super easy, …

I was having the lackadaisical power trouble of the G36. I tried the mod and it was better, but the numbers only got better when leaning from the get go, to avoid the engine from dying, as it’s a known issue with the mod. So that got me thinking, maybe reducing drag etc. helps, but the real issue is that the mixture is not well calibrated. I tried a little experiment: 1. I Removed the mod 2. Loaded up the G36 and leaned it to about 75% on the ground as with the mod. I was then getting similar numbers to the mod at take off and once in the air leaned from that 75% and had good climb power and faster cruise speeds. So maybe, the power issue is just …

Are those two Beechcraft mentioned above updated? I see there is now the missing altitude knobs but besides that, did they get any improvements? There seems to be no mods and not too many liveries for them either.
