It used to be these sites paid no attention flight sims when doing benchmarks, and you only had them for popular games. Now most of the big sites include MSFS, and this one is for MSFS only. Interesting because he performs the testing in all sorts of areas and conditions.

Hi Everyone, I do have a potentially stupid question regarding MSFS 2020. When I have a look into the data section within the options, it tells me that my data consumption ist 0.00 Gb. I'm online, Ping is fine, SSD got plenty of space available, rolling cache is on an properly sized, live weather works and I can see a lot of other players around. So basically, the system should be able do download secenery data - but i doesn't. Is it because my system is more on the lower end in terms of performance, settings are in the medium range of what's possible. This has been amping up for a bit now since the patch on the official forums and I myself am personally OVER IT.. I caught the entire failure on video now.. This happens MULITPLE times a flight. NO COMMUNITY addons.. Doesn't matter what plane you're in... VIDEO Flying to a VOR when suddenly.. Avionics abruptly fail, AP disengages the whole nine yards... Nothing you can do except flip the avionics switch off then back on to correct it.. IF you're lucky. Some planes there is no recourse. You're simply left without avionics. Only left to *wing it* or restart your flight. These kind of bugs are absolutely criminal and we shouldn't have to wait a month for…

Hello fellow simmers; I am posting this as a request to get enough support/votes for Microsoft to incorporate a much needed replay mode for the sim...I am pretty sure that a lot of us would really like to replay or landings and take offs to see how we performed. it still is very strange why this feature was not included by default as was the case with previous versions. I was having violent control inputs making the aircraft unflyable so I did a reinstall of MSFS, all 10 dvds, but when I got to inputting the 25 digit redeem code it said it had already been used. Anyone else had this problem and. if so, what was the solution? Thanks

Hello, Is there an issue with custom camera in TBM ? I tried to set one in cockpit by pressing CTRL+ALT+1 and then I have assigned one of my yoke button to load custom camera 1 but everytime I push it, that's not the camera I've set, even if I try to assign the load button to the keyboard, same result it's completely wrong thanks

Hi all I have asked in a few places but dont seem to get any response so I thought I would start a new topic. In the interview with Asobo, they mentioned it is "possible" for some legacy FSX aircraft to work in the new sim and it will be simply drag and drop. I want to try out some of my FSX sailplanes to see how well FS2020 simulates thermals / rising air and ridge lift etc. But I cannot seem to find where they would be drag and dropped too. I found the Microsoft.FlightSimulator folder within the Program Files/WindowsApps folder but there are no folders that seem to be where you could do it. I was expecting a different layout, so not exactly Sim Object/Airplan…

All the other analog axis on the throttle quadrant behave normally, except for the flaps. The white sliding bar that reads -100 to +100 for flaps) moves from one end to the other with no in between linear travel. Consequently, I go from no flaps to full flaps on the slightest lever travel. Any light on how to make the analog axis operate the flaps linearily --just like the throttles---would be great. thanks. tc

Some years ago Bruce Williams and Jeff Van West wrote books on using FSX for real-world pilot training. There were links from which you could download FLT, FSSAVE and WX files. Are those compatible with MSFS2020?

It's been asked, but I haven't found the answer... If I'm in the cockpit, how can I get a wind direction, speed, barometric, cloud etc. in the simulator? (Secondary question.. how do you adjust the barometric pressure on the G1000?)

I have my standard zoom level at 55 for cameras, but would really like to have another specific level for landings at 80 or 90. I can roll my mouse wheel to zoom in when I'm on final, but it always defaults back to the initial zoom if I switch to another camera for a moment. Anyone know of a way to retain a different zoom level for just a single camera? If not, then we need Ezdok as soon as possible.

After spending a few days getting the 1.8.0.3 update to install the program won't load (The sim did run just fine before the update.). The program starts and checks for updates and then goes to the loading screen. The progress bar moves very slowly up to about 7/8's of the way across and then stops. I have tried all of the recommended solutions on the Zendesk loading issues page without success. I have also tried the repair and reset functions in the App's settings. There are probably more things that I don't remember but any other suggestions would be appreciated. Bill

I was tempted to fire up P3D and/or XP to get a bit more training in. The QW 787 for P3D looks really good, and I figured I would get some training in. So I decided to watch a few videos and it immediately felt like going back in time. This isn't a slam on either of those products as they are both excellent in their own right. It just underscores how insane the leap forward MSFS is. Literally the medium/low settings in MSFS are on par with the best in those sims. It is really pretty crazy to think how far forward we have come with this sim. Ultimately, I could not bring myself to install either of them. I'd rather spend the time improving my knowledge. I have a pair of Iiyama ProLite E2409 monitors and thinking about buying a 3rd that's compatible with the 2409. I have a radeon RX570 card which i may have to up grade, But is anyone running 3 monitors and if so what are the benefits and negatives , So you get to see more ie, Front and side windows without having to use the mouse to see side to side. I am getting over 20 FPS and no stuttering Any thoughts would be great

Not sure what you think, but I have the feeling it is slightly too dark outside when it is cloudy. Sure, the contrast with sun-illuminated patches is dramatic and beautiful, but I am wondering if it is not slightly overdone. On the other hand, I find the lighting with full sunlight very natural (and not overly bright as some suggest). Of course, the lighting engine is otherwise superb. What is your experience?

Morning all, Hope everyone is enjoying the patch 2, I haven't had a chance to install yet. I recently built a new PC, Ryzen 3600, Nvidia 1660 Super, 16Gig Ram, etc. The performance in the sim is ok and I am on the whole really pleased as I was working to a budget. Would I see any significant improvement in the Sim if I upgraded to 32Gig Ram. Is it with spending another £60 odd quid?. Appreciate your thoughts. Chris

So this issue was present before patch 2 which is, after the initial flight if you load in at another airport (for flight no 2) the metar on the map is showing --- (ie nothing). After patch 2 along came the fix for the 3kt wind bug and this issue seemed fixed. However last couple of nights I've noticed the metar is dead after flight no 1 and I have to reboot the sim to kickstart things again?

Hello everyone, does MFS have those aircraft labels (type of aircraft, altitude, etc) for AI traffic? I love having them in FSX, but in MFS I can't find how to turn them on.

As per title. I engaged AP at about 1500' and the aircraft went full aileron deflection and rolled very quickly and violently to the right resulting in a stall and spin and hideous crash. I had a look around and found this pilot had posted this on YouTube; This is exactly what's happening in my aircraft. On the ground in external view putting the AP in will show the ailerons snap left/ right over to their stops. When autopilot is taken out they snap back to center. Has anyone else encountered this?

I got a monitor which has the following specs: 1080p 144 hz (G-Sync!) 24 Zoll I've observed something strange when playing around with the G-Sync function and changing the Hz of my monitor. G-Sync is turned on and should work properly. Now i rotated the Hz of my monitor between the two values 60 and 144. Despite of G-Sync is on and should regulate the Hz automatically there is a significant difference regarding how fluent MSFS is. The frames are same regardless of whether 60 Hz is set or 144 in the monitor settings but the image is much more fluent when 144 Hz is set. (Frames are around 40 in …

I'm positively surprised by the developement roadmaps that are published with biweekly updates (patches and features) inside. I also read the announcements that the product will be expanded and supported over a long time. I just can't help wondering how long this is really going to last? I mean I have come across a lot of similar announcements in my gaming career and only very few of these promises have finally been kept. (No man's sky being one of these examples) What would you think how long can we expect MS/Asobo's support before we are bound to 3rd party add-ons and user workarounds for gameplay issues?
