Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Anyone know why I can't copy certain folders over to my Community folder? I had this problem with certain livery and landmark add-ons. Some work fine and some give me this pop-up. It's very frustrating and I have no idea how to fix it. I have the Windows version of MSFS.

Has anybody made a delta or United 787 livery yet? Seems like people are doing GA and the airbus.

Quick question: Looking through the available functions for resetting the drone so it goes back to my airplane - what is that function called?

I had this window pop up this morning when I 1st started my machine and I've never seen it before. I don't recall ever having encrypted anything on my machine. I just built this machine brand new about 1 month ago. I am wondering if it's because of MSFS? I'm quite nervous about this popup. Does anyone here know what it could be? Just to be safe, I went ahead and made a backup of my certificates. Could someone do me a favor and run 'certmgr.msc' and tell me if they have any certificates listed under Personal > Certificates, and Trusted People > Certificates.

Anyone else seeing this? On the flight planning screen the 3 filters at the bottom for navaids etc. If I turned them on, plan and execute a flight, and exit the sim. Next time I fire it up those options are turned off again. Started noticing this since the patch. Starting to become quite annoying. edit: I don't know about any of the other options as they've stayed where I set them and/or was happy with the defaults (not sure which actually applies), it's just the bottom 3 for navaids etc.

After watching FX2020 videos and reading performance posts ad-infinitum I decided to wait for the DX12 update before installing the game. Seems to me that there are issues between the CPU and GPU whether they are current or a few year old tech. Besides that I'm hoping that the Avionics issues will be resolved and the completed SDK Rev. 1 will be released. One other piece of the puzzle is a great high performance 3rd party turboprop such as the RealAir LanceAir V2 with the Garmin GTN 750. Not to much to ask and I have alot of patience. Hello everyone! I am getting really good performance with GA planes currently at 1440p and with high end settings. I range from 65 to 80 FPS. With that said, do you think that it makes sense to lock my frame to 60 so I can maybe try going with higher graphic settings? I am fine if I can get around 50-60fps. If so, I've try to lock the frame from FS and that doesn't seem to work. Should I do it in the NVIDIA control panel? Thanks! Clem.

Flying 172 w/ G1000 from KSBA to KSMX and trying to use VOR to VOR, or at least minimize the waypoints/GPS usage. Tracking NNW past GVO VOR (113.8) at 5 NM with it tuned in NAV1 and it showed No Data in the BRG1 display but did show GVO in the NAV 1 tuning section. At that point NAV2 was tuned to GLJ VOR (111.00) which is about 5 miles NNW of KSMX. Again, the BRG2 displayed No Data with the VOR at a distance of 30 NM. Autopilot would not track to GLJ. I set the AP to GPS and flew to ZIPRR fix which took me almost directly overhead GLJ but never received an data in the BRG2 display. At ZIPRR I turned back into the ILS Rwy 20 approach for KSMX. i luv reading and learning from the threads in the FS2020 Avsim forum but would like to offer a few tips: 1) Report your issue to Zendesk after you make sure that it hasn't been reported before. Assume that it has already been reported and is being worked on. 2) Use a useful title like "My Saitek Pedals No Longer Work After Patch 3.2" and not "I'm Throwing This Sim Out The Window". 3) Leave egotism out (not helpful). Remember, your issue is not the only one. 4) Try to work out a solution with other members. Once again leave out the sarcasm. Cross posted on the flightsimulator.com forum...... After installing Patch #2 the sim asks me to insert a disc! I have the Premium Deluxe version as a digital download from the Microsoft store. I had no issues downloading the sim or the Patches. I downloaded Patch #2 Saturday and the sim worked fine all day. Sunday, it asks for the disc. I have strong internet (cabled broadband) and have applied no mods or fixes of any type. There is almost nothing on this desktop computer as I purchased it to run MSFS2020. As the title says, what's the benefit? From what I could find, one of the main benefits of FSUIPC previously was controller profiles that could be associated with different planes. But MSFS has that built-in. What else is there? ps. I have a programmable keypad and a touch screen (2nd display) that don't play well with MSFS, but I couldn't see any way FSUIPC might help me with those - it has the same issues.

I really don't know what happened, but now my drone camera won't move no matter what I do. I can get in and out Drone mode by hitting "Insert" key, but the camera won't move at all, except that it still responds to TrackIR, strangely. I tried keyboard keys, deleting/reconfiguring the joysticks buttons etc, none works. I finally realized I probably accidentally hit or changed sth that freezes the drone camera from moving? But it still responds to TrackIR, confusing as hell. Wonder anyone had similar problem too.

I can't explain the behavior when switching direct-to waypoints. If I'm on a direct-to to waypoint A, then midflight change it to another waypoint, it shows a secondary line on the map (two direct-to courses). Even though I selected "activate" it does not change course or display the new direct-to waypoint on the autopilot display. I'd be grateful if someone could point out what I'm doing wrong here. Hi. If you have flown the community A320 mod and you like what they are doing, they have been running into some difficulty working with Asobo. From what I understand, they have had communication problems with Asobo (or maybe I should say, a lack of communication because Asobo hasn't responded to some of their inquiries). Now to be fair, there are a lot of add-ons from the community so it's impossible for Asobo to respond to every community developer (by community developer, I am referring to freeware add-on developers, not companies like PDMG, A2A, etc). Well, after testing the aircraft I want to use autopilot with, and finding the AP buggy, to say the least, I have developed the following philosophy to deal with the situation: Until such time as the autopilot issue is fixed, I will only use MSFS as a VFR, hand-fly simulator. In my experience it is quite good in this mode, and I enjoy it a lot! If I want to fly tubeliners or bizjets IFR, I will use X-plane 11.5, where the autopilots work, and the scenery, while not up to MSFS standards, is still pretty good if we are being honest. Hi all, wasn't sure if this was the right section, but putting it here since it's about flightsim instead of the hardware specifically. For those running a Honeycomb yoke, what sensitivity settings and if applicable dead zone numbers are you guys using for it? I know I can't edit it in game, but I think I should be able to edit the .xml file manually after creating my own profile with custom layout etc. I just got my yoke and hoping to use it tonight but I'm guessing I'll need to adjust the sensitivity on it in the sim.

Hi, Has anyone experienced the issue that on all the jets in MSFS, when you advance the throttles beyond 78% N1,you hear a click, and they automatically & instantly jump to 100% N1? This makes it very difficult to make small and smooth adjustments during a landing or any stage of flight. And yes, this is with the Auto Throttle off, the Autopilot off, and in the case of the Boeings, with the Master Auto Pilot Bar disengaged. If this is not how the real airplanes behave, has anyone figured out a way around this in MSFS where you can get the throttles to stop advancing on their own to 100% N1? Any input would be much appreciated.

Just had a first. Tried to start the sim and got an "Insert game disc" message! Tried "continue" a couple of times (my copy is from the MS Store, not on disc) and ended up quitting, Restarted and no message. Beginning to think some of the subroutines might be from the 'infinite number of monkeys in front of an infinite school of keyboards' school of development. Oh well, ever onwards

Assumed the sim connect issues get fixed is it possible to use radar contact with 2020?

After trying the free test demo, I purchased xpforce, and after some adjusting of the settings, it's working well.....it's not just about force feedback too, it gives far better control, and good trimming......try the demo, which lasts 10 minutes. The best thing is the price....10 quid for a years license.....if you crave force feedback again, it's worth a try........and improvements are ongoing according to the dev.
