Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just wanted to start a thread to see what people think about this update. Not sure if we have some real world Cirrus pilots around here but I for one am impressed. The flight model and new interior is what got me. The heaviness of the nose (with so much weight compared to the rear of the plane) and the feel of takeoff/landings shows real effort was put into this one. I believe Cirrus was involved with this update. My only gripe is Asobo's continued trend of non-opening doors which says allot about how good this is.🍺

I would like to try this mod. I have a version 7 and a version 8. Does v7 still work? It looks like v8 is freeware and payware. Thanks for your input.

Purchased the Winwing PFP7. Trying to use it with the PMDG 737 and PMDG 777. Its connected, lights up, shows WINWING in display window and installed the SimapPro. When I start MSFS 2020, select the PNMDG 737 or 777 enter the cock pit, and nothing is happening with the Winwing MCP. As if its not even connecting with the aircraft. I did get a Key Binding message about can't find binding file from the game config folder. There are no bindings to assign to the Winwing MCP are there? Is so what might they be, and where would the file path be? Thanks, as always Walt

Recently, my FS2020 cockpit (on PC) has been failing at random times, where the Bravo throttle quadrant controls stop working (mid-flight), so flaps won't go down, manual throttle doesn't work, etc. But if I hit ESC then click on Resume, the controls begin working again. Now happening multiple times in a single flight. Has anyone else dealt with this, and maybe found a solution? Thanks, Erik Goodman

Hi all, Been on DCS for some time and had previous flight sims. I am looking for the cheapest way to get MS flight sim 20 or 24 here is the but ! I want my local airports Blackpool, Liverpool, Manchester, I will never do massively long flights so London and Scottish airport are about as long as I would fly. I would enjoy trying to land at hard airports but not do the long haul flights. is there a cheapish way for me to do this ? I dont need lots of aircraft, the basics will be fine I would just like to fly around my local airports and places I know. Thanks Alan

Hello guys! First of all, do you guys do long haul in MSFS2020/24 with the PMDG 777, iniA350, FBWA380 or Horizon 787? Does it work reliably like it used to be in P3Dv5? What are the right trimming surface settings for a collective stick 4-way digital hat-switch? I am a bit confused... ELEVATOR TRIM AXIS (-100 to 100%) [Helicopters] [Axis] This is clear, but this not for my digital hat switch. ELEVATOR TRIM AXIS (NOSE DOWN) [Helicopters] [Analog] ELEVATOR TRIM AXIS (NOSE UP) [Helicopters] [Analog] What are these? They are Analog, but the UP and DOWN are in separated axis. I would need Digital versions of the NOSE DOWN and UP trim controls? What are the four control trimming surfaces I should use?

I have made a flightplan in Little Navmap and then I exported it as MSFS2024 flightplan. But how do I import it in MSFS2024 ? I see no option to do that.

Just took flew the 747 on a short final to JFK on MSFS 2024 (A Landing Challenge). Have any real 747 pilots flown the MSFS 2024 747? Thoughts and comments? Nobody talks about the Queen of the Skies. For a default aircraft created by Asobo it seems pretty good. It is fun to fly.

Hello Gang! Has anyone noticed any issues with shooting ILS approaches into runway 17C at KDFW? Yesterday while shooting an ILS approach into ru7nway 17C at Imaginesim's KDFW, my ILS signal was fine until intercept time when the needle wet all the way in the wrong direction, signal was lost, and I had to take over and shoot manually. I did this circuit with PMDG's new 777-300, Imaginesim's KDFW for MSFS2024 version, and using Navigraph's Navdata. Interested in any insight. Thanks

So I have been using this for ages and absolutely love it. While I wait for my Winwing unit I am running two old tablets as my R/L and Center CDU's in the 777. Hello guys, i wanted to know if anybody had ever experimented this issue on scheduling an IFR flight in flight simulator 2024 for xbox serie x, i just can't get an IFR clearance while flying an A320 or whichever big plane, the virtual ATC keep sending me vfr clearance... does anybody knows how to fix it ? unlike in pc we can't enter the ifr clearance while choosing the airports when playing with the xbox...

I used to be able to take screenshot by pushing I think the button with the three lines or the arrow button. But now it doesn't work. Anyone know how to take screenshots with xbox controller?

It feels like I have to use less anti-torque pedals in Msfs 2024 then Msfs 2020 when flying Taog's different helicopters. (I don't use the default helicopters and of course no assistans) Is that a bug or are the dynamics changed that much between those two?

hey guys, ive posted on fsdeveloper and other forums to no avail..hoping someone here can at least point me in the right direction. trying to figure out the autopilot on the GAS Super Stearman. when engaged...the trim lever instantly goes to neutral and the airplane as a result just nose dives. ive tried different autopilots ion the system.cfg including from the default baron etc. the trim goes to zero and never moves..its like it doesnt even try to correct itself to hold altitude. ive tried using keyboard controls, and the PMS GTN 750. all works in other airplanes. ive even taken EVERYTHING ELSE out of the community folder thinking it was a conflict...what am i missing..…

I took a long break after 2024 release because the performances were garbage and I was very disappointed. I recently bought the best AMD cpu on the market (at least for consumer segment) : ryzen 9 9950X3D. I initially bought this cpu for my work and not for playing, I could have bought the non 3XD version for $200 less if I knew how MSFS was going to disappoint me (again): Fresh reinstall of windows & MSFS 2024, I start up at KJFK with default TBM : 30 fps, stuttery poppy mess, "limited by main thread" with lowest graphics.
