Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm at a loss right now. Just got a new Gen 5 system: VENGEANCE a8200 Gaming PC: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5, 4TB (2TB/2TB) M.2 SSD Can't run MSFS 2024 in 4K. It Vrams out on high settings and sinks to single digits on the frames. Pretty much the same settings in MSFS as I was using on my 10900K and 3090. Same settings in the Nvidia APP as well. All drivers up to date. At 2K it's fine. Friends have lesser systems with the same 16gb Vram and can run just fine at 4K. Can't figure out what's causing the problems.

Hi guys, cloned my F drive which hold my 2020 and 24 sim. The cloned drive does still how as the F drive so thats good , but when I launch FS2020 its not locating it. All the other apps that auto launch with MSFS via addon linker start just fine "Microsoft Flight Simulator can’t open because it is offline. The storage device might be missing or disconnected." Anyone know what I need to do?

Update available as on July 26th, from 1.0.12 to x.x.13. The Scout remains a solid addition to any helicopter hangar, especially considering its price point. The torque stall however is a bit tricky.

Can anyone help me understand three things: 1. When you click NAV after takeoff, unless the NAV line is directly in front of you, the aircraft doesn't pick up on the line, so you have to turn to a heading of within the region of) of the NAV line, for LNAV to pick up. Is there a workaround here? 2. I keep getting a warning sign saying 'Cabin Altitude' - How do I correct this? What should the pressure be set to exactly? 3. After setting up a flight plan on the MSFS home page, clicking Flight Plan on the FMC activates the flight plan, but it always places a discontinuity in there, and sometimes in (farther afield locations), adds a little holding…

Hello, I joined the Sim Update 16 beta and it seems that the Map Enhancement mod does not work with it. I can Start the mod as usual but when i go to start a flight , the default Bing maps only show. Also , within a few minutes a CTD with a 000000005 error . Left the beta and everything back to normal , no crashes and Map Enhancement works perfect. Wondering if anybody who is in the beta is experiencing the same issues. Thank you

This is the best simulator, visually speaking, to fly helicopters but all the helicopters in the sim fly wrong. I bought the Premium Deluxe version to have the H225 because it was done by HPG...what a waste of money, It doesn't even have upper modes and I saw in their Discord that they won't implement them in the SU3, only "cosmetic" changes with SU3 after almost 9 months, in a Premium Deluxe helicopter!. I would love to see a Working Title treatment to this model like they did with the CJ4 or Longitude. @SeedyL is there any plans to improve helicopters in MSFS2024 that you can share with us?

Hi, I'm using Active Sky FS with FS2020. Is there a way to completely disable snow ground coverage? There's an option in the menu to set a temperature threshold, but it's not very effective or broad enough. Does anyone know of a mod or setting that completely eliminates all ground snow coverage? Thanks in advance!

I went to buy the flightfx citation, hit the buy and download button, selected my payment method, went ahead with the purchase and then it said I lost connection the the marketplace and my transaction failed. Checked my bank account and I was charged for it, Didn't receive a purchase conformation email and there is nothing in the content manager to download. I contacted support but it does not look like they are in on weekends. 😞

Hello, Has anyone notice something sticking out of the fuselage after the Door 3 on the right-side and under the first window?? It looks like a hook-type thing with something and the color is black. It was not like that before and it is not the RAT. I don't know if there is a button or key to make it go away. Any help is appreciate Thanx.........

Was so looking forward to flying around areas I know and navigating by landmarks. this is impossible because most of them are not shown. how can this be satellite images if the landmarks are no there ? For those who open multiple applications with MSFS and don't know how to do it with one click, I thought I would post the batch file I created for my programs below. Simply create a text file in notepad with the following text, save and rename it with a bat suffix rather than a txt suffix. So there have been so many rumors about the layoffs at Microsoft and XBox, and people are worried about how it will affect MSFS. I’m doing lots of short flights with NeoFly in a loaded Kodiak (previously) or C208 (now) to practise my hand flying and I’m consistently getting a comment from the NeoFly dispatcher that my landing was rough. I’m not denying it… most of the time I’m coming in too high and too fast. I’ve even tried circling the pattern to bleed off some altitude and speed. Still not good. My wife said maybe I should switch to helicopters LOL. I think two things would help… 1. A way to review my landings from outside to get a better feel for my approach. Can I do that in 2024 now? Or do I need a third party utility? 2. I could use some tips… How far out and how fast should…

I've searched their docs, looked around the cockpit, and I cannot figure out how to turn off the rearward cockpit light, it makes the whole thing too bright during a night flight. All the controls I've found are just for fine control of the panels etc, but please tell me there's a way to turn this off?? It also isn't the "Dome" light. Thanks,
