  1. Hey all,I was just wondering about the weight of the cargo missions. So far they are all listed as Light Cargo. Required A/C category: Cargo, very light. So an example mission would be, deliver 864 Kg of mail to xx destination. The info sheet on my Maule says it has a max payload of 376 Kg in addition to fuel. So how is it I would be able to go so much above my rated max payload? Also, just a little math... The max gross weight for take off (and landing) is about 1134 Kg, that includes everything. If I only count the weight of the empty A/C (780 Kg), plus max payload, I'm up to about 1156 Kg. Already over the max, for safety. So that said, if I were to carry 864 Kg…

I can see in the awards list that there are awards for rescue missions yet I do not find any on the jobs board apart from the kayaker rescue normal mission. As such my rescued people counter stays at 1. I immensely enjoyed the kayaker rescue mission and also one of my favourite FSX addons was Rescue Pilot. Has anyone managed to do some rescue missions besides the default mission or is this maybe something that they would ad in the future?Appreciate your views,Alex

  4. Hi all,Just thought I would join the community here as I am starting to generate some questions about flight, and I have no one to ask :Thinking:So far I am really enjoying Flight. I am using an Xbox360 controller so far, and it is actually working out really well. I have at least silver on all challenges, and half are golds. (realisim settings are set to hard, all toggled off) woot. While my basic knowledge of flying has obtained me these medals, I know I should learn more to get all golds. And this is why I am here now :Just Kidding:My first quesiton is about the Stearman. I need more power. I am doing the job of taking the man on a tour, and my first stop was to …

Has anyone figured out how to set the default Eye-point forward yet? I don't like changing the the default zoom because it messes with the zoom of the world, not just in the cockpit. ((((( computer>C:>Users>UserX>AppData>Roaming>Microsoft>Flight> open Cameras.CFG with notepad and change InitialZoom under [CameraDefinition.002] from .06 to whatever)))))If you push ctrl+E it moves your head forward in the cockpit, while leaving the rest of the world at the same zoom.I use Backspace alot to reset eyepoint, so when looking around you just push Backspace to reset the view looking exactly straight forward, but unfortunately this resets the eyepoint for…

I usually don't have a problem getting a plane into a sustained spin, but in Flight I cannot seem to do it. In most sims I'm frantically trying to get the plane out of a spin after acidentally inducing it. In Flight try as I may I cannot get the thing to truely spin, controlled or uncontrolled. Is there any sort of tip or trick anyone has to keep the plane from exiting the spin virtually on it's own? I don't have any of the assists turned on and have been practicing in the RV-6a.

I was one who avoided the Mustang because of the lack of cockpit, but reconsidered and bought it a couple days ago. Am glad I did for the following reasons--the exterior model is very well done, and the sounds are very good. I remember as a boy (about 65 years ago) hearing the P-51s flying past during practice manuvers as they flew out of a nearby base and practiced strafing runs along a nearby river--absolutely exciting. The MS Mustang does not disappoint. Pressing the F9 key does give a nice clear view, of course, with nothing but the heads-up display, but that's enough to fly by. My question is that, using a joystick hatswitch to scan around, without sight of the …

How do you do it? I would love to continue from exactly where I left the aircraft in its shutdown state after a job yet I cannot save the flight from the main menu. And when I do a challenge or something else in between there is no way to return to my original position. Is there no way to continue from the same airport doing a new job from the same place where you left your aircraft the previous mission? When to save the flight so that if I do some other challenges I could continue my separate imaginary pilot carrier?Thaks a lot,Alex

So when I'm doing missions I find it very hard to resist skipping to the next waypoint...lol. I really rather be doing multiplayer flight plans, so just do missions to get xp to unlock new paint jobs and what not. So I'm thinking lets get this boring mission over asap to get the xp....then bam I skip to the next waypoint. I feel like there should be some reason not to skip to the next way-point (like extra xp or something)

  14. The last few days of flying, whether it be clandestine missions, or aerochaches, my weather speed and direction no longer shows up on my HUD. I thought nothing of it for a while, thinking that maybe the mission had no wind. I've checked my weather settings and it looks like I should at least have a low wind. It seems there is really no effect on my A/C but that is probably to do with my current settings. I have noticed that the socks at air fields still do indicate a low wind and direction. This missing from my HUD is probably what some people would prefer actually, but I'm kind of missing it since there's no other way for me to know the wind except finding wind socks …

I am having a hard time seeing where a waypoint diamond is located in the 3D world. I wish MS would come up with a more 3D-like solution as with the gold rushes.I just did an aerocache hunt and I suddenly noticed the 'diamond' that was showing me where the aerocache was. However, it looked as if the cache was almost below me but in fact I had to fly over 3 ridges before I could actually see it down in a canyon. The same goes for when I have to taxi somewhere: because the diamond doesn't become bigger or smaller I have no idea at ALL where it is in the 3D world.Anyone else also having problems with this?

Changed my Scenery Density to Maximum today (left everything else on HIGH), and WOW, what a difference. I experience a ZERO performance hit on my system, and I'm amazed at how dense Oahu is. Started on Ford Island with the Icon in inclement weather and flew toward Honolulu. The city is immense and there is a premium on open land. That's how dense it really is. Unlike FSX, there was no stuttering or hesitation with this much density. The scenery at MAX didn't fade in or out. It was there from miles away, and didn't "pop" into view. I've never seen that in a sim. The feeling of real flight was there. Picked up a few Aerocaches, and after passing Diamond Head, I asce…

I resisted buying the cockpit-less Mustang until a couple days ago then broke down and downloaded. It's a gem! Beautiful exterior and great sounds, and pressing F9 does give a forward view but of course, no aircraft features. It nonetheless can be flown well using the heads-up display information, landing is a bit of a challenge but learnable. The real problem is that, using the joystick hatswitch to scan around, its a bit of guesswork trying to return to a straight ahead view. There doesn't seem to be a keyboard command to snap back to forward view (as could be done in FSX by a Shift-spacebar press). Am I missing something? Otherwise, I recommend this plane--it's …

I think this is a system-locale related bug.In some non-english locales(especially korean), the additional label with the cursor is showing weird text(maybe scripts) than the information of instruments. Japanese locale is also tested, there is no problem.I hope the dev team correct this!

I tried to do my first ever aerocache hunt but when I try to do the hunt of the day, the mission is locked because I need the Hawaii adventure pack... which I already own. I redownload the pack (which takes a second because I already have it) but after that the aerocache mission is still locked...What's up...???

When doing missions or anything I wish there would be some good map in the game. Sometimes its hard for me to tell where the runways are lined up. I know about pressing M(forget if u can press that during missions) and viewing birds eye view with zooming in and out but I dont like it. Anyone else feel this way?

I didn't try landing in that pond at 12000 ft. yet. Maybe later. ;)But, I have been having fun flying through the hangars just to the West of Runway 8L at Honolulu. Done it repeatedly with all the airplanes.Next is to fly through them inverted! :oBest regards.Luis
