  1. I would like to implement the TrackIR workaround but seem unable to download glovepie from the link listed in the tutorial here on avsim. The link provided was http://glovepie.org/glovepie_download.php. This page refers to a download page but there doesn't seem to be a link to the download page? Thanks was any assistance.

Hello everyone,Just thought in hopes the Microsoft flight team are reading these posts, I thought it would be great to have a toe axis that's assignable to rudder pedals. I have the Saitek yoke/pedals and you can only assign left and right toe brakes as a command, not an axis. This results in once you push the toe (left or right) it registers for a split second so you have to keep tapping the toe for any braking to register (which can get quite spastic!).If they added a brake axis (for either both/left and right) this would solve this problem.P.S Check out some pictures I added of a fun flight I arranged this Saturday in the sub-forum "Flight Multiflyer Forum"

Omg, what has Flight done to me?I am I guess in that group folks would refer to as a " serious flight simmer". Hard core? Yeah maybe, not as hard core as some, but more hard core than others. I guess if I had to define my level as a flight simmer, I would call it a " medium level hard core flight simmer".While I played aroud a little with early versions of MSFS, and even before MS aquired the title, on a friends computer who had an early version. I guess I really got into them around the time Red Baron came out - loved that title. I remember well the days of creating a boot floppy disk for dos, to free up some of what little memory we had in order to be able to run the p…

I'm sure I saw a post from a RW Van owner. Does anyone here have any experience of flying one? Can you really throw it around like that? That's one crazy aeroplane..I've been doing stall turns inside steep valleys and recovering..Flying inverted down a sloping cliff face and barreling out at the end..And Immelmans for heavens sake! You can build this plane, too right? Like in your garage?Any info from RL pilots greatly appreciated!bestjake

All,As a simmer from the Commodore 64 days, with most likely thousands of dollars spent (ouch!) on dimming, I hope to bring an OPINION on Flight. Everyone has opinions, so please remember this is my personal interpretation on this sim.I want to know the future, plain and simple. This is a nice game (sim)...I will not call it a sim until it delivers full sim realism. Sorry if I offend the Flight community, but I feel that I should be able to voice my opinion. If some are able to applaud its good points, than I feel that I can discuss its shortcomings.Show me the future of this sim. If I see a full world, with full world terrain, and possibilities for 3rd party develop…

Hi there,So I have see a few posts talking about graphics settings and how they set most on high and a few to maximum.Well I do not seem to have a maximum setting at all... I am stunned really but ll my sliders only seem to go up to high.My graphics card is not the newest (a 285GTX) but it is certainly not from the past century either.Anyone has any idea why I am seeing only 3 levels of graphics settings and not the maximum one?(By the way Flight looks amazing enough with everything on high too)Thanks,Alex

  9. When performing the scenic tour with the crop duster and using waypoint advancement, the female passenger always complains about high altitude which the waypoint advancement placed me at. Is there a point to that? I looked in my cockpit & couldn't find a heater switch. Clearly she wants a lower altitude but why does waypoint advancement place me so high in the first place if she doesn't like it?Thank you,Jas

Scanned the forum fairly quickly, didn't see this topic - my apologies if I've missed it!Helicopters in Flight - while I would love to see them offered as DLC, do you think it makes sense with their new business model to offer them? Flight was/is being marketed as a way to "ease in" to flight simulation/gaming - do helicopters fit? I recently set a new challenge for myself to master helicopters in FS9 - while I can now maintain hover in an area the size of a parking ramp for almost a minute (self sarcasm meant), it is a difficult task. I'm a glutton for punishment, so I'm enjoying the challenge...Can helicopters be made accessible the same way the Icon has been? Can M…

I really love the fog in MS Flight. I just did a free flight (using VOR and ILS: I never used VOR in FSX and in MS Flight I love it!) in the RV6 and it was awesome. Just have a look at the fow below the plane here:http://www.swe-gaming.com/fsx/files/2012-03/101059_Awesome fog.jpgBut (why does there always have to be a but...?! ) what I did notice and did not like at all, is that (at least with the inclement weather preset) the fot layer suddenly pops up...! I took off and had that nice moving fog around me and SUDDENLY everything was white underneath me! I descended a little and you could see the layer of fog pop up and disappear again at a specific altitude.Anyone else …

Hey gang,If it is available to you, and you have not yet done so, you really want to do this mission. I did it late last night, and it was incredible. A blast to do, the scenery there along the coastline is gorgeous, and there are some aerocaches to be had as well.In addition, that is the first time I have spent much time on the water in the Icon. The Flight team did a fantastic job of modeling the Icon being on water, dang thing felt like I was driving a boat. The sound of the water as you skimmed across it hitting the hull, was very realistic. Now I have never flew an Icon in RL, or any airplane for that matter, on water or land - but I have been in boats numerous times,…

Whew, just finished the small airstrip photo project in the RV6. Man that photographer can get on your nerves a little, on the other hand was kind of nice to hear some feedback during the flight - took me a while to get through it, but I did not use any of the skip functions either. Just flew around enjoying the nice scenery, was relaxing actually.Lol, one thing for sure, you can't just run over the taxi way markers in your plane, at the final airfield I landed and was taxiing to park, there was a sign in front of me so just kept going - dang plane got stuck on the sign! Thank goodness for checkpoints! You know I know I saw several folks early on commenting on how the firs…

I had heard that multi-player sessions can be a bit silly, with other players just trying to crash into you, but tonight was fun. I set up a session on the big island, figuring that more players would be around, and after cruising around in the Icon (in SAR colours) spotted a Stearman flying low and slow...Before long we were having a friendly tag race between the tall trees, over the lava flows, and down low by the coast... It was sunset and getting darker, but then two more planes appeared, so we found a golf course and had an impromptu fly-in by landing on one of the fairways. At this point we started chatting via the texting box thingie, and shared out a case of virtu…

I have a older microsoft usb joystick. Cant find the model number on it for some reason sorry. Anyways it has four buttons on the side and I have assigned my rudder and flaps to them but I have to keep pressing them for it to work. on the keyboard you can just hold the key down and wondering how I could do that with my joysticks buttons. Maybe them turbo buttons or something. I didnt see anything like that in the settings of the game. Thanks

Flying over Honolulu in flight! with all settings at max, I was struck again at how silky smooth it all was. Keep in mind this is with full shadows, autogen everywhere, water that would be at the very highest setting in fsx.........And it was all perfectly smooth. This started me thinking about FS9 and New York.Back in the day, FS9 was able to do a fairly nice rendition of the city, and on my modern machine nowadays its a no brainer. Yet even to this day, FSX avoids large cityscapes because of frame-rate issues. Even the super-large and detailed airports with all the trimmings that were appearing at the end of the Fs9 life cycle are still only for the very best machines c…
