Any chance of MS Flight adopting any of the old CFS weapons systems for online combat like Fighter Ace back on the MSN gaming zone?

This is probably a dumb question but you never know unless you ask. I have noticed that lowering the flaps in the RV does not seem to reduce the speed at all. I have always lowered the flaps to slow down for landings and that doesn't seem to work in flight. I need to reduce power and pull the nose up to lower the speed and I have been doing that but I don't see where the flaps do anything. I checked and the flaps are down so I know the joystick buttons are working. Thanks

I am having one heck of a time installing MS Flight. The download was easy. But it is taking an estimated 8 hours to install the program into my computer. I have installed Firefox and Chrome...to no avail. I have an I-7 prosessor and 8 Gb DDR3 ram. I use Sprint Hotspot for Internet connection. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Having reached the Aerobatic missions in the RV-6 I'm impressed that the game can recognise manouvres at all, but have some reservations and am confused with the scoring.After a couple of attempts my scores were Manouvre Score45 down aileron roll 100 Half cuban eight 300Inside loop 300Hammerhead 500 Tailslide 400 Aileron roll 200Full cuban eight 800Snap Roll 400 Now my 45deg downwards roll was OK, much better than my hammerhead or tailslide (maybe they have a difficulty factor?).But I never got to do a full cuban or snap roll as I broke out of the box before then, so whose points were th…

I have noticed that nearly all of the job times for cargo flights are 10 minutes.........I just did a cargo flight with the Maule for a distance of 169nm.......Excluding take off and landing times this would mean that the Maule would have to fly at 1014nm/hr.......Bring on the F16.

just did one before I started to bring 4 pax to hana (still 16nm to go). the clandestine got me 15k XP. nice, sure. but wouldn't it be great if you could do this in multiplayer that way that 1 does the dirty job and other have to find him and eventually bring him (virtually at least) down before he reaches the goal? so you really need to avoid other planes, fly through canyons, hide behind mountains etc. and the law enforcement guys (hey, I got the police scheme unlocked for the RV6 and wanna use it!) would have something like a radar alas the aerocache sensor, whenever the pilot doing the clandestine missions flies higher than 1000f AGL he can be 'seen' or rather sensed.…

This post may not fit the requirements, but it might be construed as a hint, of sorts. After completing a couple "jobs" today, I checked my career progress--Level 14, some accolades, many crashes, 40% passenger satisfaction, 4 % made ill--not a bad performance for a 71 year old novice. - I'd like to loose score or plane to fail if I put too much G load on it or exceed speed with flaps, gear extended, etc.- I want TrackIR support- IFR missions- VFR missions without objectives marked by yellow diamonds- Additional Joystick Axes: * elevator trim * flaps (some planes have too many flaps settings and it takes forever to set what I need) * left/right feet breaking

Do the Hobbs meters work in the airplanes? Is time flown in each plane kept for each pilot?

I'm sure the MS flight team is already working on a tower system, so I'm not rushing them, just thought of a few ideas that thought would be nice, and if anyone else has some ideas please add them. So lets say we're flying as a group of 16 people to a small airport to land, I thought it would cool if one person from the group that wanted to be the control tower, could land first while the rest of the group goes into a traffic pattern around the airport, then that one person would start telling people when to land. This would help with the unruly landings where 10 people are on final at once which can cause accidents. (sorry sim pro's I'm explaining how it would work for t…

Figured I'd try here first before I tried MS support. Can anyone tell me if there's a panel for the P51? I got it for being a beta tester and dl'd it. Extrior model looks ok, but there's no panel. Can't find any control listed like the "W" in FS. Searched the forum, but no one's asked, so far.Matt

I have to admit I am very disappointed by Flight, be it a free download or not. I knew it was limited to Hawaii, had almost no choice of airplanes, no support for add-ons and was mostly about flying missions and earning points. No problem, it is a different genre after all.But I fail to see significant improvements over FSX/Prepar3D in the graphics department, and over 5 years since the release of FSX I did expect some bloody new and absolutely stunning graphics.I see the same horrible default clouds as in FSX, I see the same autogen scenery as in FSX, a little improved water with the same reflections as in FSX (DirectX10). I never saw this documented in the manual and just accidentally stumbled upon it and it solved one of my biggest pet peeves with this game.Problem: With the text window up you can't operate certain cockpit instruments until it goes away. This is troublesome in multiplayer or if you switch cameras a lot.Solution: Put your cursor over the item you want to adjust and roll the mouse wheel up or down to operate it. Depending on how you have your scroll wheel speed configured this has much much much more precision than the typical click and drag method. I have been using Flight in a completely unexpected way.While flying around in the Stearman I will pass over some landmark, like a waterfall, and decide I need a closer look.So the next step is to find a suitable landing spot, not always as easy as it would seem (insert helicopter desires here).Upon landing the next step is to find a spot to park that is flat, again not always as easy as you'd think.Which brings me to my first request. Am I just being slow in realising that the P-51 can be flown with a 'temporary' virtual cockpit, by setting your view inside the aircraft using the CTRL+Q/CTRL+E keys?Then, whatever airport/airfield I go to the view remains the same. AND... it I save the flight, and re-load it later the view still remains set :)

Hi everybody, Well, I was hosting publicly a few days ago and on 2 occasions other simmers crashed into me, ruinning my cargo flights. They were just new simmers goofing around. Well, I have no problem with that and am glad to see the new interest in simming. So, I thought, how do I work around this?
