I`m not able to reach the 20.000ft service ceiling in the Maule. No matter what i do, can`t get over 16.500ft.With the Stearman i can go over 20.000ft but by the paper it should have 13.000ft service ceiling.Something wrong with me or the programming of the aircrafts in flight?

Hi all! When I installed Flight, I initially turned off all the flight assists. But I could swear that I wasn't able to do spins in the Stearman.Today I tried again and now I can do spins. So I was wondering if the model was updated or are spins a feature that gets unlocked with growing experience?Has anybody else experienced this or did I just not try hard enough in my first hour with the Stearman?

Hi all, new here.I have been sim racing for quite some time, but never had an attraction to flight sims. Whether real or perceived, the barrier to entry seemed much too high to me. When MS first teased Flight, it was the first time I had an interest in a flight sim, I am firmly in the target market they are trying to attract. If Flight was a $60 box, I would not be playing it, and would be worse off for it. The ala carte model is really ideal for me.I am glad they made this game to appeal to a more general audience, I have having so much fun with it and would have ignored a FS11 release unfortunately. Anyway, I am sure everyone is sick of this topic rehashed over and over…

I wonder why the boys at Redmond omitted the Flaps from the Flight version of the Icon A5. Not that it needs flaps base on the virtual flight characteristics but the real one does to successfully land. It's interesting as this is the flagship model for this version of the sim just like the Learjet was for FS98 or Concord for FS2000, you'd think the attention to detail would be on par with other models in this sim. I would love to know if the FDE is not as exact as the real one and what's the difference in how they fly. The other models in Flight are spot on in my opinion...

I've seen mentions in other threads of setting up winds to acheive certain things - landing on the little lake, backwards landing, practicing crosswind landings etc, How is this done? Unless I'm missing something all I can change is weather scenerios, season, and time of day. I don't see anywhere I can set up a xxkt wind at xxx direction.

For me, it is Kauai. The most varied terrain. Wonderful canyons and waterfalls. Just really like the atmosphere of the place. But I keep going back to the Big Island because it has a really wonderful rendition of volcanic activity. Last trip I landed close to the thermal area and then walked to the edge of the crater and watched what was going on. Really impressive. So much reminded me of the thermal activity in Rotorua New Zealand which I have visited on numerous occasions. But there it is bubbling mud and geysers rather than lava.If MS can do for other areas of the world what they have done for Hawaii then we have a lot to look forward to.

HiJust downloaded the flight sim and purchased Hawaii adventure and I am really enjoyed it.I know that to eliminate stuttering you enable the moving map on the instrument panel of the Icon, and this really works, but how do you enable the moving map on the Van's RV-6A? If you haven't got the moving map on the RV-6A then is there something else to enable so you won't get any stuttering?stelios

  15. I have noticed in other players video grabs that they have circles around the other player aircraft. I can't seem to enable this assuming it must be enabled in the first place. I normally fly with all the aids turned off, but I tried enabling all the aids tonight without luck. Now that I have been flying on multiplayer for a few days, I have encountered enough kamikazes on the ground or in the air that I would like a some help spotting and avoiding them.

Hi all, I am a real world private pilot. I also have been simming for many years. I too love track ir and the way it revolutionized fs9/fsx. That being said, we will obviously have to wait. And, mostly due to that, I resisted MS Flight. Also because I used FSE. And yes, I did say "used"!! But as I eased into MS Flight, I realized that I was having fun. Is it smoother? Yes! Does it crash? No! Are the graphics better? Yes! Are the job boards just like a built in FSE? Yes! Do the job boards on MS Flight go down for "server maintenance" (won't name names)? No! Are the flight dynamics more realistic? Any real world GA pilot that tells you they aren't is lying. Oh and by the …

So far very suprised with Flight, and im am quite enjoying it thusfar. I would like to know of p51 owners for Flight, are their dedicated missions to fly with it (EX: Landing missions etc) or is it just a plane to use with free flight for the most part. I am aware that it is just an external model, but does that mean it has no VC at all? Thanks!

Hi guysI remember that in FSX there was a button to press so the cockpit (instrument view) would vanish and have a front view with no instrument showing. Is there such a button or combinations of buttons in Flight? and what is it called? I want to program the "trigger" button of my joystick just for that because in approach you want to see the landing lights but as the nose is up you can't see them or the runway so clearing the front view with a preset button would be very helpful.stelios

In the beginning the Flight wa running just ok. Then I decided to give some money to MS and buy the Hawai Adventure and flight begun to crash on start with this error: I have tried anythig I could think of, but nothing worked. Tried to reinstall Flight, but am gettin an error at that point too (a different one). By passed by manually extracting the cab, installed the game, getting the same error. Is there anything I could try short of system reinstall? Thank for all your advice in advance!

Inspired by an end-of-runway refresher from Starztorm (thanks :) ) I created a simple tutorial for VOR navigation in the RV-6 (and Maule). In the last day (!!!) several posts have possibly made it redundant, but I've finished it and its on my website and may be useful to some.Find it here http://members.multimania.co.uk/keithb77/ in the Flight pageCheersKeith
