Sorry, this is probably pretty obvious to everyone else. I am buying Flight and addons for my grandson as he enjoys mine so much. Will he be able to use Flight both at my house and his own simply by logging in using his own account. Many thanks in advance for any answers.

Hi all,this is my first post on the forum but I've been following the discussion on Flight for a while.I just wanted to give my two cents here:When I first fired up Flight I was sadly disappointed with what I saw, being used to my accumulated FSX add-ons and coming all the way from FS4. But when I gave it a go again a couple of days later I found myself shutting of my computer at 2 o'clock in the morning after hours of flying.I found it enjoyable to say the least. On the one hand, the sheer lack of DLC to choose from like we are used to from payware to freeware on various flight sim related websides puts me off to buy whatever comes available only for the sake of supporti…

When I use flight it defaults to being online. Is there any way to play offline?When I play online it freezes up for a few minutes and then speeds everything up to catch up. (often causing a crash).The other day my internet was out, and I was able to play OFFlINE and it didn't freeze up.I've tried about everthing I can think of, and haven't figured out how to log off and still play.

As a newbie to AVSIM, FLIGHT, and the forums, I'd like to thank everyone for their replies and help. I have used FS since the beginning, and compared to FSX, of course, FLIGHT is much different. As I've said, some things I like a lot, some things not so much. Anyway, my question this time is this:Where do you find the frequencies of the VOR's? I would like to fly in free flight using them. When you click on the airport, it shows the "Job Board" tab, and the comm frequencies (like you'll hear anything on those). I can't find NAVAID ones though. Do you need to like have sectionals, or something? Thanks.

I am saving for the Alaska Pack downloadable content (DLC) and hoping I get a rescue helicopter in the package or a great one like the Agusta Westland that I can purchase seperately both for a fair price. And I am going to sell the 2 Logitech Attack 3 joysticks I have and get the Logitech Pro 3D with the twist for rudder and helicopters. Already bought the Hawaiin Pack!Also if/when we get a pack that includes Colorado, Utah, etc....we can rescue skiers! Or the Swiss Alps :)What's your (imaginary) piggy bank for?

So I want to give Flight a try. I downloaded and installed it to a drive other than C:. Everything seemed to go fine with the install. But how do you start this sucker?If I select MS Flight in Program Files, nothing happens. There's also a link for Games for Windows Marketplace that asks for my GamerTag??, when I click it. There's also a Windows Live ID shortcut that also asked for some sort of ID the first time I clicked it and I had no idea what it was referring to. I was wondering if someone could help with this. In Free Flight, I have no problem bringing up the map. But in missions, say, a freight one, my "co-pilot" will say something like "we're low on fuel, better bring up the map and find a place to get fuel." Well, the map doesn't come up in missions. Am I doing something wrong? Or, is this a "feature."

This is a repost..... After d/ling the game and the two addons.....No 51....was happily flying around for a few days when I started having a problem.... I would drop out to a black screen and require a reboot to get back flying and then the same condition would raise its ugly head again.....So what the heck we'll just delete it and re d/l the game and everything should be great.....Yeah great! have d/l'd the game 5 times and after installing each time got an error message saying ' Flight will not start as I ve d/l'd a corrupt file and will now close.... So am stuck ( and of course out 40some bucks for the islands and the Maule) and can't get the game working again…

I wonder if more of you use the cheat I just used during an aerocache hunt... Earlier on there was an aerocache near a fall and it was hard to get close to, so I landed the Icon on the water and walked all the way up to the cache. But today, when I had a similar located cache, I simply flew full speed towards it in the RV6 and as soon as I had the cache and at the meantime was heading for a wall without an possibility to escape... I pressed M and repositioned myself on the map... :wink:Yesssssss, that's really cheating, isn't it? But it saves a lot of time. Finding the bloody thing took time enough already.

All I get is a message saying "The profile cannot be signed into Live. There may be a network problem or Windows Live ID service may not be available." Everything was fine yesterday.

Hi guys/gals I noticed while looking at the job board that there was a photo of a red and white Maule M7. I WANT ONE:-)Is it unlockable? Does anyone know where to look for an unlock guide? For instance I see the achievment guide but I'm a "private pilot" in flight now and wanted to know if there were any levels above that and when they are unlocked. My favorite plane so far, after a few days flying is the Maule. Least is the Icon. Don't Icons have mixture controls, and flaps? Never seen a real one, don't know, but the one in Flight, I don't like. Only thing I do like is, it's ampbibian, so yeah you can land on the water. Would rather have a Goose, for that.The Maule is worth the price to be able to do all the freight missions etc. But I am having problems making a smooth landing--I seem to do OK UNTIL over the threshold, then, drop too quick, and the medical evac patient/dogs/ducks whatever, don't care for it. Well, my guess is that whole world is not MS's intention.I speculate that the plan is to create a whole lot of entertaining flying experiences similar to the Hawaii Adventure Pack.I think that the generally happy acceptance of what they have created so far will encourage them to do more of same.Will jetliners and inter-continental flying be introduced?Personally, I do not think that that is the intention but, who knows, if this GA sim proves to be really popular and DLC is lucrative then maybe it will be developed into an all-round sim.Long way to go though.

I am curious on some things regarding the signing out of Live, or inability really to do so.Ok, first - according to the manual, one should be able to play without signing in to Live by simply skipping the sign in process. This is currently not possible - sure you can press home on the keyboard, and in the Live menu, choose to sign out. But when you do, you are then prompted that the current user has signed out, and Flight needs to be restarted. Once restarted, if you try and choose play, it brings the Live sign in screen up again, and you have to sign in. As far as I know, the only workaround for this is for one to disable their internet connection completely - that is…
