So I was on for about an hour or so today, and I have used almost a gig in my usage for my broadband. Does anyone have any idea what it is? I think it might be that I am still set to public on the multiplayer profile.Any ideas?

A fellow user started a thread titled "Hawaii airports list" with a file he was kind enough to assemble for us which outlined a summary of all the airports in Hawaii. I wanted to build upon his idea and work and provide a more detailed and realistic resource for those interested but couldn't figure out how, in a satisfactory enough manner, to do so in his thread. As a result, here's this thread with the file...Hope it helps.

Hi, I'm writing from Brazil. Sorry my bad english.I would like to know if Microsoft Flight allows to more than one virtual cockpit, like Flight Simulator.I didn't find any of this in the setup. My PC has two video cards, with two VGAs and one HDMI. I would like to view the cockpits like in the old FS, with three cockpits, each one in its monitor. Thanks, SerfalasCampinas/ SP/ Brazil

  4. Hi guys, I'm a new comer to the whole sim flying genre, just picked up FSX a couple of months ago and have been having a blast with it. Now I am trying to do the flying jobs in Flight and each time I choose to do the biplane tour my passenger has to use the bathroom and I loose points because I can't land in time...Have any of you guys found a way around this? Last night I did one and I had an airport in sight to land at but the passenger didn't have to go until I was far from it lol, I think next time I will just circle an airport until they have to pee :)

I'm new to flight and have been using a MS XBox 360 Gamepad for MS Flight. On on level 9 and love the game. A family member just gave me a Logitech extreme 3d Pro joystick. Is this better than the gamepad for MS Flight?Ist it recognized by the game? Will it make me a better pilot than the gamepad?I'm real familiar with the gamepad from all my car racing games and just now using it with Flight but if the Joystick is better for Flight I'll try it.What do you people recommend? Thanks,

Funny thing. In FSX I only did free flights. I never touched a mission or whatever. Free flight was IT for me!In MS Flight I did a few minutes of free flight when I had just installed the game. After that I checked out some missions and challenges and jobs... I think I did one or two free flight since the release, once to check out if I could still navigate using VOR (I could) and once to fly over the high buildings on the northern island (for 2 minutes or so). And that's about it. When I start up MS Flight, the first thing is look at a mission or challenge... it's so much fun! And Free flight is... well... a bit boring maybe...? :wink:I have to add btw that I haven't spe…

  8. ... you might want to!There are several post here that explain how to do what I am going to suggest, so I won't explain it here. For those like me that have found the controls too sensitive and reduced from 1.00000 to 0.50000... do you still find things a bit "twitchy"? If so, then try removing the "null" line of code as well. I just tried that and I am VERY happy with the result.Your experience may vary... for instance... if your pots are starting to wear out and your controls are spiking!Disclaimer: I am not taking credit for this. Smarter people than I figured this out. You know who you are... cause you're smart! LOL

  9. There is one thing I would like to point out, the background used in Flight's menu depicts an awesome view of some of the scenery that looks in-game but if you pay close attention you'll see that the lighting looks nothing like in the game. The clouds reflect the sun's light producing the famous silver lining, the ground is splattered with cloud shadows, the sky textures look freaking awesome and the overall ground appears to be reflecting off the sun's light. (Could this be something to expect later down the road or is microsoft just teasing us?) I dunno maybe I'm just seeing things or going crazy :lol:I would think if it would be really cool if they released upgrades t…

  10. I am trying to fly a Maule 7 in Microsoft flight. I would post this in that section but I don't think it pertains to that software. I am wondering how to fly the aircraft. I don't understand the use of the mixture and propellor. I am wondering when I need to increase or decrease one or the other for climb etc. I was flying one of the missions in flight and I was gradually increasing altitude, probably around 400 ft VS and when I had my mixure, prop and rpm at 100% the entire time yet my speed kept decreasing. This was around 7000ft. I am wondering how I can fly the plain without stalling it because that is exactly what happened at 8000 ft. I understand that the air gets t…

so I was wondering how you adjust the mixture precisely on the RV-6? There's no EGT or fuel flow gauge (to my knowledge), and the mixture doesn't seem to affect the RPM much. so my only guess seems to be by sound. But what if your playing on low volume.....seems like there should be a gauge to judge the mixture by?

As you can see from my specs below my PC is no slouch. I'm enjoying flight, feeling slightly dirty, eyeing the NGX out of the corner of my eye, and wondering why my Flight graphics performance isn't quite what I thought it would be..I'm not sure how many FPS I'm getting as I'm not using Fraps - because people say it's unreliable and actually adds to the problem, but I will say I get as good FPS in FSX with pretty much all set to high (when above heavy autogen it slows obv) Around 40-60 in FSX and perhaps juddering at 35-45 in FlightFlight seems ever so slightly jerky or juddery and I've turned shadows and AA to medium..Everything else at max, but then surely that was the …

  13. Is anyone using the Ch Yoke and Pro pedals with flight? I just hooked mine up today and they work somewhat.. Just have to go through the aircraft controls series a make the settings. The biggest problem I'm having is that I can't get the toe brakes to work on the pedals. Has anyone figured this out? Help would be appreciated. I remember having to edit the XML file in FSX and I suspect the same is the case in Flight. I just don't know if it is the same lines to add or something else.Thanks.

  14. Hi Guys, Does anyone know if you can get in touch with MS via an email link regarding issues with Windows Live,So they can reply back to you via email. All that is on the MS Flight website is a support link that only has FAQ'swhich does not cover my issue with live. Have downloaded Flight & played it no problem, and have signed up towindows live, which I can log into with no problem on the Flight website, but it brings up a message when trying toget into live through the front end of the game. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.John. (Bloxboy).

First off, sorry for the long post! It's been a while for me, so I'm making up for lost time!Well, its been a number of years, but I'm back in the virtual cockpit. FLIGHT has re-energized my interest in simming, and I wanted to share my experience. I was an active Avsim member years ago, but no longer remember my login or email I used at the time.A little FS background on me: I saw my first flight sim (FS 1.0 maybe) on a Apple II in the mid 80's complete with barely discernable blips on an amber monochromatic screen. I was all of about 9 or 10, and completely fascinated. As soon as I had my own home computer, the first thing I wanted was a flight sim. I had an Amiga 5…

I selected the RV check ride challenge which looked like a routine fly around and land exercise. It started out that way. I really got a kick out of my instructor. Crusty old guy with lots of folksy sayings. After we took off he told me to do anything I wanted to so I was flying just above the treetops. He was quiet for a while and then said "You really like to fly low don't you. I won't spell out what happens near the end because If you haven't done this one yet it would spoil it. Lets just say that things got hairy and scary for a bit. When I finished I had a grin on my face and a great score. Don't know how that happened. Flight continues to amaze and delight me with…

Hi everyone, first time posting here. I'm not new to flight sims (always had some version of Microsoft's Flight Simulator lying around) but I never got too serious with them so I'm definitely a noob compared to most people here. With that said, I'm loving Flight so far and I find that I'm having quite a bit more fun than with FSX.At the moment, I'm flying using a crappy joystick but plan on getting a yoke and pedals when the budget allows. I find that one of my favorite things to do in Flight is crosswind landings but I'm having a bit of difficulty in the RV-6 after I touch down.I tried this scenario a couple of times last night, always with the same outcome. I have a cro…

Anyone else having trouble manipulating the starter? Sometimes I will try and try again and again to click and turn over the starter and the thing won't move.. The only way I can get it to manipulating is swtich camera view and cycle out and back into the cockpit and wait a second.. Then the key is manipulated fine.. It randomly goes in and out of being able to be manually manipulated. Getting on my nerves as I dislike using the B button to fake proper engine start up procedures.Edit: Figured it outIt's the stupid text chat window.. (that also doubles as "what camera you're in" window). You can't turn the key until that dumb box disappears.

I used the 12.2 beta drivers during Flight and there are some problems. Other users who also had 12.2 drivers had similar problems (White freeway). ATI just released the 12.2 certified drivers, and there are no changes from the beta 12.2 drivers. I would say stay away from 12.2 for now. There are no fixes for Flight and no Crossfire profiles. So you will not gain any benifits from them. Just a fair warning. I will wait till 12.3 and hope AMD gets on the ball with supporting Flight!

  21. Well just finished writing this letter that took about three to four hours to Microsoft Flight on my opinion on the hopes of Flight and what can be added to expand this game to both veterans and newcommers alike --MICROSOFT FLIGHT SUGGESTIONS AND IMPROVEMENT-- Dear Microsoft Studios, I really enjoy your game and the new approach you are taking, unfortunately, some people aren't well to adapt to change. I look forward to seeing the entire planet being rendered with the new Flight engine and after looking at the Partners section of the web site "Whether providing the nuts-and-bolts details with which we design and build our aircraft or the data we use to re-create the …

I've tried everythiing I can think of to change the radio frequencies in the planes with radios.l can swap frequencies, but not change them. (I get a hand but it doesn't do anything).I read somewhere that you can do it from the Map Legend, but I can't find any legend when I go to the Map with "M".Any help on using the radios would be appreciated.
