I have a HP Pavilion p6345a Desktop. Intel Core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20 GHz, 4.00 GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD5450. A pretty average machine but less than two years old. I would have thought this would count as current hardware.I can only play flight on low graphic settings and even then the autogen is shimmering badly and movement tends to be a bit jerky, It gets much worse if I try to move up to medium settings.By experimenting I have found that I can eliminate most of the shimmering by changing the sharpness setting to high but then it turns into a slide show.I purchased the Hawaii package today and have been flying the Vans. Using the low settings I get from 25-30 FPS with the Va…

I'm trying the RV 6 intro mission and get as far as the ravine and flying through it, but seem to lose power control whilst in it.Advancing the throttle registers on the manifold pressure gauge but the engine itself doesn't seem to respond and I end up in the trees. Is/has anyone else had this problem?

Flight is looking very good, but I'm not ready to invest my time in just yet -- although I may not have to wait much longer. If these get resolved, Flight's going to be of huge interest to me:1) Implementing Track-IR support2) Delivering a Cessna 172That's about it. Anybody else waiting for a crucial download/feature before really getting into Flight?PS - Is it possible to toggle Flight's heading bar at the top off? It it isn't yet, that would be my #3.

Much as I'm REALLY beginning to enjoy Flight for VFR flying, the one thing I really miss is having my networked machine show me a constant moving map & airport layouts etcDo we think this kind of thing is likely for Flight?Cheers

I'd like it if, when a host quits a MP session if the host position would allocate to someone else who is in the room rather than scattering everyone into nowhere. . .10 players doing a coordinated activity and 11th host quits and everyone disappears.-1

Hey guy's, thought this would be an interesting poll to see people's impression's so far, and to see a cross section of who is using MS Flight now.I must say at first I was skeptical about flying in Hawaii, but I went ahead and bought the Hawaii pack with the RV-6, and I've been having a blast! The RV-6 is really alot better then the default planes, I've already made a few flight plans and have been having alot of fun doing short hops around Hawaii using VOR navigation.

I accidentally put Flight on the same drive as I have FSX when I downloaded it the first day. I've since bought the expansion pak and the Maule. As I am writing this, I'm re-downloading FLIGHT and saving it to the drive I want it to reside on (My E drive - not my C drive). How do I migrate my purchases to this new drive after my download is complete. Thanks in advance for your help.Stan

No one has yet mentioned, "Where's 2D panel support?"Remember that argument where people just had to have 2D panel support (they were mad FSX didn't support 2D side views). With flight 2D is totally a thing of the past...I just thought about this ducking back into FS9 tonight. Flight is the first version to have totally done away with this old concept.

Flight is missing a lot of "stuff" that we all expect to see brought forward from FSX. One of those items is "real world weather" wherein FSX would download weather data from a 3rd party weather reporting station/system and implement that weather in your flight. I've seen RWW references appear regularly in this forum as being an important missing component. So, being as I am, I pondered the thought and came to realize, for me, it isn't that big of a deal. In FSX, I often used the RWW feature. In practice, I found the RWW to be only kinda similar to actual weather conditions that I see out my window. Rarely did what was outside closely resemble that I found in my virt…

Hi all.I am trying to obtain the Product Key for Flight, but I have a problem. When I insert my data (adress and password) in the form, I obtain a strange message indicating an Error 80154002.I tried at first with the data I normally use for Live Messenger. Then I also tried to make a new Live account, but also with the new data the same error appears. So at present I am not able to obtain the necessary Key.Do you have any idea about this issue? Did anyone have the same error message?Just for information, I have a quite new PC with Windows 7 64 bit, concerning MS network services I currently use also Live Messenger without problems.Thanks.A.

I read some posts here and there stating the estimated times of missions aren't correct at ALL. Missions always take a LOT longer then the estimated time. I was also suprised how long a 15 minute mission could take... until I RTFM. Here's a snippet from the manual:Estimated TimeThe estimated time represents an average completion time for each mission. Estimates are based on use of the Skip to Waypoint feature. So beware: when a mission has an estimated time of 15 minutes, it might as well be 30. Or 60. Or longer. You'll never really know. It all depends on the distances between waypoints. At first I wondered why MS did this, but after giving it some thought I concluded they…

I'm not sure if this is allowed but here's the deal. I am recruiting people from this website to join my flight district in RoG. Here is what RoG is in a wholeWe are still in the planning stages of making this district possible and we need more people in order for it to be created. RoG is a friendly and a gaming enthuisast enviroment with a easy to use rank system. we specialize in XBOX 360 and soon to be PC gaming. You will never have to play alone again. If you are interested please post in this forum and I'll walk you through the steps of getting into RoG.or if you would like to take a sneak peek at it go herewww.revolutionofgaming.netThanks!

Ok guys so iv been running this game down on the ms flight facebook page to the point of being warned of getting banned by MS. So i downloaded it today to see if my claims was justifeid and they was. What ever happend to free flight??? You buy this game and MS tell you where and how to fly!!! I only did the first two missions, seriously this is not made for the fsx sim fan. I mean i felt like a child being told how how to fly. The game is not challanging in the slightest. And then i seen the prices for add-ons, are they serious. And for all you peolpe how say they frame rates are great, well there is nothing clickable in the cockpit, the cockpit is as basic as they come t…

It was brought to my attentions by someone apparently involved in the development of Flight that the points for "No Skip During Flight" (or penalty FOR skipping if you wish) is only for jobs that you get from the Job Boards. Story Missions do not penalize you for skipping. This is especially important to know for the few very long missions that can last over 4 hours if you don't skip ahead in an attempt to get the "No Skip" XP. Other than flying them for the scenery and opportunity to find an Aerocache or two along the way, feel free to skip ahead without worrying about missing out on XP.Jobs obtained from the Job Boards, with the exception of Clandestine Cargo, will awa…

On Flight's website, the article about the Alaska DLC says "with over 1.2 million square miles of captivating scenery..."BUT, Alaska only has a total area of 663,268 square miles...Could give an explanation for this? And by the way, 1.2 million square miles is over 120 times the area of Hawaii!

So, no slew mode to cheat - I thought making it to 20,000' was pretty cool - the scenery is lush and the air is thin. . .

(The small print… I apologise if my words cause any offence to anyone, these are my thoughts and mine alone!)What makes a Hard-core Simmer? Is it being an Oldee? Hey I started back in the 80’s. Is it flying on VATSIM with ATC and with a great Payware jet? I do that too/still. Is it wanting to be a pilot but not being able too for whatever reason? Is it years of struggling with hardware and tweaking FSX to improve the frame rate? Is it buying the latest hardware and finding out that the graphics and frame rate have not improved dramatically? Is it hours spent tweaking the PC? Is it downloading 'stuff' from sites like this and carefully placing everything in the right direc…

Greetings everyone!I have been following the threads for some time and I finally decided to start pitching in. I've done a lot of simming on both the stick and rudder and push button sides of the spectrum. I've done the whole VA deal along with hours of simulated corporate and helicopter operations. All in all, I've spent more than my fair share of time behind monitors slowly, but surely, degrading my eyesight  . Not once, however, did I consider what I was engaged in a game and this outlook played out in my favor.I used my many hours of simulated 'training' to my benefit when I got my PPL ticket a few years back. And, truth be told, the exposure to the symphony of s…
