Anyone in this group know of a good 30hz monitor at 1080p? My current monitor is 60hz but only goes down to 50hz which is all fine and dandy but anytime my FPS dip below these numbers I get stutters. I keep my sims frames in sync with my monitor refresh rate so the solution to my problem is getting a 30hz monitor because no matter what situation I’m in I can always make 30fps in my sim. So any 30hz monitors that you know of please drop them below! Thanks

I currently have a 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 GPU installed in my PC. However, God decided this weekend that it was time for an upgrade, and so I am now in the possession of a very nice 6GB GeForce GTX 980Ti That being the case, I would like to know the correct procedure to replace my old card with the new one. I suspect that I need to do the following.... Download the latest set of Nvidia graphics drivers Uninstall my current graphics drivers Shutdown the PC Remove the old GTX 770 card Fit the new GTX 980Ti card Reboot the PC (in safe mode?) so that the OS detects the new card Install the new graphics drivers Is that corre…

Guys, Im reading a lot of information about FS2020 and I really am cautious about the specs that are needed for the new sim. I still dont know what to do. When Im going for a new system I also am going to add a new monitor. Last Friday there was a very good deal (a site with deals that last 24 hours) and I almost bought a monitor. I now want to buy a larger monitor anyhow. If FS2020 is going to require a NASA-system I will wait. The questions that now lives with me is the following one: is a monitor with specs like these compatible with FS9? It is a - 100 Hz refresh rate - 34", 3440 x 1440 HDR scherm I hope you guys can help m…

I have an AMD Radeon HD6670 1GB DDR5 that's on its last legs. The fan whines and it seems to slow down the whole system at times. I have 2 monitors, both with DRI and VGA inputs only (no USB, etc.) I enjoy Flight Simulator and am excited about getting the 2020 version. I have seen Microsoft's system requirements which to me is not all that useful because there are only 6 graphics cards listed (minimum, recommended and ideal.) I know there are dozens of graphics cards on the market now. Can anyone please give me a list of maybe 10 cards I should look into? I want a nice one but I don't want to break the bank buying one. This way I could shop for the best deals on t…

My current Acer Predator 4K 3840X2160 60 hz monitor has served me well, but I'm afraid after almost 3 years it's slowly giving up the ghost. I want to replace it and I keep reading and seeing videos about the new 2560X1440 fast IPS 165 gz monitors. They seem impressive, but would I feel demoted going to a lesser resolution? I have a feeling not, but I can't really tell. It's not like you can walk into a store these days and look at them side by side. Anyway, I run P3D V5 at 2048X2048 and it looks great to me. Any thoughts? Lee

I am researching which PC to buy, but would like some advice on graphics cards. Is the 2080ti worth the extra expense over a 2080 super for P3d v5? Obviously the Ti will give more FPS, but enough of an increase to warrant so much money? Would two 2080 super cards in SLI configuration be a better option than a single 2080ti? Also will replace my 1980x1080 monitor. Is it better to go 2K or 4K for P3d? I’ve been running the sim on a gaming laptop with a 2.8Ghz processor And 1080 Max Q graphics card. It is playable but settings need to be low to medium.

Hello Guys, Im actually runing P3Dv4.5 on a GTX1060 6GB, and Im willing to do the migration up to P3Dv5. I know that is highly recomended to run it on an 8 GB Video card at least, so after doing a deep search I came up with this graphic card which adapts to my budget. I saw this Zotac RTX 2060 Super Mini 8 GB Card, but since Im, honestly, no expert on this topic I wanted to ask for your advice. Would it be a good card to run P3Dv5 with? I intend to use heavy addons with it. And honestly not that much of GA Flying. Thank you so much in advance! Best Regards! Rafa

Hey guys, I've currently have three (3) Dell S2716 27" 2560x1440 monitors being run with a NVidia GTX 1080 Ti founders. It's a pretty decent setup but I do run into situations where the FPS drops into the 10 to 20 range on P3D. I was wondering if I'd be better off ditching the three Dell S2716 and going with a single 49" (LC49RG90SSNXZA) that would give close to the same immersion, albeit a little less real-estate, but maybe be easier on the 1080 ti only having to drive a single monitor? Thoughts?

I decided to buy a new 2080ti and looked everywhere such as Amazon, ebay etc. All what I see are mostly used ones which I am not interested in or older new models. Could anyone recommend a place where I can buy a new 2080ti? I appreciate your help. Bernd

Hi there. Since about 6 months I have a 32 inch 4K monitor. I can select the refresh rate 30 HZ on the monitor. In P3D I checked VSYNC and frames unlimited. It runs fine. I use a 11 GB 1080Ti GPU. In P3Dv5 I can see most of the time 4 to 5 GB VRAM is used. I don't fly very complex AC. All ORBX regions and airports. Now I'd like to add a second 32 inch 4K monitor; same brand and type ofcourse. My question: What does that mean for the load on the GPU? Second monitor doubles the number of pixels. Will the needed VRAM also be doubled? What will this in general mean for FPS? Thanks. Rein

Hi all, I now have a GTX1080Ti and i9-9900K with a 1080p monitor. I would like to replace the monitor with a DELL 4K monitor for better text-reading and web-browsing etc. However, it is almost impossible to run P3D at 4K with decent FPS with bunches of add-ons like PMDG, ASP4, and REX SF3D. Therefore I am curious about how P3D looks and performs when the resolution is set 1080P on a 4K monitor. Thanks, Anson

Hello I have a GE Force 1080 Ti connected to three identical 2k Viewsonic monitors. I have been able to set a customized resolution of 2560 x 1440 25Hz on two of the diplays. In the third one I cannot create the customized resolution it goes first into testing but then the resolution is not saved, so it cannot be changed and it reverts to 2560 x 1440 60 Hz. Aparently there is a known issue with Nvidea and three monitor setups. If anybody has any ideas, I appreciate comments. I have spent hours trying to make it work with no success. Thanks Juan

I have a 6Gb GTX 1060 and in P3D5 it's showing as 5Gb. Dxdiag shows 6. Any ideas why? If it were 6 in v5 I would have a bit more headroom.
