Guys I have a 4K Samsung 7 Series TV that I use primarily for gaming and desktop use on my Windows 10 PC. I have an NVIDIA GTX 1080 connected to it. I'm not sure what settings I should use? There's RGB vs 420,422,444 and then Limited vs Full? and it says 8bit in my NVIDIA DISPLAY settings, 10bit use to show when I had it connected to my Sony XBR 850D TV which is now not working anymore. I have a few games that have HDR such as Forza Horizon 4, Red Dead Redemption 2, Planet Zoo, and a few others. And also occasionally watch some 4k HDR content on Youtube as well.

I am thinking of getting 3 75" 4K TVs for my 747 simulator build. Using Immersive Pro LCD I think I've got it right. The side TVs are at a 65 degree angle due to the room width being 4m. https://imgur.com/GbxDAz2

Greetings. Not sure if this is the right forum but anyway. I am wondering if anybody uses ViewGroup with PMDG aircraft. I am playing with ViewGroup settings and I am struggling to find the right settings for PMDG aircraft (I use Ezdok as well). With the help of immersive LCD I created settings and everything looks good on default P3D aircraft. However it looked different on PMDG aircraft. Everything looks kind of normal except sides monitors. the filed (or runway line) or horizon line on side monitors have different angle. If I can use a mouse middle button or Ezdok adjuster I can correct the horizon line to make it even on all 3 monitors, but doing that I am…

I have been planning to wait until 3080Ti arrives after putting together my new build last month but alas since picking up the GPU-eating NGXu I'm reconsidering a bridge solution that perhaps I can sell when 3080Ti finally shows up which it appears will be sometime between late August and forever! Right now I need to stop the sim regularly to readjust the major GPU related lighting sliders and even World scenery sliders. I hardly need to do this w/ PMDG 777 but this guy is really demanding. I'm at the gate in lowly KRNO at pre-dawn. GPU load sitting at 88%. OK, fine. Then I turn up the background lighting dial one click and GPU goes up to 84%, then the other MCP lig…

....offer monitor vertical refresh of 30Hz? My current GTX Titan and all recent Geforce drivers allow my Dell 3440x1440 screen to do 30Hz. I'm contemplating upgrading now to RTX 2080 Super but if it can't support the 30Hz refresh I will need to return it for a refund. Thanks Also, I'm only running 3440x1440. How much video ram do I need to support this particular screen resolution?

I was posting earlier today in a thread on water vs air cooling and I took a quick look see at my own system to make a point about air cooling and over clocking the cpu. I made this video to illustrate a point and as an aside I noticed that my 1080ti was the bottle neck in my 8086K at 5.3ghz on all 6 cores system. If anyone with a similar system i.e. an 8700k or 8086K firing at 5.2 or 5.3ghz with a 1080ti upgraded to a 2080ti could comment, I'd love to hear from you.

Hey Guys. No complaints with my system, but had a question for the experts. I have a 1080ti that runs main P3D monitor as well as a 2nd monitor for things like active sky and various related programs. Also have a 3rd monitor out of the GPU that actually is a skalarki MCDU for when I fly airbus. Then I have a 4th monitor that is plugged into the integrated graphics off my MB. Just like the 2nd monitor it's just for other programs. Not the sim. I do have a 4th port in the GPU. Is it advantageous to plug that monitor into the GPU instead and deactivate the integrated graphics in the BIOS? I am just curious if there is a con to running the system the way I do current…

I have a nice little home built sim with multiple screens. My Problem is that when I use Shift 1 to display the Main panel and then drag it off to another physical screen the main display is left filling only the top half of the screen and I have to drag it down to the bottom to fill the screen with the image. Does anybody have any way to stop this happening. Thanks heaps Owen Moore

Hi guys, I'm tring to improve my Situation awareness by adding a more fixed flight instrument under my main monitor. Since I use TrackIR, there are time I look around and loose scan on insturments and no peripheral vision could help as in reallife. Also, if I use correct FOV, as my setup, it would be 1.42 zoom in VC, thus I could only see the wind screen, even now I use 0.9~1.0 zoom, it's still cant get a good view on insturment, it actually very close to what it feels in real cockpit and Full Simulator, but again, to move view with TrackIR on a monitor is much different than just move eyes to scan between outside and panel. So, my concept is like this: add…

Hi guys, My friend is selling his Aorus GTX1080Ti Extreme edition and asked if i was interested. Now after reading that a 1080Ti is the grail for P3D,i wondered if this "upgrade" would be beneficial for me. I currently have an i7-9700K,16Gb ram and the MSI Gaming X 1070.I'm getting 20-25fps with most scenarios in P3D running at 1920*1080. Will i see a substantial improvement with that 1080Ti?I'm planning on going to a 2K monitor in the future. Also, what is a reasonable price for this card nowadays? He's asking 600€ but that seems a bit high to me. Brgds, Steven

I recently updated my P3D rig to i9900k processor with 32GB memory. I kept the old video card 1080GTX, but am now thinking of updating my venerable 24 Samsung LCD as its 8 years old. I wanted to move up in size - 28 inch or maybe 32cm. Besides P3D I’d also like to stream movies on Amazon Fire. The big question here becomes if to go 4K or 1080p, and if 4K then if its worth updating my 1080GTX for maybe a 2nd hand 1080Ti or similar card? My budget for monitor is up to £400. thanks

Hello Everyone, I need some help on choosing the best monitor in market for P3D V4. Between a 4k and an ultrawide (21:9) with 1440p resolution, which would bring the best immersion and performance? I´m thinking of buying a 34" display with a refresh rate greater than 100Hz and G-sync technology (I have a GTX 1070). Is there any other spec that I should include in my search? Perhaps response time? From my research I´ve learned that performance with a 4k resolution isn´t affected drastically since P3D´s engine is mostly CPU bound. Is this true? Will I see a lot of difference between 4k and 1440p? Does a 21:9 aspect ratio has big benefits over a 16:9 with regards t…

Hello All. I am new to this forum so will describe my set up before my question. I run at 5.1 Ghs on a water cooled system , the over clocking was the standard ASUS onboard Apps. The FSX CFG file is fsx standard, the PSU is 1250 or 1500 cant remember but it’s a Tagan Unite. 3 x AMD HD 6970 graphics cards quite old now, Each card drives 3 monitors in AMD Eyefinity. Making up 3 big screens all from the above PC, then another 3 monitors on network PCs for maps etc. it’s a real sham you can not run multiple of FSX in synchronisation to spread the load. The display from bottom upwards are all Virtual Cockpit Views of the Default King Air , 4 VC in …

Just about to but a new computer to replace my 10 year old one! Spec will be i7 9700 16gb ram, 256sdd, 2t hdd and a RTX 2070 super graphics card. I will be running Prepar3d V4 on a single monitor, adding a 2nd older one later. For the main monitor I am considering one of the two linked below, thoughts on which would be best are appreciated. https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing ... 0-pdt.html https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing ... 8-pdt.html
