There's a relatively new register in Win10's Default graphics settings named Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. By default it is Off. I'm curious if anybody has had any experience with it? Thanks.

I see there are a lot of 1080 TI's out there by different mfg's (Nvidia, Asus, EVGA, etc.). What are the differences? Is it brand preference or do some cards perform better, have better support, etc?

I have been using a HD projector for the past ten years instead of a TV or monitor screen. The advantage is that the image rendered is life size, I am really feeling like being in a cockpit especially with Track IR. The technology having moved on to the 4K resolution, I am contemplating to upgrade, but finding a 4K native projector to render the 3D cockpit seems to be a challenge as most projectors use a lens technology to upgrade their native HD resolution to 4K which is not acceptable since the 3D cockpit image is downgraded to HD back to where I am. Out of curiosity is anyone using a 4K projector and if so, would you care sharing your experience and choice? …

  5. I want to know if current Z490 motherboards will work with the upcoming 3080ti cards when they're released? Since the Z490 motherboards only have PCIe 3.0 slots. Will it be able to take advantage of all the new technology in the 3080ti cards?

  6. Hi all. I have been investigating the low FPS I have, and when using MSI Afterburner FPS monitoring I get maybe 50 FPS in the screen overlay, but P3D FPS only reads maybe 18. Anyone know why there is such a difference? Best Regards Bjarne

I'm very uneducated on graphics cards, so I'd appreciate your advice, please. I currently have a GTX 970 (4MB) card, and I run P3D on a Dell 1920x1200 monitor. I limit frames at 29 within the nVidia Control Panel, and I usually manage 25-29 in most cases. I'm considering buying a GTX 1660Ti (6MB) that is a more current card, but I'll continue to use my same monitor and would expect to still have frames limited at 29. Does this make sense, or do you think I'm wasting my money? Maybe there's other benefits I haven't considered.

My new setup nividia 2080 I plan going with 1440 resolution 16x9. 32" Is response rate a need for fsx ? I plan on going with #4 Also, should I stay with a flat screen ? Here all this good stuff about curved monitors Finally, leaning towards Samsung, any suggestions welcomed, or any other competitors

  10. I have been using a 55" 4k TV as my computer display but plan on getting a 49" ultrawide, plus is looks much better on my desk. What do you guys think about using an ultrawide vs a 4k TV for flight simming? I use P3D, X-Plane 11 and soon to be MSFS 2020.

Hi. Actually I have 3 32'' tv for main view. I would like in a future, making a new pc, to have 5 screens un main view. I would like buy in a future 1080ti 11gb but only it has 4 outputs. If I add a graphic card like Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 590 8GB GDDR5 UEFI that has 5 outputs, it is possible to use saphire for main view and 1080ti for undock instruments of cockpit like PFD, ND, etc...? Or it is wasting a great graphic card for that use? I saw too matrox c680 but is 700 euros . What do you recommend yo me? Regards.

I'm a bit of a unique use case with monitors as I am a photographer in addition to being interested in flight swimming. I decided that the BenQ SW271 meets my needs as far as resolution and color accuracy; however, I do not know how well it will work for Flight Simulator and X-Plane. I attached the monitor's specifications below and plan to use a 2080Ti to drive it. Will this work well without significant tearing and other motion-related issues when simming? Are there any options that would work significantly better given my use case? Size – 27″ Aspect Ratio – 16:9 Resolution – 3840 x 2160 Brightness – 350 cd/m² Contrast Ratio – 1000:1 Panel Type – In-Plane…

  13. Hi all. I have just finished setting up a 220 FOV visual with three projectors, using fly-elise blend/warp software using P3D viewgroups. Unfortunately I experience rather low framerates, and even though I know it is hard to get very good FPS with three views on a single PC setup, I would expect more performance on my setup. I think other people have better performance on systems that has lower specs than mine. So any suggestions to investigate if something is wrong, or upgrades etc would really be appreciated. System Specs: ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero Z370 ATX I7-8700K 3,7 GHz (running 4,3 GHz) 2 x EVGA RTX 2080ti XC Ultra, No SLI, but 2 projectors on o…

I currently have Three 27" monitors. I had a 40" 1080P tv in my closet (probably 6+ years old) and hooked it up as a single monitor. It was actually a little bit easier to fly and I enjoyed the height more than I thought I would. So, now I'm looking to upgrade. Any thoughts or suggestions? Maybe a 43" 4k monitor for MSFS2020? Thanks for the input!

  17. Good morning everyone. After seeing some encouraging news about the 442.19 drivers and the Frame Rate Limiter v3, I downloaded the latest ones (445.87) for my rig (specs in my signature), and also updated my Nvidia Inspector to the latest version (2.3.0.12). However, in my sim (FSX-SE, using DX10 and DX10 Fixer, windowed mode) I can´t see any effects from the Limiter at all, either if set in the Nvidia CP or in Inspector. In other games I have, I confirmed the limiter works as intended, either in fullscreen or windowed modes. As a workaround, I keep on using RTSS but, after reading all the posts here since the release of these drivers, I shouldn't need it and NCP/NI …

My old LG 30" monitor gave up the ghost today. It was connected with such an ancient DVI-D (or something like that) plug to my, also old (well, 6 years..), computer. Can anyone please educate me a little bit about 'modern' monitors ?... F.i. Do i go for such a 'curved' monitor or do i better stick with a normal flat screen ( i have read in some reviews about the Samsung C32HG70 curved monitor that it produces a truly wonderful picture but there is deffinately some 'warping' going because of the curved screen. I can imagine that and i have a feeling i won't like that very much. Anyone here using such a curved monitor for flightsimming ?.... Also, i seem to understand …

  20. I'd like to finally get a definitive answer about frame rate settings. My Asus monitor is a 23" with a resolution of 2560x1440x32. The Refresh rate is 59Hz (unadjustable). The EVGA card is a 1080ti ftw I've set my P3Dv5 Frame rate to 59 (had been set to 30), VSync ON, and Triple Buffering OFF. Texture Resolution is set to 2048x2048. Are these the proper settings for this monitor? If not, what should they be? Is there a right vs. wrong or is it trial and error? A once and for all answer would be great. Thanks.

Changed the card, the slot clicked and the PSU connected, i had a nice pink blue led show when starting up, but when checking device mngr i could only see the original GPU, not a new one with yellow sign...guys told me to use DDU without the card and then put it in, nothing, cannot install new driver as systems rsponds, no card detected for this driver... used MSI software to update BIOS to latest version; nothing - complet…
