Hi Guys... I've decided to upgrade in the near future - I'm waiting for the LG 38GL950G to hit the shelves here in the UK first... I'm not too sure re GPU's though - what with 'Super' cards/Workstations and whatnot. My system will be primarily for P3d/Flight Sims. I have never seen anything comparing such high power graphics cards with the current RTX consumer series cards. Would there be much of a difference (e.g. with P3D) between, say, a 2080 TI 11GB and a RTX 5000 card ? I read wonderful things re these workstation Quadra graphics cards with their multi-lane GPUs and their rendering prowess. Anybody running P3d on such a card ? Or is a 20…

I'm currently using a 55" 4K TV for gaming and simming. I am preparing for my next build for MSFS 2020 that's coming out next year and want to know what setup would be better for flight simming. My new computer build will be mainly for flight simming. I am going to move my old computer to another room and use it with the TV in that room for the rest of my gaming needs. The following choices for display for my new build for MSFS 2020 are: 55-65" 4K TV 49" Ultrawide 5k Curved screen (https://www.amazon.com/LG-49WL95C-W-49-Inch-Curved-Ultrawide/dp/B07PJQKLTW) 3x27" displays What would give me the best immersion and experience would you guys say?

Hi everyone, I just completed a major upgrade to my computer system. I'm running a GeForce TRX 2060 EVGA card on a ASUS monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. I also have a i9900K processor and Z390 MB with 32G RAM. Question... In P3D there is an option to run 4K textures. With my current monitor, which is also my desktop work monitor, can I really see 4K textures, and is it worth selecting 4K textures as an option. Am I better off selecting 2K textures. I have a 32" WS monitor. I need it for the other 66% of the work I do that's not FS related. Thanks for your help! Rich Boll

I use an LG 27UD68 4K monitor for P3d, and it works well when I use one of my HDMI connections on the back of the monitor ( I have 2), but when I try the Display Port connection (using the DP connecting wire that came with the monitor), this happens: Upon boot up, the Windows logo comes up, but then the monitor says - "No signal. Entering the Power Save mode shortly". It then does that and I have to shut down, and reboot using the HDMI port. Lately, too, upon startup, I'm getting a Gray screen with either vertical or horizontal bars. After about 5 minutes, the monitor is back to normal with my desktop showing. Something's happening, but what? The 2 thing…

Howdy, I am using a 6y/o GTX Titan original in a 3930K system o'clocked to 4.32Ghz hyperthreaded, in P3D v3.4. I think my CPU may finally be degrading a bit so the end may be sooner than later. I'm always struck by how little I can advance GPU-related sliders. Truth be told sometimes they don't all that much visually anyway. I'm only using a 1440x3440 screen at 30Hz vertical refresh. I'm not using advanced driver settings either. I can use terrain & cloud shadows out to 10K or even 60K in areas that aren't very complex (within FTX NCA/SCA) but often I find the GPU choking so have to deselect terrain and cloud shadows. I'm curious for those people who us…

Hi, I've been wondering about this for some time, and I wonder if these could cause conflicts. I have the Nvidia video graphics card Ge Force GTX-960. I've noticed that every time I download a new driver for my graphics card, it includes the Nvidia HD Audio driver. But I also have the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, which has been installed on this computer for years. I've noticed that the sounds have not been the same in FS and I'm wondering if it's because I have 2 audio drivers installed on this system, and they're causing conflicts. Do I need to uninstall the Nvidia audio driver? It's strange to me why a video graphics card would have an audio driver in the…

I'll be keeping these monitors for years (the BenQ PD3200Us).. probably 5 to 10. For example the HD 42" TV I use now for, 7 years... and the small 22" L226WTQ-SF monitor, which I've had for over 10 years.... I guess what I'm saying is these things need to last.. quality and capability wise.... "it won't do 4k well at the moment and your PC can't drive it" are almost mute points, because in 5 years I'll probably be on PC3.. and next year I plan on upgrading this machine.. probably to a 3080TI based system... What I'm really after is, views on the panel.. I guess the main question is what will I be doing with them? Flight simulation; mostly P3D and usually airliners.…

Just ordered a GTX 2070 Super. Next will be the monitor. Wondering if I should go UHD or QHD. Was looking at the Dell Alienware 1900R with G-sync. Just worried about performance at 4k. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Steve G.

Hello everyone and thanks in advance for any advice! I have a roughly 4 year old computer that was built by CyberPower PC (specs below) and I'm looking to improve my in-sim FPS with P3Dv4.5. I've been looking at new video cards in the $350-$500 price range with 8gb of memory as I also want to use VR for iRacing. I will be using a monitor via HDMI for my flight sim set up. I'll also put it out there that I'm a doof, when it comes to computer parts and how to get the most out of them. 😆 Currently in the NGX while on the ground at a smaller to medium sized airport in a not so dense area, I pull 12-15 FPS. If flying into FSDT KLAX, or heavy areas like Seattle, New Yo…

Seems like a lot of questions and answers about what resolution a 2080 card can drive, However, I have the RTX2070 by EVGA. Would it be overworking to drive a 32" 4K monitor, or should I go for a QHD like the LG32GK850G running at 2560x1440. Any thoughts appreciated as I am looking to get a new monitor hopefully at a good price for the Holidays. Best Regards!

Well, this should be interesting. (if true) https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-rumored-to-add-reshade-filters-to-geforce-experience-next-week/? Next week is shaping up to be a busy one for Nvidia, according to various leaks and rumors making the rounds. That's when Nvidia will supposedly launch a new GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card, though on the software side, a fresh rumor also points to the company integrating support for Reshade filters into GeForce Experience. Reshade is a popular modding tool used to dress up games with post processing effects. It has the potential to dramatically improve how a game looks, sometimes by adding visual features the deve…

Some time ago I setup my flight simulator using a Matrox TH2go digital version. The resolution for the three monitors are 3840x1024. In the display settings of FSX I have 3840x1024x32 checked and in the fsx.cfg file I have listed under my video card with that same resolution. In the matrox Power Desk (multi display setup) is listed 1280x1024 [3x1]. When I start my computer all three screens startup right or as they should however every time I start FSX the opening screen starts up on the center screen. I can "streach" the screen to fit but all is fuzzy on the outer two screens when flying. Can this be fixed? Any Ideas? hpwells1

I am running FSX Steam with 7700k with a 1070TI and need monitor upgrade advice. I Would like single monitor 34 inch or bigger as main display of pmdg 777 cockpit build to mount on wall behind the MIP (that is full size 1580mm long) without loosing FPS or high detail and smoothness. Currently running on asus 27 inch 2560x1440 and looks / runs great but now want to change to a bigger screen for a proper cockpit build. Have looked at LG 34 inch LG 34UC80-B but don't know if a 4k monitor would be better. What would be the biggest and best fit for the project without taking a performance hit with the current pc. Any suggestions and links to suitable monitors with …

Greetings. I am trying to figure out the cause if this behavior. There are times when I start my computer GPU EVGA logo light on the video card edge does not light up and GPU fans spinning super fast. Computer, Windows etc works perfectly fine. I don’t torture the GPU and I turn off the computer and start it again and then GPU starts normally. I can see EVGA logo light and GPU fans are spinning at a normal rate and very quiet. If I start computer like 20 times I may notice this behavior few times maybe. This is new build and the company which build this PC was trying to figure out what was problem but was unable to find anything. EVGA support suspected bad power supply…

With the demise of windows 7 about to happen I am now looking at moving to windows 10. At the same timeI thought I might upgrade my video card. However, I am not an expert at these things so i'm looking for a bit of advice. I only want to run FS9 but I have been looking at P3d. My specs are an Intel i5 4760K CPU at 3.40 GHz 8GB of RAM and a GTX760 Video card. I was toying with idea of a GTX 1070 but I really don't know enough about these things so any advice would be most welcome. I'm not to sure about W10 but I will just have tho bit the bullet and get on with it Rgds Steve H

My ASUS monitor just died. It was blinking every 5 seconds and wouldn't boot up. I thought it was my new JETLINE system, but IT WAS NOT! After a call to Jetline today, Greg (owner) spent an hour with me on the phone and he helped me ELIMINATE all the possible problems with my PC, and we concluded it was the monitor. I went to Best Buy and bought a Samsung 28" UE 590 today. Everything works perfectly...however, while I still have the ability to return it, I want to make sure this one is the right one. I'm fine with it and its resolution is incredible. It seems to have a little yellowish tint to the color, and I've tried tweaking it several times. I will be happy…

Hello All, Finally about to replace my GTX1070 with an ASUS 2080 Super or ASUS 2080Ti. Can anyone tell me if the extra 3 Gig of video RAM in the 2080Ti is of any use in P3D4. My preference is for the 2080 Super given that all suppliers seem to have put the price of the Ti up significantly overnight. (From 1900 Australian dollars up to around 2400). Not sure if the latest batch are different in some way but this is a big increase. This increase is also evident on Ebay. Does anyone know of the reason for this increase? (and no I am not talking about the 2080 Matrix which is pushing double the price). Regards, Steve.
