Hello, I am thinking about doing an upgrade on my pc to achieve better performance in p3d. I am currently running a GTX 780 and a i7-3820 and I am thinking about buying the Gigabyte GTX 1660ti Windforce OC and a Intel Core i7-9700k. To anyone who is more experienced than me: Will the combination (1660ti and 9700k) be sufficient to run p3d at a stable 30 fps with the addons stated below? FSLabs A320, Active Sky, GSX, Rex Sky Force, Chaseplane, ORBX Global Base Pack and a few addon airports like ORBX ESSA

I currently have a 24 inch Dell monitor andI am running P3D v4.1. I am thinking now of purchasing a new wide screen monitor which will replace my Dell monitor. The one I am looking at is the Samsung GH 90 monitor which is the 49 inch version,3480x10980 resolution with a 32.9 aspect ratio. The question that I am looking to find the answer for is whether or not I would be able to run P3D on such a large wide screen monitor at this resolution and aspect ratio. Hi, I am looking for a new graphics card for December (gonna save up my pocket money and sell my Xbox 1) I think my GPU is the bottleneck? I have i5 8600K @4.5ghz and GTX 1060 6GB. However, I get stutters when a few cores hit 100% usage. So could it be a CPU bottleneck? Anyway I know there are plenty of second-hand GTX 1080s for £300-£350, which is very good, but I'm nervous with second-hand hardware... I just got an LG IPS 4K 27UD68 monitor, and it has 2 HDMI ports and 1 Display port. Honestly, I do not know which I should use for P3d. I've tried both and I'm still confused which is the best for clarity, black levels, and all the other elements that should be shown for the best flight sim experience. What is your opinion on this? I've googled it and there are opinions both ways. Also, does it make a difference which HDMI port I should use...HDMI 1 or HDMI 2? Thanks in advance. Stan

Hello, Sorry if this has been asked before. I am contemplating upgrading my GPU from a GTX 960 to a GTX 1060 (possibly more) to improve the overall usability of P3D V4.4. At the moment, it works ok, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I was wondering whether a GTX 1060 will improve things significantly (or just a little) and whether it will work nicely with a i7-4790k CPU? Thanks for sharing your feedback.

I have a NIVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphic card and in the control panel there is a setting for DSR-Factors. Right now it is off, should I have it on? And if so what native resolution would be best? What are the benefits for having it on? (I have P3D V4.5 and I never used this setting before)

Please let me know if this should be in the CPU/ETC forum. What's the most appropriate GPU for a 6700k? Stock speeds. I've seen a lot of ranging equipment from other users on this site, so I'm not sure what's the appropriate course of action. I'm sure RTX is overkill, from a CPU and CASH perspective. I'm getting the vibe that I can run something more recent than what was available when the CPU was launched, but am more interested in saving $200 than getting another single FPS. 770GTX to 1080ti being the approximate range of suitable cards? I just added a 55 inch 4k TV screen to my setup. When I switch to the PC on the TV all I see is the PC background on the TV and not eg the moving P3 screen which I see on the PC monitor. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Thanks so much Bernd

Hi, i want to use my old Windows tablet as a second monitor for XP. I did find spacedesk and it seems to be the solution for what i want. Has anybody made this before? Is it possible to use the second monitor as GPS? I have no experience with a multi monitor environment and i´m thankful for any hints.

Hello all, So I have been contemplating a pc upgrade shortly and came across a gtx 1060 6gb card online, Before upgrading the pc figured I’d try the card in my current setup as purchased the found GTX 1060, I took my GTX 660 out and put the GTX 1060 in. I knew my current cpu would bottle neck the GPU however I thought I would see a little jump in performance, There hasn’t reallly been much a performance jump, Maybe a small one but nothing major. I am building a flight Simulator and will be installing four touch screen monitors in the control panel. I am in the process of designing my own gauges using Air Manager. I will not be using touch screen for the main display computer. I have three 32" curved Benq monitors for that. The touch screen monitors will be running on the client computer that has Air Manager installed on it. For your information I bought the Sim Samurai drawings for the Air Liner X simulator. I have been looking at different monitors and I noticed the phrase 2, 5, even 10 point touch. Is this a case of the more touch points the better? Tom Johnson

Just had, for the 2nd time an Nvidia issue with a previously perfectly running EVGA GTX970 GPU. Had not updated the driver for ages because, quite frankly, I do not trust Nvidia to bring out rock stable drivers. And that is precisely what has happened. Updated to the latest, and bang, midway through a flight, that driver brings the sim down with a warning notice DXGL_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG. Ha as anyone else experience this crash? Reverting to previous driver which was rock steady, not a single issue
