Wanting to replace my current 48" TV with something newer. Was looking at Samsung Odyssey 49" or the LG 48" Class C1 OLED TV. Any recommendations for either. I will watch TV on this as well but mainly for MSFS. System Specs Intel Core I7- 10700K 32 GB of Ram 3080TI Graphics Card

Hello, I seek through all testing sites and forums and a new monitor seems to be a difficult thing. I have a 12700K, 32 Gb and RTX 3080 system and my maximum screens size would be 43" In that league I end up always with this monitor: Samsung M7B S43BM700UU Does anyone have experience or could tell me if this screen is good for MSFS and gamingin general (no shooter, maybe soem racing games, strategy or building games)? Meanwhile I have found also the Philips 436M6VBPAB With the Samsung above I'm not sure if it starts in PC mode or if I have always switch the modes if I startup. I will use it only as PC monitor. The Philips seem…

  4. As noted, I have a 3080ti GPU and 3-across displays. They were 1080's but just upgraded all to 1440s. I can set two of the displays to 1440 but the 3rd will only show up to 1920x1080 (and lower) in the Windows display settings? Is it possible that the displays have to be connected to certain inputs on the 3080 for all to show 1440? Haven't read the specs on the GPU but I thought I would ask here first.

I am wondering if the price difference worth it or it is recommended to get the OC variant instead of the normal Strix 4090. Usually I do a little overclock myself and my actual Evga 3080 Ti FTW3 is running with OC but with undervoltage now.

Merry Christmas everyone, I'm noticing more and more that my excellent GTX1080 workhorse is struggling to render smooth MSFS 2020 gameplay in densely populated areas in IFR conditions. I've dialled down graphics settings to an acceptable minimum. I want to purchase a new graphics card. My budget is £500 and I have no plans to upgrade anything else for at least 2 years. Specs: Core I9 9900k DDR4 32GB 3200MHz 620W PSU 3440 x 1440 Would an RTX20xx series card be sufficient for 1440p or should I spend my money on an RTX3060Ti? I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has a similar spec and budget. Cheers all, Da…

My motherboard is an ASUS Rog Maximus Hero XII WiFi. My CPU is an intel i9-10900. I have 32Gb of 5000 speed memory. My current GPU is an Nvidia 3090 but I can't seem to find the answer to the question of whether my board supports an Nvidia 4090. I have the slots and case space. I have a high capacity power supply. But does my board support the device? Anyone know or can point to exactly where else to ask that question?

I have a simple question regarding upgrading my graphics drivers. I often upgrade my Nvidia video drivers when new ones come out. I really don't have many glitches or problems after upgrading the drivers. HOWEVER, should I use DDU to uninstall and reinstall my new drivers OR is the Nvidia tool good enough and does it do an adequate job? I mean, by just clicking on the new driver, the Nvidia process uninstalls the old driver (you actually see this when the process starts), and installs the new driver. It's simple and seems flawless. I would like to know from the I.T. experts out there though, if it's as good as the DDU process. I almost always get a GLFW type e…

Sorry if not in the right thread. I have an i7-6700K OC’ed at 4.7GHz with a 980Ti. Overall FPS is pretty good, stable 37FPS in most places but when using PMDG and in EGLL or other “busy” airports my FPS drops to 23. I use one screen only. I have my FPS locked to 37 via RTSS. I’m curious about upgrading my GPU over my CPU due to extra costs such as new motherboard, RAM etc. I am looking at MSI or ASUS 2070S. If upgrading would I see noticeable improvement in FPS? Thanks.

Hello, I can't decide between the MSI Suprim X or Trio X. It seems the idle power of the Suprim X is 35 watt where as the Trio is only 18 watt on idle. Maybe someone can help me out by let me know which MSI card they have an also if they have the Suprim X it's indeed 35 watt idle power.

My current setup is: CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core Processor - 8 Cores RAM - 32 GB GPU - Graphics - AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Motherboard - ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING It runs ok but gets stuttery in the big cities. Just looking for something that's a bit better. I'm not hell bent on AMD or NVIDIA. I'd go either way.

Just considering some options for an upgrade and wondering if anyone has upgraded from an RTX3090 to a 4090 and if so, what kind of performance increase have you experienced. I know YT is full of videos about the 4090, but I'd be more interested in hearing first hand experience from someone on Avsim who can offer their thoughts TBH.

Just curious what most of you are using for a display size. I am thinking of upgrading from my 34" Ultrawide Dell since it is about 6 years old. I'd like to go bigger, but I don't know if that will hurt performance at all and not look much better. I have the space for up to a 49" but can go anywhere between that and 34". I like the curved look. Currently I am running 3440x1440 at 60hz but wasn't sure if my hardware could handle bigger and better. Thanks!

  16. I'd like to hear from anyone who's recently upgraded from a 1000 series Nvidia card to a 4000 series card. The 4000 series is expensive, and I'm wondering whether those of you who have upgraded feel like you got your money's worth. I'm thinking about buying a new computer, so the CPU will be an upgrade for me as well. My current computer and graphics card (a 1070) are almost 8 years old. I currently get good performance out of MSFS -- a fact that surprises me. So I'm wondering whether an upgrade is worth the money in terms of MSFS performance? Give me your honest thoughts.

I used FSX with CRGSIM for a long time, now I return to my small homemade simulator type B737 as I have time to dedicate to it. I have CRGSIM 0.87 and found that it disappeared, no web. I've seen a couple of problems and need help: Varying the N1 button in FSX varies, but does not change the indicator in the EICAS crystal of crgsim. In Fsuipc there is an area for crgsim, in the offset : 0x7805 Bits 0 - 1 VNAV LNAV Status From crgsim 0x780F Bits 0 - 1 VNAV LNAV Button To crgsim (pressed=1) I read the value of 0x7805 well, when writing to 0x780F I see no change in VNAV-LNAV. If there are users who use it…

Will the Tobi Tracker 5 work in my application? I am operating three 24" 1080p screens, setup as a single Nvidia monitor, in MSFS 2020, so limited by the fact that MSFS does not itself support multi-screen mode. I had heard (somewhere?) that it will really only work on the centre screen. Can anyone with a similar MSFS setup share their experience and advice? Thank you, Brian

Currently flying XPlane 12 and occasionally MSFS. I got blurry ground textures in XP12 the other night after a long flight and I suspect I was running out of Vram. I have a Nvida Geforce RTX 2060 with 6gb of Vram, an Intel Core I9-10900K and 32gb of memory. I am considering upgrading to a Gigabyte Geforce RTX 3060 that has 12gb of Vram. I would welcome any comments on this upgrade, specifically if it is worth it and would it cure the blurries with the extra memory. Many thanks in advance of any replies.

For those who aren't concerned about their power bill and associated heat issues, Galax just announced a 2-16 pin connected 4090 to pull 1kw. See https://www.tomshardware.com/news/galax-rtx-4090-hof-dual-16-pin-connectors-1000w Wow! Hope the performance is proportional to the increase in power draw.

I would be obliged for some advise please. I am thinking about upgrading my GPU. My present system is GPU Nvidia GTX 1070. CPU is Intel i5-9600k @3.70Ghz. 6 cores 6 Threads. I have 32 GBytes of DDR4 memory and an Asus Prime Z370-P11.Motherboard Could I upgrade my GPU to a 3070 without having to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard? My sim is running fairly smoothly on high end graphics settings but tends to struggle when I introduce such addons as FSTL. Thanks in advance.

All, I wonder if I can garner some advice, I am in the market for a new Monitor at the moment I run a Dell 27 Gaming Monitor -S2721HGF 1920x1080 and sit an arms length away from it. Getting older and eyes getting worse especially in the cockpit of a320 airliner type aircraft. Present computer specs as follows Asus RTX3080 10Gb, I9-12900KF 3.20GHz, 32GB Ram, Win11. Would I be best to stick with a 27" 4k Monitor or increase up to a 32 (and would this create a performance hit?) Looked at no end of sites trying to match a monitor with this card and it seems confusing/contradictory so though I'd put it out here... probably have about £300-400 to s…

Yep, I still wasn't able to get the 4090 since its release on October 12th and I am refusing to pay the scalpers. Does anyone know if there are any hints for an upcoming release wave any time soon? This is getting beyond ridiculous.
