Next generation graphics cards are barely mentioned as their (possible) video memory is already teasing us. The GDDR6X, soon old history. From GDDR7 to 36 Gbps to start. While the theoretical maximum of the GDDR6 is 24 Gbps, the GDDR7 promises to go much further: Micron speaks of 36 Gbps, which amounts to a 50% increase and leads to 50 Gbps are mentioned. Of course, the fact that GDDR7 video memory chips will be available by next June does not mean that manufacturers, such as graphics cards, will immediately jump on them. A few days ago, a leak indicated for example that NVIDIA did not plan to launch a new graphic architecture before 2025. Also know that the GDD…

Hi Everybody, Funny think happened when I purchased a new cable for my old 75" Samsung UHDTV. I never had the option of G-sync Monitor when using the HDMI output on the TV to the HDMI input the computer. I went and picked up an HDMI to Display Port to go with my 4090 and now I have the G-Sync option. This Samsung TV doesn't have G-Sync as far as I know. It's the UN75JU6500FXZA model. Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I've been struggling with the following issue for the past few days and come here in the hope of finding someone able to help me. My video setup is composed of a total of 9 screens, two of which are projectors whose images need to be warped to fit a cylindrical screen. I'm using Fly Elise Immersive Calibration Pro/Display Pro softwares to achieve this goal. While the warping part seems correct in the calibration software, the perspective is incorrect. This translates in P3D, the warping does work but does not provide the correct FOV. You can find pictures and a video of the issue using this google drive : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Mhtm…

Super impressed by the technology of this assembly line. Surprised that PowerColor allowed Der Bauer so much freedom. It was pretty cool seeing how they assemble their products, how they benchmark every single card they make for at least an hour, and how 10% of their daily production receives a 24 hour burn-in test is quite impressive. I'm running Nvidia right now, and PowerColor stopped manufacturing Nvidia cards. But I wouldn't hesitate to purchase their products after seeing their level of quality control.

I'm finally moving on from my ancient system to an intel 13900K + nvidia 4090 setup and am struggling to settle on a monitor. I really need accurate color representation such as a full 100% SRGB mode (which has all display settings unlocked), good DCI-P3/ARGB coverage, etc for non-MSFS stuff that I do, and it seems like VRR/gsync monitors that have these features are far and few between (am eyeing the Asus PG279QM however). So as an interim solution planning to stick it out with my 1440p 60hz monitor for now. Given that, some questions and would love opinions from you all: 1) The new cpu/gpu is overkill for 1440p 60hz I guess, but that said I guess this also means …

Im sure someone can help with this . I have a new build with a 4080 card. I am still using an older asus monitor and unfortunately i still have an old issue. I have a very hard time getting my vc textures really clear and sharp. I use microsoft 2020, xplane 12 and 11, and p3d v5.4 , so im pretty up to date as of may 2023. However , i cannot get the vc textures sharp and clear on the aircraft iIfly, some stock and some not. The vc textures are always pretty blurry I fly stock planes and carenado and pmdg aircraft in most of the sims ( obviously things are a mix of success with respect to the variation on the sim ) but regardless the VC is always pretty bl…

... or use the adapter that will be coming with the new GPU? The dedicated cable I'm looking at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BZPPNV1Y/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=AXPA79G34ZNUD&th=1 has a 90 degree connector which should alleviate any cable mauling to fit inside the case and might be a whole lot cleaner (neater) running from the PSU. Is it worth spending the additional $26 plus tax, or is this a non-issue?

I am currently experimenting using the Asus ProArt PA147CDV as an instrumentation display for airliners and other glass-cockpit aircraft on MSFS. This is a very compact 14" unit with a 1920x550 touch-screen that costs around 500 Euros. My initial impressions are positive, especially when using modern avionics that support touchscreens like the 787 or G3000/5000 units. The unit is somewhat smaller than I would have wished and quite expensive though, so I will need some additional days to decide if I keep it or not. Here are some photos and a video showcasing my experience so far:

Hi Everyone! The debate continues on how to update my existing system. i7-10700K, GTX1080, 32gb 3200, 750w PSU, z490 MSI board with a 34" 60hz screen. MSFS currently runs well but I am getting Device hung errors in P3D. I have reloaded the sim and still get them once in a while. I was debating a used 3070 which won't bottleneck the CPU (according to a cpu bottleneck website) but I'm a bit nervous about the power requirement and I want to be as future thinking as possible. I'm also considering an Intel A750 or A770 if one ever shows up again.in the stores. An RTX 4070 may be the eventual winner. I'd appreciate any opinions anyone can share. Thanks! …

Which monitor would you recommend for long screen work, gaming, photoshop etc. I was thinking of a 4k. Should I take 240 refresh rate or cheaper 150hz? I ask because with TV I can also look at twilight without any problems but not with the PC. Thanks and greetings
