Anyone has a good idea when they'll be in stock? I was told that all those crypto miners are busted and we should have plenty supply of 4090, but, alas, the situation looks almost exactly like the 3090 two years ago. Very frustrating. Seems only available 4090 are from scalper who charge at least $500 more. Shame.

Hi everyone, after many years of proud service, I'm about to change my GTX1080 and my designed successor would be the RTX4080. I'm not much of an expert in hardware so my main doubt is: how much the new GPU would be bottlenecked by my I7 [email protected] in MSFS? Is it still worth the upgrade or do you think that it will limit the GPU too much?

Hi, Since yesterday I am seeing more and more white squares on my desktop, especially when loading MSFS and for example after transitions from a webpage and MSFS or the opposite. Can be 3 or 4 squares but they can be 40 or 400... Suggestions? Thanks.

If so, how do you like it? Please share your settings… as I just got one myself. Any issues with burn-in with MSFS or other games?

Hi, I have a Dell Alienware AW34DW20 which is indeed a very good monitor for MSFS. I need a new TV and I was thinking to buy one to serve also as a monitor for MSFS, alone or in combination with the Dell. I am planning to buy LG OLED 48C24LA because there is a big discount due to back friday. However it must be connected with HDMI while the Dell is connected via Displayport. Is it a problem to connect just the TV with HDMI, or both, each one with its connection type? I have an Asus RTX 3090 OC videocard. I am also considering the 55C24LA as a second option. Since it is bigger the 4K image is not so interesting in terms of pixelization. Is this correct?…

My first new build in many years. I'm still rocking the 1060 in my current build. Here's what I've got so far. Everything but the GPU has been purchased with various black friday deals. So my current Specs are Win 7 CPU: Core i5 4460 at 3.2 GPU: NVIDIA GTX 750 TI Memory: 12GB DDR3 Storage: 2 TB SSD Surprisingly, I can run MSFS 2020 even though I get a warning when I start it, that says I don't meet the minimum requirements, but If I try to run another program like Plan G as a moving map on my second monitor that is usually where I run into issues. As you can see in the pic below, it looks like I'm mainly limited by the GPU and this got me curious if you think it would be worth it to upgrade the GPU and if that would have any effect on the performance. I'm fine with the current settings, but would mainly just like to be able…

The FS2020 friendly HP Reverb G2 is on sale for the 50% off price of $299 USD on HP's Black Friday sale page: HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality Headset I appologize for posting this in the general forum but I thought that, at this price, non-VR users might want to take the plunge.

Hello all This model is currently on sale for $569.99 at best buy (usually 1299.00) I know the LG C1/C2 and CX models get a lot praise from the forum for msfs use. Would this be a good alternative choice for a little cheaper than the C oled models? Thanks

My current system consists of 4770K @4.5 GHz 16 GB 2200 MHz RAM and a NVIDIA 2700 Super which I use with a HP Reverb G2 VR headset. Also have a 27" 2560*1440 monitor. I intend to upgrade that to (mainly because of my flightsims MSFS DC3 P3D5 XP) 5800X3D 32 GB RAM + a new video card Finding a good alternative for the video card is very difficult. First the new 4090 and 4080 is out of question because of the high prices. So I have been looking at 3080 and 3090 and here the problem is also prices. Actually where I live I have seen raised prices on these two outgoing cards. And I assume I can't expect them to be available for any longer time. A shop hinted about th…

Hello, I just updated my RTX 3070 to the new 526.86 driver and my taskbar became huge. So I rolled it back to 526.47 and it's still huge despite a reboot and even turning it off completely. This is all I did, nothing else was changed. What the heck caused this, anyone know? I'm not even close to the experience you guys have so any help would be really appreciated.

To all: I want to upgrade my monitor for MSFS – I currently have a 27” Dell SDR monitor, but would like something larger and with higher resolution. However, I’m not sure what the highest-spec monitor is that my PC hardware can handle. If someone could point me to a site that has this type of information, I’d appreciate it. (FYI, these are my PC specs: CPU: Intel i9-9900 @3.10 GHz, 8 core, 32GB memory GPU GeForce RTX 2080) Thanks for your help!

See https://www.tomshardware.com/news/rtx-4090-native-16-pin-melting -- "Another GeForce RTX 4090 owner has fallen victim to the native 16-pin power connector meltdowns. But, according to Redditor(opens in new tab), he manipulated the cable carefully and didn't bend or twist it unnecessarily. "

Good afternoon! Getting this ball rolling on my new simulator (Think I've decided on MSFS2020) ! I found these TV's, not a bad price. Thoughts on if they're a good fit? (I'm doing 3 - 55" TV's for kind of a wrap around in-cockpit feel) LG - 55" Class UQ75 Series LED 4k 60Hz refresh rate https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-55-class-uq75-series-led-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv/6501939.p?skuId=6501939&ref=212&loc=1&extStoreId=366&ref=212&loc=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI556fyZD3-gIVYQOtBh3dCg1AEAQYASABEgIsavD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

From TH -- 4080 benchmarks from past trustworthy leakers -- https://www.tomshardware.com/news/alleged-rtx-4080-benchmarks Quoting from the article: "The next Ada Lovelace graphics card that's due to be served up by Nvidia is the GeForce RTX 4080. Over the last few hours, there have been some interesting performance-indicative leaks claimed to feature this model, from usually reputable sources. The leaked benchmark scores show the RTX 4080 between 25% and 37% slower than the formidable RTX 4090. We must take these results with a pinch of salt, but they are worthy of closer examination."

I'm thinking about picking up this a Gsync Ultimate Certified Alienware display but before going there would love to know what kind of frametime variance happens when CPU and GPU aren't overloaded. If you have a true Gsync display if you could do a test flight and let me know what you're seeing for VARIANCE in frametime. Let me know what vertical refresh rate you're at as well as what the range of frametime is for the first 5 or 10 minutes of a flight. I use a Vsync method that delivers frametimes that just hardly change at all, they are super stable and consistent at exactly what they should be and will fluctuate by 0.1ms only pretty much, again provided the CPU/GPU a…

Do we know the rough performance difference between the 4090 and soon to be released 4080? My thinking is this... the main appeal of the 40-series cards for MSFS is due to the effective frame rate doubling of DLSS3. On my current 3090 with settings of 4K, Ultra, LOD400, TAA, I'm getting around 45-55FPS with dips down to 30-40 with tons of mods and scenery. If the 4080 offers no advantage over the 3090 other than just doubling my frame rate with DLSS, that gets me over 60FPS in almost every situation. That's perfect. Now the 4090 might be 10% better than the 3090 right? But that's not really going to add much is it? I mean going from a low of 30FPS (3090) to …

Hi guys, I recently tried to get my VRinsight equipment up and running again. Unfortunately the CDU II is not displaying (the screen) anything, not windows or FSX in the sim. The odd thing is, the VRsim program (that connects the hardware to the sim) shows the CDU II as a usable device and I tested the CDU II with the NGX and the buttons on the physical CDU hardware, interface fine and work with the FMC display in game, so I know that the keyboard/USB portion of the CDU II is still functioning. Whats left is the display is black, as in the monitor won't show any video. So I have tried a few things: I thought maybe the VGA cable was the issue, so I borrowed a…
