I have a monitor that does offer Freesync but I am using a GTX card. I heard that some monitors can "sync" up with a GTX card? I can select Gsync in the control panel, so do I turn Freesync on or not?

  3. So this is my current sim rig: i7-7700K o/c @ 4.8 (Kaby Lake), 1TB SAMSUNG 960 PRO PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, 32GB DDR4/3000MHz, ASUS ROG MAXIMUS IX HERO, GeForce(R) GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition and I just ordered a ASUS GeForce RTX 3080 12GB TUF Gaming OC Graphics Card. My hopes are that I will see good improvements in VR with my Reverb G2. With my current rig I can easily enjoy VR in XP11 in most areas as well as descent VR in MSFS with mid settings. So my hopes are to see a vast improvement in FPS with just a little bit of room to bump a setting up here and there. From everything that I've read the 3080 on my rig almost doubles FPS over the 1080Ti. If this is …

I'm running MSFS with medium settings on an i7-3820 CPU, 16GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 780 Ti GPU and Windows 10. Both CPU & GPU loads are at 100% when using MSFS and the FBW A320. Because I want more FPS (who does not?) and be able to set settings to high or ultra, I am thinking about upgrading just my GPU to one of the following graphic cards: RX 6600, RTX 3060, RX 5700 XT, RX 6600 XT, RTX 2070 Super or RTX 3060 Ti. (I dont want to spend 1,5k (EUR, not Rubels) on a more recently released GPU). Each of them should be compatible with my DX79 SI Mainboard I guess? The DX79SI MB provides two PCIe 3.0 x16 slots. Am I likely to achieve a significant b…

  6. Hello All, I just picked up a LG OLED C1 48" TV. When I run P3D with GSYNC/VRR enabled I get this annoying white flash that appears to be caused by the mouse cursor when hovering or clicking on click spots. Turning GSYNC/VRR off causes the flash to go away. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this issue and if there is a workaround/fix other than turning off GSYNC?

I have a 1070 card. A friend of mine is selling his card because he is going to a 3090 Selling: I’m looking at getting a 3090 mid to later this month. If you want, I’ll sell you my EVGA 3080 10GB (less than a year old) for $1200 cash once I have the 3090 installed. For any that have this OLED, just wondering what your picture settings are. I have mine okay but a tad darker than I would prefer. OLED light is at 37 (out of 100) because I'm afraid of burn-in as I do long flights and sometimes the VC view stays static for a while as in a few hours. I do have all the anti-burn in settings on under OLED Panel Care. Just wondering what others are using.

Thought I'd post this incase anyone cares. I'm running a 48" CX as a desktop monitor, with a 3090 gpu. Calibrating monitors and tv's is relatively expensive, mostly because it requires specialized hardware and software that most people will never buy. I don't own any calibration equipment. My "go-to" source for display reviews is Rtings. They posted a review of the 48" CX specifically as a desktop monitor. In that review they posted an ICC color calibration file for their 48 CX. Now, each panel is different and no two are the same. But I decided to try their profile anyway, and I'm really happy with the results. https://www.rtings.co…

Hello! I am having a Samsung C34F791 3440x1440 34" UltraWide monitor which I am thinking to replace. The main reason is I am using the setup for MSFS2020 and Home Office as well and for Office tasks my preference is 2x27" monitors with slightly lower resolution (ie.2560x1440) and also my expectation would be to gain FPS in MSFS. I use the monitor in native resolution and MSFS in Full screen mode. With 2x27" setup I would use MSFS on 1 Monitor full screen, on the other Monitor maybe some browser, Vpilot, Charts would be open, but nothing GPU intense. Can someone comment if it would be easier for the GPU to handle compared to the existing 34" full screen? My …

  13. Hi, I currently have a 3 monitor set up (3 X 19" Samsung 940BX (I know they are pretty old)). I saw an MSI 34" (https://www.microcenter.com/product/632289/msi-optix-mag342cqm-34-2k-uwqhd-(3440-x-1440)-144hz-ultrawide-curved-screen-gaming-monitor) in an add today and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to swap the 3 monitors for a single one. The 3 monitors currently run a 3840x1024 resolution and the 34" would be 3440x1440. Just curious to get some opinions on if swapping the current 3 monitor set up for a single 34" curved would be worthwhile and better P3D + MSFS experience. Thanks, Bryan CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700X, GPU: RTX 2070 Supe…

What sort of memory temps are you getting fellow RTX 3090 owners. Even at idle my memory is running at 64 degrees. 94 degrees in FS2020 (even just in menus) In COD Warzone 90 degrees. I'm aware that the memory chips can exceed 100 degrees before issues, but the manufacturers recommend a max temp of 95/110 degrees. The high memory temps are resulting in excessive fan noise, so I'm thinking of perhaps buying the AIO Hybrid kit for the card, or maybe even a custom loop. What are your experiences guys? Same issue? Or did you find a solution?

Greetings. Today I have tried DDU software for the first time and I have a feeling I have missed something during graphic update. I have watched several tutorials how to use DDU software and the steps were pretty much the same. I booted PC in safe mode and started DDU. I made selection in DDU GUI (GPU, NVIDIA and 'Clean and restart' option). The old driver was uninstalled with no problem. However when my PC was restarted it was still in safe mode. Based on Microsoft when the system is rebooted it should exit safe mode. Not in my case. So being still in safe mode I install the new driver but during the installation the PC did not restart as it usually does durin…

  20. For all you multi display simmers... So, I have had 3-across 27" 60Hz. 1080 displays for years. All good. One, after 8 years, finally gave out. Thinking of replacing it with a 27" 2560x1440K 165Hz (one with G-sync), placing that in the middle between the two 1080's. Are the different refresh rates gonna screw things up? What if I stretch P3Dv5 or MSFS across all three... will it work or go nuts? Would I have to run all three at 60Hz? FYI - currently using a Nvidia GForce 1080 8GB GPU, i7-2700k at 5GHz, Thoughts?

  23. Hi. I have strange problem with my "view configuration". I connected to my GPU 1x smart TV 55'' with 4K by HDMI, 2x smart TV 55'' with 4K by Display Port with HDMI 4K adapter. When I power on my PC, first TV by HDMI and second by Display Port shows normally but third shows only "no connection". Then I restart PC and: first TV by HDMI and third shows normally everything, but second TV shows only "no connection". Each time randomly one of the TVs does not show the picture (those with Display Port). When the computer is turned on and I manually disconnect the display port cable from the port and reconnect it - the image appears, but sometimes it does not. T…

Coming back here again for suggestions. My main use case is playing MSFS 2020 and make youtube videos. MSFS is the first ever video game I have played. I thought when I finally got hold of a RTX 3080 my fligh simming would be smooth sailing for a while. I tried flying out of EGLC but I run out of vram before I can even taxi on to the runway. This really suprised me. With my 1080 GTX it was almost a slide show but at least P3Dv5.3 didn't CTD. I don't have settings anywhere near maxed out. Has any one with similar system specs been more successful in this very dense scenery? tag @GSalden
