Having not previously suffered from the problem at all, I am now getting persistent CTDs, even with Joachim's fix installed and the other terrain.cfg fix applied. FS9 won't actually load at all now- it gets to 99% and then CTD without warning or error message.Anyone know what might be causing this and how I might sort it?Thanks in advanceM

Well I took the plunge for the CRJ 200 and I paid 29.95 US .I am quite disappointed with this bird for the following reasons.I own the PMDG 737NG and Eaglesoft Citation-X and the CRJ is not even in the same league.I would put it between the PMDG express Beech and the previously mentioned.The visuals are ok but the taxi lights seem to float under the nose.The FPS in all 3 modes are not smooth and the side views are horrendous they are the VC views but not well done.Clickspots are omitted on the 2D panel so you need to use the keyboard commands which become cumbersome.The manuals are really bad they only give you the basics and it took me an hour just to learn how to shut d…

This really is an amazing program. I'm just getting into the 'in depth' features and am really enjoying it. I cant believe that everyone's not raving about it ........ Is it just that it has not been discovered yet ? It's more flxeble than Flight Deck Companion and I'm finding I'm using Hotseat more and more. With the X-45 Hotas and Voice recognition software to confirm commands with the Hotseat co-pilot and ATC etc I hardly need to lay a finger on the keyboard. Please check Hotseat out or you will be missing a gem !! It's GREAT !!

Is it me or are the "Boeing" panels on Fs9 really unrealistic. All the gauges are compressed and so in the wrong place(to close together).I would really appreciate it if i could hear your views on this and whether its just me.If there are any more realistic panels that can be downloaded(freeware) for the boeing family.THANKSJason.I

By equatorial account, Winter ended on March 21. By FS9 accounts, I still have snow on the ground on April 13th. I have to advance the date to April 21st to get Spring to arrive. Flowers are blooming, grass is growing, but not in FS9. Any idea how to get FS9 to adhere to the actual calendar changes of season?Thanks

Has anyone had a problem with the texture load times in FS9??? It seems like this problem is getting worse and worse for me. Every time I switch views it seems FS9 requires more and more time to load the sims textures. If I'm flying with the 2D panel and want to switch to the VC, the sim just hangs for about 5 or 6 seconds in order to load the VC textures, same goes for aircraft around the airports. If I'm at an airport and decide to look around either in the VC or outside the aircraft there's multiple pauses that are anywhere from 2 to 10 seconds long. Whenever I shift-Z to read my frame rate, the frame rate counter fluctuates so much I can't determine what the actual frame rate is.I use Ken Salter's FS9 Configurator and select the option to read the average frame rate but I still can't interpret the rate. What do the numbers indicate when I select this option and how do I know what the actual frame rate is? Thanks for any clarification.Jim

Hi.I normally use the sim in the dusk/night environment and I found that most of that environment is much to dark, compared with real life. Many of the Freeways are not very exact, some are missing and all are too dark, in my opinion. In KSNA area, 405 is of many different types, some is rendered as roads, and many parts are missing.I decided to modify some of the textures that may give a better simulation of what I perceive to be a realistic representation. Hello all,I have noticed for some reason, all turbroprop aircraft that I have tried so far, start moving once I release the parking brake.The aircraft keep speeding up and I constantly have to hold the brakes. Trying to taxi is a very out of control deal.Is there anyway to fix the airfile or something so they behave like the other aircraft and move only when you apply throttle?My favorite aircraft for crusing around is the DH6 Twin Otter and this problem is ruining my party :(Thanks

OK, my apologies if I don't have the abbreviations right but I will try to explain my question. My understanding of the Garmin 500 is that it should drive the HSI CDI when in GPS mode. That doesn't seem to happen in FS9 although I thought it worked at some point. Instead you end up with a useless HSI and having to reference the CDI on the GPS itself. Are some planes set up that way? Is anyone else having better luck? I am using the FSD Seneca and Panther at the moment. ThanksDavid

While flying over scenery in europe mostly over the mountains, fs 9 diappears all of a sudden. Any solution to prevent fs 9 from disappearing over any scenery?.best regards.Aftab.

The gate assignments in MSFS for LAX don't correspond to the numbers listed at the real LAX site. Is their a document or map that shows the LAX gate numbers as they are programmed in Flight Sim 2004? I don't like using Progressive Taxi.ThanksB

For the last week or so, I have not been able to download the weather using Active Sky - 4000 from their "HiFi Data Net"... it just never finishes downloading. Sometimes I'm get a message, "Internet Connection Unstable". I have changed some settings on my FIREWALL so I'm NOT sure if the trouble is from something I've done, or is the HiFi Data Net for Active Sky 4000 been having problems of their on ?Last question. Is there a differance in the weather that I get from Active Sky and the Default downloaded weather I would get from the Ddefault downloaded weather from FS2004 using the Jeppsen connection. To be honest, I can NOT see the differance. Thanks for the help.jerry

hi everyone,after reading the many posts on this merge,i got it to work except for one thing,when engageing the autopilot,the aircraft begins rocking violently back and forth and does not stop.i am wondering if anyone has any insight to this.i am using pedro oliveira v8 air,cfg files.thanks for any help.

Before I installed the new Toronto area scenery, I looked at the default CYYZ on FS2004 and here is what I found. I didn't think CYYZ was on a plateau, but this picture tells all!!!
