All: If anyone out there has a similar system (see specs below)please help me understand what the problem might be. I have all the latest drivers for the motherboard, display adapter, and Audigy 2 sound card. Start WindowsXP Pro with most services and all third party startup services disabled. System running on essential minimums. FS 2004 assigned to its own CPU via task manager (hyper-threading enabled). Frames are actually quite good throughout FS2004 (20+) but the stuttering and awful pauses during turns (both taxiing and flying) are real show stoppers (literally!). I'm using Ken Mitchell's 757 panel in a Posky 757. For some reason, I can't change frequencies on the radio. I thought I knew how to fix this by making sure the radio settings were like this:[Radios]// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slopeAudio.1=1Com.1=1, 1Com.2=1, 1Nav.1=1, 1, 1Nav.2=1, 1, 0Adf.1=1Transponder.1=1Marker.1=1Is there something I'm missing or is there a fix for Mitchell's panel that I'm unaware of? Can anyone tell me if the callsign for Song Delta? Thats how it is for Ultimate Traffic and while I understand that Song is the lowcost airline of Delta I wasnt sure if this was right. Also what about TED is that also United?Thanks in advance

Dear all,I was happily flying when I encountered the dreaded CTD. The atc is guiding me to land at RJCC when this happened. Assuming this is the infamous seasonal CTD, I edited my terrain.cfg as suggested in Tips&Tricks section(changing Maskclassmap 3 and 1 to 0), but have yet to install the patch by Joachim.I then started the flight fresh (not loading from previos autosave). However, I encountered the same problem at approximately the same spot. On both occasion, it was indicated that atc.dll is the culprit.I also recalled having this error a while ago when flying in South America (forgot the exact location).Can anyone help me solve this problem?Regards,J. Hi guys... I recently upgraded to a AMD 2.8GHz/512MB DDR400/ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe Mobo system, and I'll be able to make decent flight videos from FS2004... My question is what is the approximate file size you'd be willing to download? I want to make them as high quality as possible but I dont want to rob people of the chance to watch an FS video because it's too big to download for them. An example of an answer to my question would be something like 5-10MB, etc... Also, should I make a high quality and low quality so that you have a choice? Thanks for your info... I just want to be able to make videos that would appeal to as many people as possible.

Has anyone experienced the following?: After a few minutes of level flight, while on Autopilot, your aircraft all of sudden loses complete control and will pitch up or down violently - sometimes cartwheel end over end or invariably into a spin. Despite disengaging the AP and trying to regain manual control, it is impossible to do so. I also notice a massive fluctuation in the ASI before it happens. It is as if the Autopilot has gone whacko! I am also using FS Navigator and Weather Center real weather software. At first I thought the aircraft was being hit by a strong jetstream and it was virtually getting knocked over. hi, i have looked in the forums but have not found the answer that i am looking for. i realise that it is not easy to add AI helicopters to airports but is it possible to add a static chopper to a helipad? i have added a medical helipad to an airport that i am altering and it would be nice to have a helo sitting there even if it doesnt move, of course if anyone knows of a way to make it do so then that would be better! thanks for the help, James

Anyone else noticed that the quality of light displayed on screen is BETTER when FS is used at a lower resolution and with frame rates locked?Last night I accidentally locked my fps to 24 and the resolution to 1024x768x32, lower than my standard settings. I was truly surprised to find that I could definitely see an immprovement in the rendering of ambient light. This in addition to the better looking clouds I was expecting to see.As a further experiment, I then dropped the Global Texture settings to HIGH, from MAXIMUM, added a visibility layer from ground level to 1,500 feet using FSUIPC and then flew repeated take-offs and climb outs at various resolutions and fps settin…

On several occasions I have experienced that the aircraft heading and track suddenly goes offset by a large number of degrees. This seem to be happening on the Northern Hemisphere (I haven't checked on the Southern Hemisphere yet). Yesterday at the fix MAMED (N38 34.80 E057 42.00) we where two pilots flying online with the PSS B747 and we both came into the same trouble at this position, which made the FMC's unserviceable. The other pilot got an compass error of about plus 45 degress, and I got an error of about plus 115 degrees.Later I have checked on WSSS Singapore (our destination) offline and also with default aircraft and the same error occurs. I wanted to play with some settings in my FS9.cfg file, but lo and behold, I cannot find this file! I looked in my root directory of /FS9/where it should be, but it's not there. I even ran the Windows XP "find" to search for the file, with no results. Very strange, since FS2004 starts and runs just fine. I hoped to copy this file from the installation CDs, but could not find it there either. If FS2004 creates this file each time I start the program, then I wonder where it is?I also have FS2002 installed on the same machine, but I don't think that would affect the FS2004 files. Please help me by directing me to the very best 757 model in FS2004 (full animations and wing views), the very best 757 panel in FS2004 (realistic and with multiple views), and the very best 757 sounds in Ms2004. I fly the 757 frequently (United)in real life, and I absolutely love the plane. I just can't seem to get a complete, and excellent model in FS9. The last panel I had seemed to have a radio problem (couldn't change frequencies)and I DID put the correct radio settings (pasted)into it.I look forward to your many opinions, because I know there are other 757 fans on this forum.
