Hello!They say that you need to shut down other applications to makeFS 2002/FS9 run smoother.Silly me, but how do you do that?Do I need to disconnect Internet, etc.??Grateful for help.Thanks!Hans HermanssonSweden

Can anyone advise whether there is any documentaion relating to the two files one gets on saving a flight?The .FLT file is in a readable format, and one can work out many of the entries, but the .WX is different. What data does this contain?I notice that the FS2K2 files are very much smaller than the FS9 files.I came to this as I am still using FS2K2, and am wondering whether one can use FS9 saved flights e.g Doherty's Dangerous Approaches. They seems to work to an extent, but the weather doean't seem right.ThanksDavid

I'm really surprised that no company has decided to offer for sale any FS9 vfr photographic scenery for any of the US national parks. Places like Monument Valley look great with just FSGenesis add on mesh but with real colours they would look even better. I know it's possible to add your own scenery but I'm sure there are a lot of people that would buy this sort of product if offered.Victor

I just received and installed my Captain Sim three holer. In the documents that came with the CD it says that additional liveries can be obtained by going to Avsim.com. I have not been able to locate these addons. Can someone enlighten me please?Jesse

Is there any kind of fix for the wild and shaky rides over certain scenery areas. Kinda like wind shear or killer turbulence.This is in FS 2002 and over third paty scenery.. I think!Thanks in advanceJim

Hi All,I hope someone can help me with this.I am flying Yannick's superb Falcon 50 in FS9. I had no problems with the installation, except for one thing.When I'm in the 2D cockpit, and I look out of the side windows, I seem to be "transported" back into the passenger cabin. In other words, I can't see out to the right or left, which makes it pretty interesting when setting up for final.I tried a few things, like copying some of the bitmaps from the "light" panel.cfg, but no luck. Hi everyone!Is it possible to add call signs to panels? Most of panels that I have already have them, but there are a couple that don't. I know how to add gauges to panels, but don't find anywhere in the panel.cfg where it refers to call signs.If possible other than learning how to add them to any panel, I would find really useful to have speed call signs, mostly to use them when I am on final. I'm one of those people that was plagued with CTD's ever since I installed FS9. Sometimes I'm able to get through a whole flight without any problems. Just a couple days ago though after my last CTD, Windows directed me to update my driver for my chipset. So I went to the Intel site and updated the driver. I haven't had a CTD since updating the driver, but now when I fly in FS9, the scenery textures smooth out and become blurry almost instantly. The aircraft textures also are very slow to load and sometimes go blurry. I maxed out all the bars and still the scenery goes blurry. It's almost as if this new driver stops the CTD's by dumping the heavy load textures right away,…

Hello all, I purchased the SF.260 quite a while ago and just re-installed it tonight when I noticed a rather annoying model issue...When the nose gear is retracted it is apparently still slaved to the rudder and when you move the rudder this causes the nose gear wheel to cut through the fuselage.I love the FM but I am also really into the exterior of the aircraft for screenshots and this is issue rather annoying. lolDoes anybody know if RealAir has any plans to have this fixed?Thx!!:)

Does anybody have problems with certain ATC options in FS9...such as not being able to call up ATIS, not being able to get a different approach, not being able to get airport direction....My buttons will not summon any of these options to life...!!!! Plus when starting off a flight plan, I don't even get to ask for clearance...when I request clearence, I simply get an approval back without hearing my requestr first.!

I was wondering if I could use Edward Cox's textures that were from an AI American 737-800 textures that are in the library into the FFX 737-800 aircraft. Would there be major texture problems with the plane?I know there will be one in the future that was posted in the forum about a couple of weeks ago made specifically for the new 737-800 but I was just wondering if this would work for the meantime until that plane is released. I'm sure Avsim has good reasons for changing the library download procedures, but I'm a little dissapointed. Unlike other sites I could always count on a quick download fromm Avsim. I check the library every day, as a matter of fact Avsim.com is my home page. Now with the changes to the downloads server I have to try multiple times to connect. Hello,Sorry for the post here but I tried PSS and it went unanswered.I have all of the PSS products - 747, 777 (FS2002) Airbus 319 - 321, Airbus 330/340 and the DASH8 (all on FS2004). All run on the same system - Dell 8200 (fast!). All of the A/C are flown with the same settings and equipment but only one does not work without HUGE delays. Only the DASH8 sim delays for long periods of time (5-15 seconds!) during scenery changes/panel changes and whatever else it is doing.I posted this on the PSS site and got no answer from their support - just another post from a user with the same problem.Any ideas from the community? I will go to another DASH8 sim if I cannot get this …

Sirs,I've read that a few new products coming to the market for FS2004 may have weather radar which is great however what is the default weather engine like in FS2004, is it at all realistic, can it generate pockets of bad weather? Is a weather radar really worth the hit the CPU will take? Could someone in the know tell me if Microsoft's FS2004 can produce anything like x-plane weather can (which is very impressive)? Fairly new to PC's and Fltsims. Lots of questions.Q1. What is a "Mesh" and what does it mean to "declare" the mesh after downloading?
