I have not been using my sim for a while and I came back to it after adding the new Nvidia 56.56 drivers. I run at 1280x960 and with aircraft like the FSD Cheyenne or Seneca I usually get around 20FPS at best on or near the ground and no better than that in the clouds if I have the blow up instruments on. Today I did a few practice approaches and noticed that I had a steady frame rate in the low thirties and my instruments are noticeably smoother. I have made no other changes to my system.P4 2.4 - 1.5GB Ram

I find it somewhat uninspiring to make a IFR flightplan and load it.Thats because then you are told exactly what to do by ATC. And what they tell you to do often divert significantly from your flightplan.Another annoying thing is that when you get slightly of course you are told to make turn that makes you of course on the other resulting in zick zack course.I fly the realair Cessna in FS9 and have tried both FS own flightplanner and FSNavigator.Is this like the real thing? You don't really navigate but just follow instructions from ATC.I feel like no own decisions and navigation thus no challange and no fun.

I've been crashing to reboot again the last couple of days...Anybody having trouble since the spring textures are active?

After unzipping a file into my computer, how do I get it into the actual FS 2002 aircraft folder so I can see it in the list and actually fly it? bill James

Hi,Using FS2004 user defined weather you can only set visibility to either 800m or 400m but no in between values? Is there a file somewhere in the FS9 directory that I can edit manually to get say 600m visibility or is it impossible?Thanks-Paul

Hi AllJust wondering if anyone out there still using FS2002 is having this problem. I know I'm not alone as a good friend of mine on the the other side of the planet is suffering from this also. I am using the registered version of fsuipc along with Radar Contact, Active Sky and a multitude of other addons including Ultimate Traffic.What happens is this. I can be anywhere in the flt regime, in flight,on the gnd and all of a sudden I get a message saying FS needs to close, sorry for the inconvience. Does anyone have a complete keymap for every option in the game FS2002? I mean, something that includes the little known commands like shift+e to open doors? The kneeboard omits wuite a few commands and i was wondering if anyone had a complete version.Thanks

I installed a new scenery for SAEZ which I got in the web, but unfortunately the name of the author is not mentioned.The problem that I have is that this new scenery moves the airport to the north like half a mile, and although it comes with an Afcad file, which relocates the gates, taxiways and runways, it seems that it doesn't change the ground properties, leaving the runway and taxiways with the properties of the sorrounding ground, say full of holes. I have been trying to take off my Posky 767-300 and since its nose gear its very sensitive to the imperfections of the ground, it gets damages and the plane crashes.With the downloaded file it comes a text that says:Flat…

I has a Radeon 9800 pro 125mb graphic card and today I was looking at the different settings for it and the effects on FS2004. My question is what is difference between 4x and 6x? Cause I had my anti aliasing on 6x, then changed it to 4x to see what the diffence would be, but I didn't see any diffence in FS2004 at all.

The subject file (kclm_-_fairchild_int.zip) was uploaded yesterday to the AVSIM library. I would like to add this upgrade but the complexity of the files is beyond my installation capability. It would be appreciated if the author could provide some instructions.

Would it be worth my while unistalling FS9 and then reinstalling it and my addons to improve performance? Am I right in thinking that if you uninstall, it leaves 3rd party files on the system?Thanks

Hi Everyone: I know this subject has been on here before and is probably old hat to most of you, but does anyone know the file name or location of the file that changes all the default Airline names to real ones? Has anyone had trouble accessing this program lately or maybe it's just my computer. What happens to me is it says it is "reading voicepack" but doesn't quit reading until I have to reboot my computer. Recently discovered by the inhabitants of the planet Flightsim where I have been visiting is the pathway to the anti world "Earth Minus"(home of anti gravity,anti matter and my auntie Mary). I was wondering how hard it would be to make a small application that would randomize a destination. I like to fly corporate jets mostly, but I'm not that good at thinking of new places to go. People familiar with the corporate and charter business know that you can go anywhere at anytime.I was thinking of a small application that had all of the FS9 airport database included. Options for maximum distance and runway length would be nice. Would it take long to put something together like this? I'm not a programmer, but I know plenty of you here are.Just a suggestion if one of you fine programmers are bored. :)Thanks.Craig

hiI have been getting this error message since I first installed FS2004 on my computer.I have Windows XP Pro and my account is set up as an administrator account. FS9 also starts normally after I press the OK button and sceneries install normally.The message really is just an annoyance and slowing the startup of FS9. Anyone else have had this problem ? This has occured every time I start FS9 and ha been there since I bought and installed the sim for the first time.any help appreceated
