Can you set FS2004 to go below 100m visibility ?Look at the slider, it won't go any further.I had a METAR the other day that had 0050 (50 meters) and visibility would not change to that lower value.(If you have FSMeteo6.4) Go to LGAV and load FSMeteo6.4 offline weather report 04032104 and please tell me if you get the same problem.I attach my VIS settings. Guys, I was looking at my logbook file today, and have over the last 2 years about 1300 hours of logged time. Most of my flights last about an hour or so, though I have a good number of 2-3 hour regional and national airline flights. Rarely do I do the intercontinental flights. I just dont have the time. But in looking at my logbook, (which I subsequently pulled into excel so I could sort it), I notedone thing...I've flown all over this blue marble of ours, but not much time in Africa. Eygpt on the way to somewhere else...sure. Johannesburg same thing. However theres a VAST continent that I seem to have skipped. Is there no good scenery of the Serengeti? Kilim…

Hi,in a FS2002 addon scenery I use in FS 2004 (Flylogic scenery LSZH Zurich/Switzerland), the grass textures of the default scenery are blurring through the apron textures of the addon scenery at certain view angles, combined with a kind of flickering on and off.I guess this can be cured by an exclude or flatten file, but I'm not sure and I don't know how to do it. I tried several tools (e.g. ExcludeBuilder, FS Scenery Creator) but I got none of them to work as they are supposed to.Would be great if someone could help me.Thanks in advance.

I made a couple of updates to Erick's aircraft.cfg file for the 737-200 to fix the nose down problem we all were seeing when the aircraft was sitting on the ground... How is everyone making out with Manhattan Scenery (as far as framerates go) I have been thinking of purchasing it, but do not want to invest $35.00 and find out my system is to slow to handel it. I am running a PIV 2.53 with 1gig of PC2100 DDR memory and a TI 4200 video card.Thanks Chuck:)

I just started using FSMeteo and am impressed by the wealth of info it downloads and prints out. I can make out some of the info but the rest I can't. I've always had the annoying problem of Fs9 coming up with the "Fs9 has encountered a problem and needs to close" message when I quit. It's annoying because some settings are not retained such as keyboard assignments or frame rate settings. If I click the error report the multiplayer.dll file is implicated after ModName. I've searched the forum and there are some old threads about this but no solution. I've tried extracting the multiplayer.dll file from the CDs but this makes no difference. I don't really want to reinstall as it is something I can live with, but if anyone has an easy solution I'd be grateful. I have lots of addons, PMDG, Dreamfleet, ActiveSky, etc, etc. J…

HiOften when approaching airports to make an ILS landing, the airport although listing ILS freq,. for both ends of the proposed runway, I find when I select the approach my aircraft wants to adopt a BC and proceeds to turn 180. Any ideas to solve this annoying problem?thanksBob Wright

I want to use airspeed as a display variable in FSDS2. I have searched this forum (and others) and have seen it talked about a great deal, but have not seen a definitive answer. Can someone shed some light on this please. I have even used 1 to 16384 and the part remains invisible. Also,How can I add a pre-process display condition in FSDS2? I want to add cabin lights to the variable display preset list. I see an xml file FsConstants.xml giving, for example, 0x0100. Is it a question of adding 0xxxx with the correct xxx number? Hi simmers,Maybe a stupid question, but I could not find an answer to the following question in a search on the forum. It's about AI. I use FS2K2 and Activesky. Due to pressure changes I hear ATC cancel flightplans from AI because they are above or below their assigned altitude. Is this fixable? Can AI also change to the correct altitude compared to the pressure?Thanx,

Hello,I've just started getting a problem with FS9. When in the cockpit, of any aircraft, the 2D panel will not display. The area where it should be remains black, but if you move the mouse over that area, the tool tip style label comes up indicating what instrument you are hovering over.If I push the hat switch to the left or right, I see the left or right side of the interior of the cockpit and the view through the windows as I should do, just the main panel when looking stariaght ahead is not there.I've done 2 re-installs and this did not solve the problem.Can anyone offer me any help? I've just got a new graphics card and would like to try it out.thanksAd

Hey all,I wonder if there is a stellar programmer out there that can make a third party add on that would delete AI traffic on final or properly space them since we can't do anything about the speed as of now. Perhaps this will be released in an SDK in the future, but with the TrafficToolbox SDK from Microsoft, I see you can delete certain aircraft if they're in your way. Looks like we're one step closer to better AI, but not quite there. Just a thought, perhaps someone can create it, Lee Swordy perhaps?EricArea51Intel

I've now got at big problem: FS2004 can't start!Every time I push the FS2004 icon on my desktop, the only thing that happens, is that I see the startup screen (The one with the DC-3). After a few seconds the program crashes and the only thing to do is to push CTRL+ALT+DEL.I've tried to reinstall FS2004 3 times, but with no luck.Do anyone have a good solution for the problem?

I am unable to get FS to start in a default flight. It starts at the main create-a-flight screen no matter what. I've tried various things. I seem to recall a check box in earlier FS versions that controlled what you saw on start up, but can't find anything of that nature. Anyone have an idea,I'm stumped.Matt Collins
