Hi all.A warning about using the California Mesh by John Wardle, recently uploaded to the AVSIM Library:This mesh will destroy ( flatten ) some areas of your sim's terrain. It also contains serious spikes and pits, as can be confirmed by using TMFViewer.I have not checked his other mesh uploads, but I suspect they are also poor in quality.It's really hard to understand why this author would upload this. Justin Tyme has uploaded a far superior mesh set for the western US, that does not suffer from these problems ( based on the better NED data set ). Hi,I was hoping someone might be able to give some advice about navigation 'on the fly' in FS2002.I want to be able to call up a 'map' in the cockpit, scroll around the map, point and click to add a waypoint (or maybe a few) so that it gives me a heading to follow to my chosen destination. I'm not sure, but I think these are referred to as 'custom waypoints'.As far as I can tell the default GPS in FS2002 cannot do this. I don't really want to get involved in pre-flight planning, I just want to get up into the air and explore, with a bit of control over where I'm headed.Does anyone know if there is an add-on GPS/map/flight planner utility(hopefully a free one :-) ) that…

Hello,we are actually working on a new Tupolev Tu-134. We will release simultaneously four versions of this legendary aircraft: Tu-134-1 (the first version with breaking parachute), Tu-134A (the most produced), Tu-134B (the second most produced) and Tu-134UBL (military navigators-training variant).Like it was with our Antonov An-24RV, we'll first release the aircrafts without virtual cockpit (but with dynamic wing views though). The full version will appear later. There is already a good panel for Tu-134. I've noticed that, when looking up ILS frequencies using the Garmin information screens, that they are missing for several addon airport sceneries (notably Garry Simmons's, Heathrow Pro). They do show under the navaids in Afcad2004 and also work, but stopping the sim to look these up is a bit unrealistic. Can these frequencies be added so that the Garmin will list them?Thanks anyone,Alan

My favorite place to fly is Orcas Island in Washington. I recently purchased the FS-ADDON scenery for that area and it's magnificent.The only complaint I have is that somebody at MS decided to put these funky Chinese Junket (sp?) looking boats in the harbor in the default scenery. Having lived in Seattle, I happen to know there aren't a lot of these types of boats in that area....lol. They really detract from the realism of the scenery.I guess I could use an exculsion area using FS Scenery Creator, or is there another way to delete them. Maybe someone knows a way to change them to the default sail boats.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Dave

I have noticed that on my system the taxiway signs are killing my performance. My specs are as follows: P4 3.2GHz, 1GB RAM, and a Radeon 9800XT. When I am at LAX with Ultimate traffic set to 65% I get around 65fps with out the taxiway signs. As soon as I adjust the scenery to show the taxiway signs my fps drop to around 24fps. This would not be a big deal to me if the sim still was able to run smooth, but it really starts to jerk and stutter. Does anyone know the folder name that contains the taxiway signs, and what is the name of the file for the signs?Thank YouRegan

Hi guys!Can anyone tell me how can i remove the petrol station in the middle of the airports?

I was running FS9 without any video problems when something odd happened. Lately I get white lines and small rectangles or other white shapes in the terrain. These white shapes go away as I get closer to the area. But they are noticable (and annoying) when flying because they stand out. I'm using FSGenesis 38.2 mesh and landclass. I don't think the problem has anything to do with FSGenesis though. I downloaded a mesh of Alaska from someone else and had the same problem. I have a ATI Radeon 9800XT with the 3.10 drivers. I uninstalled and installed the 3.10 Omega drivers but this didn't help. I've reinstalled FS9 several times without this fixing the problem. As soon as I a…
