First, note that I do have a CH Yoke. Many flight simmers seem to think that a yoke is the only realistic type of controller for flightsims. This is not the case. The Yoke is of course incredible for aircraft that feature a yoke in real life - anything from the C172 to the 747. However, many airplanes feature a stick in real life, so, a joystick is more realistic to use for these aircraft.I brought this up in the DA20 thread but I thought I'd start a new thread to get some more input.I'm using a Logitech Strike Force 3D stick. Hi all,I seem to be victim of a rather exotic FS9 bug - can't hear any ATIS at any airport even though frequencies are properly adjusted.Likewise I won't get an approach instruction from ATC although all other ATC seems to work. The first call I get on approach is "Did you copy?" and when I repeat (or ask controller to repeat) I still get no message. Even if I pick the option "Ask for other approach" I hear nothing.Does anybody else experience this bug? It makes the whole concept of IFR a bit ridiculous if you don't get ATIS or approach control...Best, Sascha:-erks

Hi,I have been searching for a long time to find a 737-400 panel replacement, and i have found a great one:737pan.zip(can be searched for)However when i replaced the origional panel the virtual cockpit gauges had all gone!!!I can get them back by installing the old default 2d panel again, but i want to use the new one, and keep the virtual cockpit gauges.Any Ideas of how to do this?THANKSJason.I

I have been trying to register on the megascenery forums for a couple of weeks, but I have yet to get a confirmation email ... so, hopefully there are some megascenery users here who can answer a couple of questions for me....I just purchased Megascenery socal today. Hi,I notice that many people still struggle with the seasonal CTD, I used to aswell, but this fix cures it once and for all.I don't take credit for it, but people need to see that a fix is available to cure one of the most infuriating bugs in FS2004.First BACKUP your FS9terrain.cfg file. Edit your FS9terrain.cfg file. Replace all appearences of MaskClassMap=1 by MaskClassMap=0. If this does not help, replace MaskClassMap=3 by MaskClassMap=0I know many,many people are aware of this fix, but maybe curing this bug will show some people FS2004 is a very,very good piece of software.Dan. Hello all again, I figured starting a new post about the CRJ from Feelthere might be a good idea since it will grow quickly. To start things off, I think it is a big let down. Frame rates are so bad in VC mode / The guages lag way behind. You can't read them unless you zoom in, then you lose perspective. if you try to pull out alittle bit, you can't click anything. Textures are slow loading as well as poor (Blurry) in alot of areas. I am not a pilot, but I must say the manuals lack alot of info about how to fly the plane, especially the auto pilot. Let me re-phrase THEY STINK!! I hope someone at feelthere sees this, you better be ready for a ton of complaints, not to ment…

I have a number of payware and freeware aircraft that have them but I've never taken the time to figure it out. I'm assuming that once you learn one the concepts if not the actual procedures will be the same for all of them. Is there one that stands out for a FMC noobie? Hi Guys,I have been using FS9 since it came out. I have a pretty beefy system (Alienware Area 51: 3.2Ghz, 2gb RAM, Geforce FX 5900 Ultra 256, etc...). My resolution is currently set to 1280x960x32.I have been getting great framerates on all default aircraft and payware (PMDG, Dreamfleet, Eaglesoft)... 25ish FPSI have most sliders set to max, and still get great performance.My challenge and complaint about FS9 since the beginning is when using FS realweather. If there are high congregations of clouds at any altitude, my FPS drops to the mid or low teens... sometimes even lower. The farther apart the clouds are, the better. As an owner of Ultimate Traffic, I've been pleased with the real-world aircraft, schedules, and status board features. However, I'm probably more of a General Aviation buff than a commercial buff, and one of the features of MyTraffic 2.0 that caught my attention was that it gives equal consideration to commercial, general aviation, and military traffic alike. I have downloaded John Woodward DHC-2 Beaver and also the Noorduyn Norseman on floats but have not been able to get them to install and show up on FS9 aircraft. Has anyone been able to install either completely. Maybe I'm miss-reading the install instructions.Does anyone have a good float plane for bush flying.???Thanks in advanceChuck

Hello,I've been searching and searching but couldn't succeed. I'm looking for big aircrafts (similar to the big Boeings or Airbusses) that I can download for MS Flight Simulator 2004. Hi--does anyone know if there's a way (either via FS9.cfg or another method) to have the ATC engine provide your aircraft with "position and hold" instructions, as opposed to just the AI planes? It's a great enhancement to hear those instructions given to AI planes, but what about for US? It would be a big help, especially for those of us flying the relatively complex aircraft, to be able to be sequenced onto the runway right after a lander, as opposed to being made to sit holding short of the runway--until the AI plane that you waited for rolls to a stop, then takes it's merry time exiting the runway--then having to hurry onto the centerline, fire up your strobes, lan…
