Hi All,I've enjoyed flying Islands such as Tahiti, Bora Bora etc. Beautiful scenery and some very nice addons make it a great area with good framerates.Here's the mystery:My favorite islands don't show up anymore on the "Go to Airport" screen.The Islands I'm interested in all have airport codes which start with NTT (Tahiti = NTTA, Bora Bora = NTTB etc.). Nothing is listed for any airports whose airport code begins with NTT. Also, I couldn't locate any of the airports by entering their name. I did make sure that I clicked on "Any" to insure that I was searching in all countries and areas.Thanks in advance for your help.Howard

Hi everyone:DJust found a little problem while in Spot View!I find that I cannot rotate the view around using the CTRL-SHIFT Backspace, CTRL-SHIFT-Enter, etc. keys.The only way I can rotate the view around is if i press 'S' to enter Slew mode.Any info on how I can resolve this?Thanks.:-)Mark:-wave

...keep disappearing on me!I'm waiting in queue at NZAA behind a 767 behind a 737. All of a sudden the 767 disappears, and I'm looking down the hole of a 737 APU.Just in case I wasn't getting a complex, a minute later the 737 vanished!Given that waiting 10 minutes for takeoff clearance is not unusual, and given that UT is so awesome, then the problem has to be me!Please let me know what setting I've missed that I have to change to have the planes not vanish.Many thanksTim

has anyone come across a set of the recent bendix/king radios, like those in the deafult skyhawk, that would work like the real ones? e.g. different modes on kx155, kr87, etc.freeware, payware or part of payware aircraft?much appreciatedvilk

In this panel I can't get the Map vector gauge to work. I have a red cross in the map mode with no map or TCAS or waypoints. The range rings work but thats it.I use the FS flight planner to load the flightplan. It shows up in the Garmin GPS . On the IFDG forum he says there is some conflict with other gauges, but not sure which ones. Any ideas, Thanks, Bob

Hi guys,I'm experiencing a strange problem here. Since last week, my ATC is not changing frequencies correctly. I explain:Start for example at Boston. On ground everythng OK. After take-off, ATC order to change frequency to lets say Boston Departure or Bostoin Approach, and stays there, even when cruzing heading to Lajes (Azores) in the middle of Atlantic Ocean!! After 3 1/2 hours of flight, it order to start descent as normal "Santa Maria" procedure and not Boston Approach at some thousands miles away!!Only when reaching like 10000ft, it tells me to change to Lajes Approach and after that all goes normal.I don't understand, since I'm right now on another flight from EDDF…

Hi all,The latest version of the NL2000 scenery is now up at the 'other' flightsim site. Be prepared for a long wait though. The file is a massive 220Mb and the best connection speed I can get is 3.6k/s which equates to a download time of 20 hours! One of the reasons I hate downloading from them.Any chance that Avsim will be hosting the file in the near future?If so then I'll wait.CheersKieran

Some time back (maybe a few weeks ago) I went to play flight sim, yet again, and for reasons beyond my comprehension I had suddenly lost the ability to see my main panel (on any aircraft) in the standard 2D view mode. Further experimentation showed that I cannot see the panel in the 2D mode when the game is in:1. Full Screen view2. When in Windowed view, but ONLY when the window is NOT maximized.I can see the panel just fine when in windowed mode and maximized.I have tried everything within my grasp to resolve this, but to no avail. How about new BAE 146 Version 3 from Matthias Lieberecht with John Murchiesons aircraft.Incredible detail, panel, and altogether a wonderful package.Small probs are around, but nothing as far as I can see, that precludes a total experience from Spool up to landing. (assuming I can get the 146 to start its 4 engines, and the correct APU, and the right air con, with the batteries connected properly, with the.......)Yeah, easy learning curve NOT! Sleepless nights await! Do NOT expect to Jump in and Fly!Incidently...its, dare I say it...FREE!Congratulations to them both for keeping the spirit of Fs alive and beautifully functioning!I am in AWE!!Well done.

After a week or two of normal operation, FS9 would hang in the splash screen. Rebooting, waiting till next day, trying different sequence of operation, etc. all ended up with same symptom.I saved a copy of my FS9.cfg and removed it.I removed all the .DAT files in the scenery subfolders.Starting up FS9 after that recreates the scenery indexes, and recreates the fs9.cfg file... and then just had to readjust all the sliders, etc. to my favorite positions, and away it went back to normal.Art

Hi,I, like many others I imagine, have noticed the price increase in payware over the last months, now I totally understand that as time goes on the addons become more and more complex, thus increasing the amount of time need to create these addons, hence the price increasing.What I am finding a little hard now is that there is no way to "test" out these addons before I buy them, if the addon is only a few pounds I can prehaps take the risk, but take the Feelthere CRJ, now I am not picking on them personally I am just using it as an example.To me Feelthere are an unknown quantity, there addon looks very nice, and I would like to buy it, BUT, at $35 can I, and many others,…

In the 737NG, I enter the flight plan in the FMC. At 1,000 feet I turn on the autopilot and the Lnav and Vnav buttons. The plane will then fly the flight plan course, and climb automatically to the cruise altitude entered in the flight plan in the FMC. However, when the plane reaches the desend point, TD on the map, it wil NOT descend automatically. I must enter the lower altitude in the autopilot.Is the plane supposed to descend automatically based on the altitude entered in the FMC flight plan? If yes, how is this done?Thanks.Stanner

I've just upgraded my computer to an Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz processor. I now have 1.5GB DDR RAM as well as an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB. Now, I'm led to believe that this is a pretty good system. Yet in Flight Sim 9, when I'm in the cessna at San Diego, the maximum fps I get is 30. And this is with all the scenery set to minimum, as well as all the filtering and mipmapping turned down really low. I've tried renaming the autogen file, I've tried loading Windows in a 'clean boot' mode to disable all the background tasks, I've tried the fps fix, I've tried upgrading all the drivers, I've onlu just re-formatted the hard drive, and none of it seems to work.I was expecting afte…

Hello,I am new to the CRJ (WILCO). I read the manual and tried the test flight. I have a few glaring problems.1. On my first few flights, while I am at altitude (say (FL100)the aircraft goes into a stall - just starts to fall out of the sky. It is always under Autopilot control when it happens. It just goes nose up and stalls. I'm sure that I am doing something wrong here but I don't know what it is. (PITOT is on)2. I don't seem to get "Speed" control via the autopilot when I engage it. I don't see an A/T engage - just a button on the AP for SPEED. I enter the speed and press the button but to no avail - Again, probably something I'm missing here! The HDG and ALT work fin…
