April 13, 200422 yr Whenever I shift-Z to read my frame rate, the frame rate counter fluctuates so much I can't determine what the actual frame rate is.I use Ken Salter's FS9 Configurator and select the option to read the average frame rate but I still can't interpret the rate. What do the numbers indicate when I select this option and how do I know what the actual frame rate is? Thanks for any clarification.Jim
April 13, 200422 yr It is going to fluctuate a lot. There will not be one magic number. For example, if you fly to Chicago O'Hare and look at a terminal with a lot of AI traffic, your FPS number is going to be a lot lower than if you are cruising at 35,000 feet. Don't get hung up on the numbers, turn it off, and just see if the sim is smooth or not. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
April 13, 200422 yr Author The average frame rate display measures the fps over a period of time (I think it's 30s or so), and is displayed as follows (from left to right): lowest, average, highest, fluctuation (in %).Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
