Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

With fair skies set, I can't get the TBM 930 or the C152 to fly smoothly like they used to. They fly like they are bounced around by wind gusts. This started after one of the updates. On all the videos on youtube these planes fly very smooth. I'm using Thrustmaster Warthog controllers. They work perfect in P3D and Xplane. Help appreciated.

I've done about 5-7 flights so far in the CRJ and had this happen yesterday for the first time while on Vatsim. I did a Toga take off and after i cleaned up the flaps, put the throttle in the climb detent. During the entire climb regardless if i was in speed mode, V/S or VNAV, the plane would pitch up 20-30 degrees and i would lose speed. I was trying to get to FL260 and by the time it got there, the plane kept pitching up and I'd lose speed, even with max thrust. I figure this is an Asobo issue or something because I know there are some default AP issues. Just wondering if anyone else has had this. We all know now how to circumvent the LW bug by entering with Clear Skies and calling LW within the sim. It works most of the time but is not entirely satisfying. These are the User Interface improvements I'd very much welcome : - The LW settings table which is greyed out, should recapitulate the weather parameters. When there is no ATIS or windsock, there is no way to know anything except the atmospheric pressure with the B key and the wind direction/strength if you fly with a Garmin. - The LW should be editable. I started to get CTS's and Breakpoint errors before loading to airport was complete yesterday. Thought it was a mod. So I removed one mod at a time, same errors sometimes it would load and fly not very often though. I finally went down to just the C208 with nothing in community folder. Same Errors. I'm thinking what did I change DCS worked great, not the new video drivers. Then I realized that I was going thru Windows performance Sat night and noticed I had a 48gb custom paging file. I removed the swap drive and left it at No Paging file. I never swap mem to hard drive with 32gb memory so I thought this was ok Changed back to System Managed Size rebooted an…

Finally gave up on the steam version and went to the Microsoft version. I am running FSUIPC and everything seems to calibrate in both the Sim and on FSUIPC for throttles. On the CRJ my throttle jumps from Idle to full max and I cannot get to stop. Any ideas?

So we have been hearing this anecdotally from individual 3rd party developers that they have been expanding their teams developing for MSFS. But this is the first time that Asobo/Microsoft have confirmed that 3rd party developers are expanding their teams for their MSFS projects: What's interesting is that Aerosoft pointed out last year that the money is in MSFS now and that the money in P3D dried up: If you put this information together, it seems like the 3rd party developers are shifting their resources to MSFS products, away from the other simulators. Is it possible to have fully transparant windows in the cockpit or 'remove' them ? I find that world outside is too dark at times (when cloudy/ overcast) and the coated windows even darken that view further, When moving the viewpoint outside the cockpit it is brighter

I updated to the new patch for the PA44 in content manager using Steam. It downloaded ok but hung up during the uncompressed phase. I cancelled out and logged off Steam and went back on. When I Started Fs 2020 back up my Pa 44 was missing from my plane list. It said that I owned it and updated it but cannot find it anywhere. I checked the content manager and it said the same thing. How can I re-download it or get it to reappear in fs 2020.Thanks.... Al

My sim always starts with A Few Clouds, and I have to constantly change it to Live Weather or Clear Sky. How do I change it so that it will initially load as Clear Skies ?

Hi, anyone experienced a problem with the Bravo Quad Landing Gear. I can't seem to program it in MSFS. Everything else assigns without a problem, except for the landing gear. I'm assigning it correctly and it shows as assigned in MSFS, however, when I go to fly, it's totally unresponsive, and the three green/red indicator lights don't even light up. I've tried over & over and in different ways without any luck. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Mario

Hello, I had a strange issue today that I haven't seen yet in the CRJ. The aircraft started descending on it's own, vertical mode was PATH, and my attempts to stop the descent by entering VS mode did nothing. The aircraft did not enter VS mode and just stayed in PATH mode. Any thoughts? I'm wondering if this is a bug or if I somehow screwed something up. I haven't seen this behaviour in the previous 6 successful flights that I've had.

Looks like those of us using displayport screen connection are having issues to see rain drops on the windshield (which are almost lacking). Well, someone on the forums has discovered that using a HDMI connection, the effect comes back. In case any of you have the same issue, worth a try. several users reported problems during latest update of Carenado's PA-44 (I think it got updated to 1.5 or 1.51), download worked fine but hangs during decompression. the procedure should work for any similar issues with content manager downloads. thanks go to united001 !

Hi all. Ordinarily, I prefer low and slow GA aircraft. However, because I fly in VR, I’m having to use reprojection to bolster frame rates and the propeller artefacts that this causes are terrible, and a real distraction. I find myself trying to look anywhere but forward at the broken, kaleidoscope view. I cannot fly like this anymore. I’ve tried to use the propeller mod but, for whatever reason, MSFS is refusing to integrate it into the sim. So that leaves me with the only option left is to lose the prop. So, jets......... Looking for the best, small jet. Either freeware or payware. Needs to be fairly fps friendly, with a great flight model, and pleasing …

Anyone else seeing this, load up the RY Bonanza Mod using WT G1000 - turn on power and the PFD is dead - just blank nothing? The RY Mod and the WT G1000 have not been updated for a while so I'm running latest versions, wonder if its something do with the new patch??

Hi guys! I’m in the market for a new monitor. I have someone local offering a LG 27" 4k IPS freesync monitor 27ul600 for $250. Seems like an awesome deal but I’ve been specifically looking for a 2K monitor since I am more interested in frames and smoothness than 4K. My pc specs are i7-9700k @4.9Ghz, 32GB RAM, GTX1080ti. Will running the sim at 2k resolution on a 4K monitor look bad? Right now I’m running the rendering scale at 130 on a 23” 1080p monitor. Also I tried moving this to the hardware forum...

Hello, I have noticed that I have blurry textures from >FL 300. Here is the example: https://imgur.com/a/ndpFZuD I have decent PC: i7 10700k, 1080Ti, 32GB RAM, 4k monitor, 1GB Internet Speed. I am not using rolling cache. I am having steady FPS with GPU utilisation at ~100% and CPU at ~20-30%. What can cause the problem? Best, Arek

Guys...would anyone have a link to a website/s where I can caught up on the latest updates and availability for some of my old 3rd party community mods such as for taxi lighting on certain planes, GPS and cockpit lighting mods, rob youngs bonanza mod, any other flight dynamic mods that may have been released/updated, etc. Dunno if there's one website to find this stuff and to help me keep track of all of it, but I've been away for 6 months and i have no way of knowing what 3rd party stuff has been updated or new stuff which has been released and for which version of the sim it is all compatible with.
