Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

If you look at the console, once those stutters starting there is some errors named: "overwrite taxi name at LKMR"(ICAO changes as airports loading). I got about 10 of these with different ICAO. Any idea what is it ?

Now that MSFS has "baked in" for awhile and tweaks and mods went from experimental, to "mainstream" I have to say I am not a fan whatsoever of the Google Earth imports It seems as though almost anyone doing these has no concept of optimization, or color correction. More importantly optimization. Even the simplest of objects tend to stutter the heck out of the sim. How is it this far into 3rd party mods has Google Earth imports not improved at all? I'm a Philadelphia guy. There is a package for every bridge crossing the Delaware river, Center City, and various points of interests and they make it completely non-enjoyably because the performance hit is intolerable. …

Anyone notice ATC routinely clears takeoff/landing the opposite of the way the field wind socks are blowing? Disclaimer: this is not new to FS2020.

Some bugs, such as the notorious peripheral bug last fall that caused people to CTD at the menu screen if they had a certain peripheral plugged in have made the game unplayable after a patch is released. After the last Sim Update 3, it was the FPS bug that made it unplayable for many people until the hotfix came in. After the latest update I now have the TBM 930 Improvement Mod switching between power and Idle while on auto pilot. This happened before month's ago but was corrected . It came back today after the first flight after the patch.. Anyone have an idea what could cause that and how it can be corrected? Thank you. Rolf

Last night I flew out of Groton New London. The METAR was for 1 mile visibility. I had brilliant sunny skies. My previous flight (into Groton) the weather was challenging but selected the METAR accurately. Has the hot fix busted the weather?

So I've flown 130+ hours in the A320 all ILS all using my Saitek Yoke system most using the A320NX mode. I thought I'd start to play with RNAV approach. I've tried NZRO-NZAA (short hop) NZRO/36 NIKOR2R KAMLA then with a RNAV23LS approach. My plan and map all show a correct path into NZAA. When I get to the weigh point before my approach the plane heads direct for NZAA. I try disconnect AP and reconnect. Try direct to next weigh point in MCDU nothing works. The moved to ILS23 at NZAA same happened. Tried on my Logitech Attrack 3 joystick but have moved back to my yoke Megapack liveries, NZRO, NZAA,NZCH freeware scenery installed. De…

Hey all. I run my sim at 60FPS, no questions asked, so the following will not be solved by saying "turn on Vsync and drop to 30FPS". I'm happy to turn things down and fly default AC to get better frames. I don't get any immersion by flying a study level PMDG around at 20FPS. I'm having some weird behavior with the default A320 though. Departing Schiphol, pretty much silky smooth at 60 FPS, coming into Naples having initiated the descent, struggling to get above 20FPS. Guys, This is something to check. No promise this is the Issue for you. But this is my story. After this update I did yesterday, My FPS dropped to like 15FPS when I initially had around 30 FPS. It was stutter. Almost like Pause and go every 30 second. It was unflyable. Even at the initial start up screen, my FPS was showing 15FPS? I have the Intel's fastest CPU 10 core CPU. I recall downloading this mod some time ago and did use it, really nice. But now I just updated it after many months and completed a short flight, I am blown away. This is really incredible and very very well done. A big thanks to the team. Just the work in the MANUAL alone is phenomenal. Just had to say it.

I am building a new PC that will be under a new account than what my current PC is on. I was wondering if you can move msfs 2020 to the newer PC on a different account?

I have been going through BobbyFuzzy's tutorials (very good). I go through them one at a time and save after each. To be used the next day. I have found that the aircraft state from the previous day was not saved. This became a more serious problem. When I started to enter the flight plan. So am I missing something. Is this a known problem with FS2020 or with the CRJ? Thank You Bill McCracken
