Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

In an Era of VR, I miss my good old 2d panels, those that still make me LOVE Aerowinx PSX, ELITE and some excellent FSX / P3D and X-Plane add-ons where I can opt for using 2d panels. I have great difficulty moving around in the cockpit and trying to read the instruments - not practical at all. Yes, I know you're going to suggest VR, but I'm not ready, in various aspects, for it :-/

Hello, 2 questions from a newbie : 1) Since a couple of time, my weather setting can't be activated in flight (no clickable in the menu). Why ? 2) Where is the menu for multi-players setting ? Hi! Is it possible to edit some file, cfg or something...so opening the window in flight (because the sound is great) doesn't register as a crash?

Hello, I need your help with two things. 1. I am currently flying with the C172. If I just bump the mouse against the left-right edge or move it up and down in the cockpit, I keep shifting the view back and forth. That makes me really edgy. Unfortunately I don't know how to delete it. 2. A320 FBW I update the different versions of the FBW no matter how and what, I always have the old Flypad with the menu above. A new installation did not help either. My booth is v.0.6.3 and MSFS2020 v 1.18.15.0. At the moment I just keep flying the p3dv4.5. Maybe someone has some advice in store. Thank you CFG874 Bernd

Hello, After installing WU5 and both Hot fixes. One good thing for me is that I have no issue with Ultra settings up to this point it does stay. As I observed, I dont have to redo everytime. The part that I'm having issue is with A32NX stable and A32NX Development mod. I did download their latest updated model after WU5. But for both mods engine #2 will start normal, but engine #1 wont. has anyone encounter this same issue??

Hi all What do you think is a good landing? Is it 100fpm touchdown or perhaps 50 fpm for a smooth landing? Is it different for a heavy 747 compared to a 737 or a CJ4? What do you think?

I had the weirdest thing happen to me yesterday: On a flight yesterday afternoon (8/16) I was doing a flight from Nantucket MA to Quonset RI in the Bonanza with real weather and real AI. It was a pleasant flight with light winds (5-7 knots) and light clouds. The flight progressed smoothly at about 3000 ft. I was given pattern entry downwind left traffic RWY 16. I entered the pattern and when I was at an altitude of about 1000-500 ft. all of a sudden the sea graphic change abruptly from glass smooth to dark gray with whitecaps. It just popped in. I flew base leg and on final I noticed that winds where at 67 knots! I don't remember the exact compass heading they wher…

Finally go the dev version to work with now flickering but Exec button on FMS?

First I don't think this is a problem with Honeycomb. I have the throttle since it came out. No problems till after the last update. In the Controls Options under the Bravo Throttle Quadrant. I setup a configuration for a Complex Single, Complex Twin, 2 Engine Jet, 4 Engine Jet and TBM 930. These were setup and working before 1.18.15.0. After the update the configurations don't work. I reset them works fine till I close the sim and load it again. Then they are messed up again. I read somewhere the others were having similar problems. The axis are the problem. So is there a known problem? Is there a work around? Is there now a certain way to select a aircraft then have to …

Well, i used to be a hardcore P3D and FSL guy but i must say that after SU5 with the FBW320 and those amazing graphics i can't go back to P3D anymore. I bought so many stuff for P3D and it hurts but honestly i can't fire it up. MSFS2020 is so amazing and it is maturing every month and all thos great addons. There are a lot of folks that want a level of realism, whether it be Control’s, switch boxes, picking up the Garmin boxes from a maker like RSG, or anything else. $50.00 US from Aerosoft. I have about 10 hours in it (ver 1.06). I’ve been flying a test route I use for all of my MSFS 2020 planes. I have learned so far that: * The aircraft demands precision * If you fall behind it will quickly punish you * If you keep up or better yet...stay ahead of the aircraft it is an absolute joy to fly. All aspects: departure, cruise, and arrival / landing. For me the aircraft performs crisply, looks stunning and again for me and me only...it is the best $50.00 I have spent for any plane in a sim for a long, long while. YMMV, -B

I know there are some people here who are really knowledgeable about GPUs, drivers and graphics config, so, as someone who uses a 1920x1080 monitor, I wanted to ask, what is best in terms of performance between; Using DSR in the Nvidia Control panel, to set a higher resolution, let's say 2304x1296 (1.2), with no change to render scaling in MSFS, and Not using DSR (keeping resolution at 1920x1080), and using Render Scaling to set the same render resolution, of say 2304x1296 (1.2) ? Of course, I can test this in MSFS 🙂 - I am just wondering if anyone has any technical knowledge as to why one would be better than the other, in terms of performance …

Since the last update the menu toolbar opens when I move my mouse from my left view client to the server. Already I disabled all features in it, but 2 remain. Is there a way to disable this toolbar entirely? Thanks in advance, Gerard

The windgusts are gone in the simulator since su4 and the bug has few votes and needs to get higher votes because it’s a much needed feature in my opinion because it’s a simulator and the gust makes the flying more unpredicted and challanging. I use the development version of the A320nx. I plan a flight using SimBrief and it gets loaded into the FMS computer. For example Reno KRNO to Salt Lake City KSLC. Shortly after takeoff the AiCopilot request a change in the destination to KSLC! But that was the original destination? Has anyone seen this ? Jim
