Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

So my main gripe with that update, that I generally like for its performance gains, is the blurry / low res ground textures from high above. It was always a bit blurry, but at least right beneath my plane it used to look sharp. Now it looks like this: https://pasteboard.co/KdxhNCD.png This is east coast USA, mind you. I have no other problems (except for the brightness, as you can see...) with textures or anything, so is this only on my end, is this a server issue, or another massive downgrade for airline pilots? Greetings all, In July, I will billed $54.81 for something called: Microsoft Flight Simulator - 204 FlightSim Credits:Microsoft Flight Simulator Is there a yearly charge for MSFS? it was set as an "automatic payment". I purchased MSFS 2020 Premium Deluxe edition in August of 2020. I might have missed something for forgot about a recurrent charge. This was about the time the X-Box version came out. I don't have X-box. Also, I can't update MSFS 2020 through the Microsoft Store. The Store is showing me that I'm up-to-date on all products. Thanks for your help! Rich Boll

Hello, i noticed that the ingame VFR map is replaced by the GTN750 Display...is there a way to install the GTN750 but keep the native ingame map?

I search the Web quite often to see if some clever person has worked out the relation between MSFS Zoom level and FOV. Not found anything new - has anyone worked this out?

Does the scaling in the virtual cockpit of the Blackbox BN2 look small in virtual reality to you guys or could it be my set-up? The gauges and knobs look really small to me. LouP

Hey, I have a problem with A32NX. When I'm on autopilot in some momment plane stops gaing height/descent. Here's video. Does anyone know how to fix that?

1. If after selecting a departure and destination on the World Map page I set up custom weather, what location is that custom weather for, and how large an area does it apply to? 2. I set the weather to Overcast, and the cloud Coverage slider to 100, the next cloud slider is the Scatter slider. What is the purpose of the Scatter slider if the weather is 100% overcast? Would seem to me you just need one cloud 'coverage' slider that goes from lightly scattered to completely overcast. Thx, Al

Greetings all: I own MSFS (steam) and recently purchased the JU 52 in the Marketplace via Steam. The aircraft has never appeared as an option in the sim and is still listed as available to buy. I have rebooted and signed in and out of Xbox and Steam to no avail. I put in a ticket at Zendesk and have had no response. Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thank you. Lon Duncombe

Hi guys! I have a 4K monitor, with a rtx2070 super. So, my question is: Is it better to play in 4k with render scaling at 70 (at 100 there is already a big fps drop. With 70 I can play very nice with ultra settings), or is it preferable to play at 2k with 100 render scaling? Thanks.

I am 85 years old and have had every version of MSFS since the first one, as well as several other titles. Back in the early days I used to wish that someday this sim would be like the world really is, instead of leaving so much to my imagination. Well now we have it.. Some day after I'm gone, maybe we could land at an airport. Rent a car. The drive around explore the town with something like Google Street View.. But for now what we have is awesome. I am not a yoke person, but I kind of like the looks of this new Yoke Thrustmaster and Boeing came up with. It doesn't look like it takes up half your PC desk, like some other yokes do, and should work well with Boeing Aircraft as well as some GA aircraft,

All avionics is off and not usable even in steam gauge planes (e.g. Waco, ah SPITFIRE, ah Electra). Clicking switch moves the switch but has no other effect in the sim. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? I have, of course, rebooted the sim and the computer several times, nothing has been added or changed since yesterday when everything worked fine. It seems that every time I boot up MSFS, it is a tossup (50/50) as to whether I will be enjoying a flight or discovering "today's issue"--in other words, whether i will be using the sim or spending at least a few hours of my flight time on the forums trying to find a solution to something basic (like avionics) that…

Been away from MSFS all summer and updated everything this past week. Went to fly the TBM, used esc key to adjust some settings, the went to resume flight only to have the engine shut off. I recall this before but thought it was fixed? Anyone else with this issue? TIA

Sometimes when I'm landing at a demanding airport under difficult conditions I want to repeat this landing several times. Is there a possibility to do this w/o repeating the whole flight? The save flight options are very poor to say it in nice words. Is there another method for just exercising landing approaches?

I have read about certain circumstances where aircraft appear to loose speed when flying across clouds. Decided to test, using a scattered sky preset, the default c172 with AP Hdg + Alt modes, and observing any variations in speed. From 95 knot IAS speed drops easily to 90, 88... and RPM drops too while crossing a cloud. The longer the permanence, the wider the drop, although I haven't determined the max drop by setting, for instance, a broken preset, and making sure I stay within the cloud as long as possible. In my tests there was no icing occuring.

How can i dissable a plane that i don’t wanna msfs use it like AI/real traffic? i have edited his aircraft.cfg and have changed the value to 0 instead of 1 but still appear like traffic. have generic traffic ON too other planes like captain777 doesn’t appear like traffic and have the value 1 in his aircraft.cfg thanks

I had flying VFR from Paris to Normandy (Toussus LFPT to Deauville LFRG), a 1+ hour flight in the C172 classic (no Garmin). Everything was going fine until I had an electrical failure a few minutes before landing. Fortunately the airport was in sight and I could land safely, without any light and any radio. Nevertheless, I was surprising because I checked my settings and NO failure was enabled. I double checked everything in the aircraft and it was fine: battery and alternator were ON, the key was on BOTH and avionics were ON. Hello Gang! Ever since the update before last, I lost all my AI aircraft lights. I kind of learned to live with the issue since it was introduced and kind of hoping Asobo does the right thing and fix them, but now I'm seeing some threads talking about "how the AI lights are back". I've done several test flights to test whether the AI aircraft now show their lights and they still don't........at least in my system. Can several of you validate whether this has indeed been fixed by Asobo or if it's still an issue? If it is still indeed an issue, I'm not sure how some people are claiming it's fixed. Very confusing!!! Thanks!
