Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have the latest version of the FBW A320 installed. When I go to init req the flight plan from simbrief it loads the departure and arrival airport but nothing in between, when selecting KSFO for example - there are no SIDS or STARS to select, the pages are blank. I haven't come across this issue before and it is also an issue with the A330-900neo I just downloaded so maybe it has something to do with MSFS?

On my 4th flight since the hotfix. First two were in the WT CJ4. No add-ons enabled except this and FB KDEN. One ended in CTD after 1 to 1.5 hours heading from JFK to Atlanta. Second flight same course ended in frozen sim maybe 45 minutes in. Third flight in stock 787 on same course did not lock up after an hour. Trying a longer flight in the 787 to confirm it was the CJ4.

Something I tried today with some nice results that I'm hoping are not Imaginary. Within Addon Linker, under the TOOLS dropdown, you will find 2 options relevant to this thread. In the LWR Menu on the MFD, I can scroll between Rose,Arc Ppos etc but cannot select by pressing "Push Select". Has something change lately?

Hi all, I've been using P3D in the last few years (in the buisness since FS 5.1). Before transitioning to MSFS (was waiting for complex aircraft as that is what I fly/ IFR) I have a few questions and would appreciate your answers - 1. If I run P3D v5 smoothly can I assume with the same details and graphic settings I will achieve the same in MSFS? 2. Is the deluxe premium version worth it if I'm only looking for the tailored made airports (not aircraft)? 3. Hi There, New member here and I was just wondering if someone could please help me with what I am sure is a simple fix. I am using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2021 and whenever I go to take-off on a short runway in the Airbus A320Neo just before I reach 120 knots the throttles automatically disengage. This happens with the Auto Throttles set to on or off. Its also happens weather I have the throttles set to TOGA or Thrust CL. I have tried doing some research on line but cant find what I am doing wrong. Thanks for any help. melmat

Once more it seems MSFS2020 is attempting to gaslight me 😛 . After much trail and error I've finally discovered the culprite this time: pressing left shift + a key activates the correct command, but ALSO just the key itself. For example I have keys: Z -> disable autopilot LShft+Z -> increase sim speed When pressing LShft+Z the sim speed increases AND the autopilot is disabled. It goes without saying that this is incorrect behavior. Another example: F -> flaps down 1 notch LShft+F -> flaps up 1 notch When pressing LShft+F nothing happens, because the two key commands cancel each other out. Has anyone else run into this huge issue? Thanks!

I apologize if this was addressed somewhere else, but I noticed recently that there are now pay-ware items listed on Flightsim.to. Not sure if it is my settings, but if not is this by design and will it continue? Cheers, Pete

Try to start the game after a while> A New Mandatory Update is available. Please Update Microsoft Flight Simulator in Microsoft Store before launching-------- the Only option after is to hit OK and it takes you to the App Store and downloads you click updates but nothing happens. Why it has to be like this? WHY??

I have great performance overall, LOD-O 400, LOD-T 300, RS120, Ultra everything, but still was getting the odd niggle taxiing around big terminals in the B787-10 HD. Anywhere from 3-5 from most spots, though it does vary. I have a Vizio SB3651-E6 soundbar connected via a "display port-to-hdmi" cable using a display port on my Gigabyte RTX 2070S. I can get 3.1 sound (left, center, right and SW) when running MSFS but no sound comes through the rear speakers. I have found VERY little information about sound systems re: MSFS. I have read that support for Dolby Atmos is native for MSFS, but my system is not Dolby Atmos compatible. I read the post titled Sound in MSFS202, but unfortunately it does not apply to my configuration. Anyone have any ideas about this and how to use non-Atmos Dolby 5.1 with MSFS with all speakers functional?

Hi all, I am still relatively new to flying and am trying to learn how I should navigate. I know I can follow roads etc with VFR but I want to learn a bit more, such as following a GPS map. For example, if I want to fly to the Isle of Scilly, it will be over sea, so I need to follow a route or use a map etc.. In FS9, there used to be the default GPS where you could see an overlay map with your aircraft - I am not sure if this exists in MSFS? Can someone guide me as I struggle to find airfields with such detailed scenery in this game and it would be beneficial to learn some proper skills.

Hmmmmm..... I was actually looking for something else entirely when I bumped into this video. But...... Even though I've learned most of what's in here already over the last few months, there were still some things I'd missed, and I think the video itself is one of the most informative of its type I've seen. I learned a thing or two, and think this might be good for others just getting into the Big jets/A320 as well.

This has just started happening. I turn it on and 2 seconds later it turns itself off. All planes are affected. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. OK, just did some testing and as soon as I turn on Axis and Oh's the autopilot turns off. Maybe a conflict?

Greetings all: I own MSFS (steam version). I recently bought the Asobo JU 52 through the marketplace via paypal and was billed for same. Unfortunately the aircraft does not appear as owned in MSFS and is still listed as available to buy. I filed a ticket through Zendesk but have had no response. Any ideas? I assume this has probably happened to someone else. Rebooting and signing out and back in to XBox did not help. Thanks! Lon Duncombe

Strange issue now happening to me... Any add-on I install now fails to show up in the sim. My process is unchanged: Download Unzip Copy contents to "Add-ons" folder (I use Add-ons Linker) Refresh Add-ons Linker and confirm add-on is green Launch sim (usually through Add-ons Linker, but sometimes direct from sim's shortcut) When I am in the sim, the newly installed add-on doesn't appear. That so far has happened with aircraft and liveries (yet to experiment with other add-n types but I expect the same results). I have tried add-ons from flightsim.to and sim-outhouse. I have noticed that if I make a flight plan in MSFS I can save that plan as a file but I can save it in two different ways, on way saves a file with just the file name (in my case usually the Departure and Arrival ICAO codes). One way whilst the other way adds the suffix .PLN. I would be grateful if someone could explain the difference between these files and how they could/should be used. Thanking you in advance.

I have just recently installed FS2020 and, to my amazement, it seems to be running fine on my older computer with the settings at medium...Question: Where in the world did it install itself? I cannot find the "root" folders to add scenery, planes, etc...I know it is probably simple, but I need help! Thanks a lot...Steve

Anyone know of any addons that can correct or at least help with the ground handling characteristics in MSFS? Taking off or landing physics are always overdone, making them a lot less fun than the rest of the flight. There is an addon , by Illuminators called "Improved Physics Special Edition MSFS" . Does anyone have this and if so, does it help? thanks
