When I was using X-Plane, I had this great scenery editor/tool that could be used to remove static aircraft models yourself from payware airport scenery. It was a bit fiddly but at least it could be done once you learned how to do it. It was actually quite simple, just adding exclusion "zones" on top of the aircraft static models in the scenery. Now in MSFS where most of my payware airports unfortunately come with static aircraft models which is a real shame when flying online on Vatsim, I would really like to find a similar tool/method to get rid of these static models in the same way I could in X-Plane. Having a nice airport scenery sometimes cluttered with these s…

I’ve done some flying in the latest version of the WT CJ4 lately and noticed what seems like a fuel bug of sorts. On most flights (or pretty much everyone I guess) I all of a sudden notice how I have lost quite an amount of fuel. Yesterday, I flew ESMS-LOWI and on taxi out to the runway at ESMS and just before I was about to line up, I got a fuel imbalance warning. Checking the fuel, I suddenly lost about 500 kg in the left tank. I filled it up and took off. When passing FL100, I checked the fuel and now I lost about 500 kg in both tanks. I took off with about 2.2 tons of fuel and now I only had about 1 ton left (about 500 kg in each tank). In order to get to my dest…

The left GTN runs very slowly. Like low framerate. The right runs nice and smooth. Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a setting I need to change somewhere? Regards Dave.

This has happened several times now, where ground steering stops working. Sometimes it works at the beginning of a flight but doesn't work after I land. Other times it never works from the beginning. This has happened in both the Maddog and the JF 146 so far. When it stops working, the rudder pedals and tiller turn as expected, but the nose wheel does not. In experimenting I can taxi to the runway with steering working properly, fly the pattern without altering anything in the cockpit, land, and the steering is gone. I do have the nose wheel axis set, but whether I set it to the same axis as the rudder, or a different one has no effect on the problem. Bef…

The Iditarod Airforce is part of the 1,500 volunteers at the annual thousand mile dogsled race in Alaska from Anchorage to Nome. Every official checkpoint in the race has an airstrip. Bush planes fly supplies, food, people, tools, medicine, and health services for humans and for dogs. The Iditarod Airforce: http://alaskawings.com/Iditarod_Airforce.htm https://airfactsjournal.com/2020/03/flying-in-the-iditarod-air-force/ Two of the largest checkpoint airports are discounted right now in the MSFS marketplace: PAUN Unalakleet, and PAON Nome. A very good PANC Anchorage Ted Stevens International is on flightsim.to by FreakyD These smaller check…

Hi there I have the older Saitek Cessna Yoke/Pedals. These are the set they no longer produce. I have been using Spad Next whilst trying to set up both. I can get the Ailerons and elevators to work perfect. I can get the toe brakes to work perfectly also on my pedals. I am trying to get the rudder going and I have done all I can but when moving to the right or left, the pedals shudder as if they are fighting against something. I have calibrated them to no avail. If there are any Spad Next experts on here that could assist that would be great. I want to also set up my view with my hat switch on my Yoke really need help with this also as I cannot get this wor…

I'm having a problem with a bush flight. I complete the first leg and get a big message saying that the leg was completed and Checked. However, when I come back for the second leg and I load the bush flight, I'm back at the beginning. I don't get the list of legs on the right side that should show the first leg complete and allow me to start at the second leg. Am I doing something wrong or missing a step along the way?

Started up MSFS about an hour ago & it came up with a mandatory update of 3.44GB, which I let run. Then it wanted some choices made on Assistance & other queries I have not struck before. When the Sim finally loaded I went in & checked my Options & found all the Assistance Options had been reset to "Easy", & in the Control options, only Default Settings were there. All my custom settings across all of my input H/ware, [keyboard etc], have gone! Holy words not allowed. Not funny at all. T45 PS - Having scraped myself off the ceiling & restarted the Sim, I find the old Control Settings are still there, so I was a b…

After the "Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game Disc" message has disappeared I get another start-up problem: Installation Manager wants to add additional content of 518.38 MIB as general bugfix 1.25.7.0 (plus gb 1.25.5.0 plus gb 1.25.4.0). I am (or was?) on 1.25.7.0 and had no problems and great performance with it! Can somebody explain to me what is going on and what will happen if I give these bugfixes my OK to install? Thanks for your help! Ernst

Over the last many weeks, since the latest SU9 version, I have been 'grooming' SU9's Community Folder, deleting files that were conflicting, with SU9's performance, or were in fact locking SU9 up, preventing a load out to my selected airport, world-wide. I have succeeded pretty much with that effort, to have very smooth 30 'ish FPS for most scenes, and scenarios...as well as no CTD's or no refusal to 'load bar' fully to the right and then into my chosen airport/situation. So that is very good! What I really wanted to post today, was that truly, truly...all hyperbole aside, (as I for real life, travel by air a lot between San Diego, and Oakland, California fo…

Hello all! I know that there are a TON of VAs out there but I find them pretty boring...Is there something where you can have a bit more of a career? You decided where you want to work and you get flights assigned automatically. I feel like picking your own scheduled flights with VAs is boring. I want something a bit more fun and engaging. Is there anything out there like that? Thanks!

For the very first time in years, I tried to start MSFS and got this message: "Due to an unexpected error, your game license cannot be authenticated." It then goes on to tell me to sign into the MS store and Xbox Live account. Im logged into both and the simulator continues - but there's not live weather, even with it checked on. I have full internet connection. Operating everything as I usually do. Anyone having these issues? Or know how to fix? Thanks in advance!

Assuming each release are priced the same and are not altered during the rollout. I'm sure they'll be smart with their strategy... many enthusiasts have a $99 credit which they'll have to eat, so they'll want an approach that will extract additional cash from that crowd, while not scaring off the new or more casual user. Pricing in the $75 range ensures, there will be enough of a credit left after buying one, that PMDG will pick up a good amount on the purchase of a second. Also, since most will want an 800 in their fleet, releasing the smaller aircraft first, strongly encourages a minimum of two purchases from the line.
