I used the latest FlyByWire A320 installer. Starting up, it loaded to 100% and then sat there. I literally let it go for several hours without completely loading. I then used the uninstall feature and it did not completely remove the installation in the Official OneStore folder. I manually deleted the folder. Then I downloaded via the Direct Download (https://cdn.flybywiresim.com/addons/a32nx/stable/full.zip). I installed in the Community folder. Upon loading the FBW A320 Neo (Leap), it did take a little while to load, but finally worked for me. This happened on two different computers, so I am confident of the solution for me. I post this in case this…

Since we have now few study level Airliners such as PMDG 737, JustFlight BAE 146, Loenardo MD 82 and incoming Fenix A320, I would like to ask is the autosave function work for these aircraft? If so, how? Via FSUIPC/Volanta? Different way. I had CTD yesterday with Leonardo MD 82 and was not able to resume flight in the air

Source: https://www.flythemaddog.com/forum/index.php?/topic/13500-msfs2020-development-news/ Hi captains, I don't get lost in chatter talk but I'll tell you immediately what many of you have been waiting to know for quite some time: the release date is set for April the 30th 2022 and the price will be 75 € + VAT. Fly the Maddog X will be available via SimMarket only. I could add so many details but I will do it in the next few days, the most important thing is the addition of the EFB, initially not planned in the feature list, and the introduction of a new 3D model for the passenger cabin in line with the new graphic standards of FS2020. See you soon i…

Guess we're not watching PMDG updates as closely as pre-737 times as I don't think this was posted here... but some interesting bits in https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/186707-14may22-hello-and-happy-737-weekend-some-bits-of-news-and-a-temporary-notam Some highlights with my own bolding: On Monday 17MAY22 we will be pushing a small update for the PMDG DC-6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator. This update includes a sweep up of some changes we have made since the previous update. We will post a list of those changes at the time the update is published, but you can get the update at no cost via the PMDG Operations Center. …

I'm using one (2nd one/ both bugged) to control drone (on pc with a bunch of different controllers that work as expected) and it loses its assignments, switches assignments, won't properly save assignments, reverts to default after saving new profiles. While in the user interface of the sim trying to program the game controller the controller acts like a pointing device/ mouse when you try to see what binding is associated with a button/ axis this is absolutely maddening! Anybody have any thoughts on what is going on here? Always after a freakin update Uggghh!

Wondering what other Alpha users have found to be a good sensitivity setting for the pitch and roll axis on the Alpha for the PMDG 737? Typically I usually haven't modified it since most aircraft seem fine due to the Alpha's range of travel, but the PMDG 737 seems a bit sensitive similar to how FBW now recommends -30 on the pitch axis. For now I've set -25 for the Alpha for the 737, and temporarily put that on both pitch and roll. Just wondering what others have settled on?

Dear Simmers! I would like to share a story with you all because something has amazed me a lot. And the developer behind this product has shown, an GA Plane can truly become not only study level, but also outstanding visual quality, system depth, immersive and have so many features wich even convinced me, as normally a P3D A320 and PMDG fan, a P3D beta tester, to step out of my comfort zone and fly GA in MSFS. Some of you may know me, some not. I'm a passionated simmer especially in VR. I love being actual "there". The MSFS start was hard, not really convincing for me. I sticked at P3D first, thousands of euros invested in that platform. Some of you know what I'…

Can anyone enlighten me what significant changes for the better, apart from World Updates, have been done since the release of the game? I only see attempts which often result in regressions (weather, FM, DX12.. ) There are distractions like Development Updates, Developer Q&As that should give impression that someting is really going on but some real stuff is rarely to be seen. Maybe I am wrong.

Anyone got an idea how they get 737's from Renton USA to Australia? What routes do they use? I'm trying to realistically replicate the flights required to fly the new PMDG 737 from it's birthplace to Australia and Simbrief says the 737 doesn't have the range to fly the Pacific, even with a Fiji or Vanuatu stop over.

I am using PMDG's custom mouse control mode, However, when right clicking over the heading knob, it does nothing. Left click will rotate the knob left and that works fine. Not sure what's wrong. Anyone else have the same problem?

Hi, if I import a Simbrief plan into the FBW A32X do I still need to load it into the sim as well? in other words will the sim ATC know of the plan if I only do it through the FMS? Thanks

First of all I have been simming since 1998.Being a film major in college I always learned that simming is a different beast than other games on the market. First person shooter, racing games and so on, yes then we are looking for max frames Just to make it simple an old theory has been just lock your frames at 30 and you wiill get decent performance Concluding look at my specs, not the greatest but decent, Yes, I do lock my frames at 30, and you know what, I have no stuterring, and good performance. Happy camper

I received the dreaded "not enough room to install your update" message a couple of days ago. I have an AMD Ryzen i5 with a 500gb (475gb usable) hard disk. I checked an realised that I had about 50gb free and my MSFS install in the packages directory was over 300gb. So ...... After reading a few threads I moved packages to my hard drive and edited the config file. I fired up the sim and had a few problems. Next move was to remove MSFS and re-install the vanilla product without any add-ons. That is where I am at now. I have installed only the 2 world updates pertinent to where I go flying every day. I will reinstall some of my Orbx products but not all. This do…

Nerdish fascination with the DME ARC here - just tried one in the 737 but even after all these years, PMDG still aren’t doing it properly. Instead of a smooth arc drawn on the ND at the appropriate radius from the DME/VOR, they’re using the workaround they’ve had for ages: a series of pseudo-waypoints close to each other and joined by straight lines forming a polygon instead of an arc. The trigonometry is hellish, presumably - but FBW have had this feature working perfectly since January (link below). I had therefore expected at least as good from PMDG.

Gone are the days where we pay over $100 USD for a study level airliner. Now we pay $60 to $70 USD for a study level airliner in MSFS! The one outlier was Leonardo, but even for Leonardo, their Maddog for MSFS is about $78 USD (75 Euro) versus the P3D version which is about $99 USD (95 Euro), excluding VAT. MSFS has made study level airliners all cheaper for us! Not to mention, the scenery add-ons are also cheaper in MSFS. And as a bonus, I don't have to buy an extra hard drive just to store ortho, which saves me more money. Not a bad deal, for what I consider to be, the best home market flight simulator at the moment. I do hope all the future study level a…
