Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Anyone know if the switches on the stock 747 are supposed to be animated? They highlight when I scroll over them, but no function animation. Haven't really flown it much, so don't know if they used to work. Matt C.

All my aircraft have the Flaps bound to a lever on a Logitech Pro Throttle Quadrant, without any issues, & it gives me variable flap settings. The Fenix A320 Flaps are not accepting the binding & don't respond to the Logitech flap lever. Anyone else have flap issues, & anyone got them running off a Logitech Throttle Quadrant? T45

Hi guys, a strange issue is occurring for me now...My Trim is reversed...I use the saitek Trim wheel and rotate down and trim wheel in sim goes up...and vice versa... Is fine on the calibration page and ticking reverse in FSUIPC makes no difference...very odd... Any ideas? Dave

Are airliners refueled when hooked to ground power or is this a problem? And are refueling operations ever conducted in parallel with passenger loading or is this a safety issue and done prior to boarding?

Hello, I did my first full flight in the excellent Working Title CJ4 tonight. Everything went really well except that on approach I wasn't able to arm LOC mode and therefore couldn't intercept the localizer. I had the ILS frequency properly tuned (KIAD 01C ILS), I could see the frequency recognized on the PFD display. When I hit the APPR button, it armed G/S mode but not LOC. Did I miss a step? Is the procedure to arm LOC in this aircraft different than most? Thanks, Dave

After months using the FBW A320neo I must admit I had assumed that the PMDG 737 would come with Simbrief integration. I realise that using the Simbrief download tool isn’t really much more hassle - but imo the extra step(s) do detract from the experience. It feels surprisingly unpolished / 2014-vintage in this quite important respect. Slightly spoilt my first impressions tbh. Hopefully PMDG can improve on this. Otherwise, my experience seems similar to that of others. Looks good, “flies” as expected. Performance-wise I’d say it’s on a par with the FBW A320neo or perhaps marginally better. Oh no not another PMDG thread! This time I'm just coming to say how much I love this new bird, want to know the best thing about it? The performance! Honestly after flying it in FSX and P3D on moderate hardware I was apprehensive about how it would perform on my ageing i7 4790k, 1070 and 16GB and a spinney drive in MSFS. But guess what, its probably the best performing bird in my hangar! Rock solid 30FPS for the most part with moderate AIG traffic running Med-High settings. Absolutely over the moon! There are a few niggles but I expect PMDG patches to be dropping soon to mop up. Overall outstanding job! If you share my love then drop it in this thread!

Is anyone else seeing these issues where the voices stop mid flight return? It was supposedly fixed in the last patch, and did seem to be temporarily fixed for me, but the previous issues have returned over the past few days. In a new twist today I can hear the ATC voices but not mine 🤦‍♂️ This is both with azure and offline voices. I sent in another ticket.

Hi, I changed a couple of settings in my efb for instance the RA callouts or activating the brake fans but if i save them as default, they are not saved the next time I am starting the sim. Other settings are saved though - kind of strage. Is there a solution for this? Another question regarding cold and dark: is there a way to get really a cold and dark setup? when starting the sim the plane loads with the engine running and after 5 seconds everything turns off. However when starting the battery and ground power, still all the light rotary knobs are turned on - kind of annoying to turn them always off, the engine blades are rotating forever and not stopping. …

I LOVE the Fenix A320, but I hate the current camera positions and for the life of me I cannot get to grips with the MSFS cam system. So I did what most in my position would do and downloaded a camera set from flightsim.to 🤪. However, this is where the fun starts, I cannot get the new camera file to overwrite the original and the originals have a small orange/yellow dot in the top right corner. So any advice/insight would be most welcome.

Where and how much has the DEM (digital elevation model) being improved in World Update 9? Do I still need to buy or download the 3rd party high resolution mesh for Italy now?

Bijan has recently released an experimental set of terrain masks for Autumn / Winter seasons which go a long way to mitigating the jarring mismatch of his brown, yellow and red Autumn trees with the vivid, lush greens of most of the summer temperate satellite images. Guys I had followed the PMDG 737 manual to go with their mouse settings vs default msfs. All is fine with that. But the settings I made in the sim mouse camera menu are preventing me from pulling and pushing the MCP knobs. I do not remember what the default settings are like for these. Can somebody help me perhaps with a screenshot so I can get it back to default? Thanks. Here is what I have now. I do not get the up or down arrows anymore.

What would be the best way to uninstall then reinstall? Every time i try to set up a flight, the EFB works but i get black screens regardless of the panel state I am in (MCDU, PFD, etc.). I downloaded and installed the custom views (https://flightsim.to/file/33275/custom-camera-views-fenix-a320) and think that might have screwed something up. I saved a copy of the folder that I put this in but no matter what, I can't get the screens to illuminate nor recognize my stick and thrust lever. I had a good flight last night and the only thing i did differently since then is install the views. I thought a reinstall of Fenix might be good.. ThoughtS?

Every time you do a new livery, do you need to set the default panel state for that specific livery, or once you set the default once, it applies to all? I feel like i needed to do it each livery, and my American Airlines livery never seems to be able to work. Thanks!

Hello all, during today flight i have encountered this problem. During changing arrival procedure a/c completely frozen, i mean all switches and screens frozen but sim continued to run. I have waited 5 min and than closed the sim. Maybe it is a new bug introduced with wu9! Anyone encountered this?
