Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I used the Navigraph NavData Center (the new application) to update the PMDG 737's Navdata. But now, the plane refuses to recognize any airport I enter - keeps saying "Not in Database" How do I fix this? I've tried removing the data but it didn't fix it.

I've been one of the few lucky ones who hasn't had mayor issues updating, in general my experience with updates has been quite satisfactory. With SU9 however, for some unknown reason panning has been an issue with micro stutters, only panning, otherwise the sim is solid and smooth, keeping 40fps in 99% of the time no matter how long I fly. Anybody with the same issue? I read somewhere that Asobo is working on quick fixes on some of the issues brought in with SU9, hopefully panning stutters will be addressed too.

Do you install in Community,or c drive as already populated in the installer? Thanks Jim

Good day simmers, I am a true lover of the XP11 AND P3D sims, I jumped to MSFS recently because of the airliners it offers with the new releases. However, I also learned the hard way again that it is unforgivable in terms of stability: 1) long flights are nearly impossible. With CPU pegged at 100% sideway apps like simtoolkitpro/AiGTech controller/internet etc. Are freezing because the sim takes all the juice.. 2) changing views/using apps and switching between sim and apps cause CPU lockups that end in a death corner freeze and ultimately a ctd. This is intolerable and rantingly frustrating, making me emotionally unstable for a few hours... 3) as imme…

I observe so-called long frames (1-2 sec) every 30-40 seconds since SU9/WU9. This is with the default TBM 930 even over "easy" areas. It seems to be the main thread but I'm wondering why I didn't observe it before the recent updates. Off course I suspected the Terrain LOD settings which I have now at 200 but the issue is still there - may be a bit less. I may add, before the recent Sim and World Updates I could fly with Terrain LOD 300-400 w/o any problems. Even in more heavy areas like Vancouver or Chicago with lots of add-ons active. Hi all. Help me a little here, thanks. We all know I will be getting both, but which one should I start with? Which one is the most beginner friendly, and have an easy flightplan import function? A little input to guide my way. And they can both only be purchased at developer webside? The amount of websides I use for flightsim is taking over, LOL. Best regards.

If you haven't done it. depart Genoa (LIMJ) heading east along the coastline. After several miles there are many elevated bridges and tunnels all along the coast, Not being familiar with Italy, I was amazed and what they had accomplished. Most enjoyable flight. Roy

Here is the Artemare altisurface created by Emmanuel Richer. The altisurface of Artemare is clinging to the mountainside in the town of Tallisieu in the Bugey region of France. It dominates the vast marsh area of Lavours. It is a private aerodrome of the Altisurface type open to ULM traffic. The grass runway QFU 16-34 measures 150m by 10m with a slight slope to the left in the direction of landing 34. The platform at the top of the runway is narrow. The local aerology is often difficult. In FBW's A320Neo's INIT 1 page we have the possibility to import the winds from, in my case, MeteoBlue. But also there's the possibility to jot in the numbers yourself in respectively the climb and descent pages of the INIT 1 page. The latter can be data derived from Simbrief's OFP. When I do both for the same flight I notice that the numbers provided by MeteoBlue and Simbrief are very different. I wonder which one of these two are more accurate to use with MSFS real time weather active. Any advice is very much appreciated.

Just a quick question: When will we see more liveries available online for the Fenix? It's great that she shipped with close to 200 liveries, but unfortunately, none of my favorite airlines were represented.

Ok I am using the fenix native pushback tool from the EFB, but the pushback goes at a snail's pace. I cant figure out how to increase the speed?

I'm totally enjoying my new learning experience with the FMC on the PMDG 737. But I have a few questions for you experts: * Are you still required to set the altitude with the manual altitude control? I have all my altitude parameters set within the FMC for various waypoints. But I often get an error message during flight at the bottom of the FMC saying that I need to adjust the Altitude control. Do I need to set my maximum altitude manually even though the FMC already has my preferences programmed? Must I manually set a minimum Altitude on the way down? * Do you still need to manually tune the ILS frequency -- on the knobs near the throttle -- even though you …

On the FBW, I had mapped the tiller to my Hotas Warthog "INCR DECR" Axis. Most all of the other mappings I had for the FBW carried over with an exception of the tiller. Any trick to getting that set up so I don't have to steer with my rudder pedals?

Are there any view profiles out there that are available? When I got in the sim, the cockpit view was very zoomed in as a default and the only way to get it correct was using the mouse to pan and Unzoom. Is that correct or is there a profile out there?

I got my Class Echo up and running (it's great btw) for MSFS. It requires Spad.next to function. I have a Logitech throttle quadrant along with Logitech Switch and Multi panels. I'm perfectly happy with Logitech's drivers and would like to keep using them instead of using spad to control them. However, spad interferes with the logitech drivers and using the panels. In addition to causing issues with the panels, it has constant popup warnings about using the logitech drivers. Is it possible to turn off logitech support and warnings in spad and let the actual Logitech drivers prevail? If so, could someone point me to how?

Hi, with my specs bellow and mostly high settings, T LOD set at 100 building LOD set at 150 at a gate with no other traffic I get about 35 frames and my frames are locked at 30. Now I add AIG traffic and set it to 50% I get fluctuations around 25-29 and 30 on the dot...I know its not above 30 since its dropping lower. Anyone else experiencing this at KPHX? Other airports are just fine. KSAN I have higher frames, KPDX I have higher frames and so on. All other graphics settings are set to High. Just curious to know what others are experiencing. I do have Photogeometry on and tried to turn it off and gain just a few frames but not a crazy amount.

I am trying to download the latest World Update IX and each time I press "get and download" I get an error that says I am offline. However, I am not offline. Anyone else having this issue? Cheers, Pete

Several updates ago, there appeared to be a bug introduced where when viewing your plane with the drone camera, the horizon would start to tilt over time. It's not an obvious movement, like "what's wrong with my controller?", but rather a very subtle effect that you notice after several minutes have gone by and you realize you need to correct it back to a level horizon. Does anyone recall if a fix or solution was found for this? Is it specific to the controller or are others who don't use a controller experiencing this too?

Hi guys Who else experiences this? Stutter on touchdown......really annoying. First of I have an ageing PC and happy to attribute the problem to hardware, I run i7 4790k, 1070 and 16GB running at 1080P. Thing is I run very moderate settings mixture of low-med-high. Even running everything at low I experience the same issue, stutter on touchdown but not at every airfield either. Most of the fields I land at are either enhanced freeware or payware. I've tried with photogrammetry On and Off. Things is if it was performance, my usual moderate settings give me 25-30 FPS locked and smooth performance from cold and dark, take off, cruise, descent, approach (eve…

I'm not referring to the Ctrl-Alt-Number, but trying to activate Reset Cockpit View. I do this w/ the A2 button on my yoke. But to save this view I've been using Ctrl-F9. The problem is when I do this it does not save it in the exact position I was in--it's offset slightly both vertically and horizontally. It does capture that offset position and the A2 will bring it up. Thanks

I know it is super early, but i thought I saw on a stream that there will be airline specific Simbrief profiles to pick in Simbrief. Anyone know where that might be or did I mishear that?
