Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have already updated my MSFS2020 but this morning its updating again and the the progress bar is going from 5% to 10% to 20% then back to 4%...its like its not really downloading anything its yoyoing up and down.

I was wondering if we could get a list going of airports with mesh issues on the runway. There's nothing worse than flying hours on end only to crash during rollout because the runway is broken like an Earthquake hit it. I'd love to see a proper list, so I know what airports to avoid right now.

Anyone else experiencing a crash after exiting a flight and returning to the main menu every time? This now happens after the update. Even with the community folder empty. Is there a crash log MSFS creates?

Loved my 737 in FSX and P3D, so will definitely buy for MSFS but am wondering: which one? That wasn't an issue before, since iirc we got 4 models for one price. I mainly flew the 800 and the 600, just to vary things. Now I need to decide which to plump for, since I don't fancy splashing out on 2, let alone 3 or more. Any advice from 737 experts, please? I am thinking the 320 (Neo or maybe Fenix, by the time the 800 is out) might fill my need for an 800 size jet. The 900 doesn't interest me. So - probably a 6 or 700. It's now been a couple of years since MSFS was released but the sim largely is the same as it was at release. Yes I know the world scenery updates is something and 3PDs have come out with new planes. However, as far as the core sim goes it hasn't changed much. Where are the new core sim features? New advanced weather? ATC? Windscreen wipers working? Remember when a new version came out every 2 years of the legacy series with significant advances? I could get a copy of the original 2020 release and compare it with today's version and visually or functionality wise it would be almost identical. I really like this airplane, but the HSI needles/flags do not activate at the GTN testpage.. If this bothers you, contact me via PM for a draft fix.. Secondly, the NAV1/2 switch causes inconsistent results in VLOC mode.. not entirely sure what is going on and if I can make it better.

Good news for those GOFLIGHT users in that Pollypot Software are developing software for the PMDG 737 in MSFS.. . Look forward to that.

Just sitting inside the new PMDG 737 for MSFS and just admiring all the details and stuff. Look at those small tiny details such as in the buttons, you can see individual dots in the LCD numbers. Just wow! I find it distracting to even fly sometimes when things look this good. Might be hard to tell from image compression, but trust me. On my end you can really see and appreciate the level of detail that has gone into the VC!

Hello, sometimes I'm experiencing a bug with an incomplete graphic of PFD, as attached screenshot, which is flickering fast between this and normal graphic. It appears most, if sun is low on the sky. Anyone else too?

So was reading the manual and it states "Brake manually below 80 knots, which will disengage the autobrakes."... has anyone been able to set this up... I am using the Thrustmaster rudder pedals, but they just wont disengage... Can any of my esteemed Flight Simmers provide me some insight...

Hi all Recently upgraded to an I712700k with 3080ti,the performance is excellent, very smooth and fluid with the PMDG 737 but suffers once track ir is running, it stutters and appears to affect the fluidity some how, I think it may be a refresh mismatch but just wondering if others have seen this and rectified, things I will try when I get home Disabling AV Setting track IR priority at run time Try different USB ports and power management Thanks Wayne

Hi all, I have attached some images where I get some hits that are lower than my locked 30 frames...however if I raise the from 1080 to 4K and lock at 60 frames I get around 40 frames...so why if the sim can run more frames does it to jump down to 28 then 30, then 27 then 31 when its locked at 30. Is there a setting Im missing in NVidia Control Panel? Do I need to turn on low latency or just keep it off? Plus it shows once in a while limited by main thread but most of the time by GPU. I think I have a good system where I can lock at 30 and keep it at 30 with the settings I have currently in the graphics settings in MS. with the PMDG 737-700 taxiing around default KSMF sce…

Can you guys recommend some of your favorite short haul routes (around 1hr). Looking for scenic approaches, beautiful landscapes, etc. Please share your flight plan here.

Anyone using real taxi way signs that have gone back to default after a sim update?

Hi, When installing MSFS2020 via Steam can I install the Community Folder & MSFS2020 to the same SSD rather than it being on the main drive of the PC? Is anyone able to offer how this is done with some instructions if possible? Thanks Jason

Good day. I've researched the forums and cannot find a solution for my inability to shift my head view around the cockpit with my mouse. When I'm on cockpit camera, I can zoom in and out with the mouse but only from the captain's head view perspective. I cannot move my "head" view over to the upperhead panel, or any other area of the cockpit. Only from the captain's seat. Any ideas or maybe share your mouse settings for cockpit camera view? I think it must be with the mouse keybinds to pan freely around the cockpit at any angle or perspective. Regards.

hello, Since the update today, I am getting a "Low Bandwidth" notification, and cannot use Bing graphics. I searched this forum and others seeking a solution however with the massive amounts of threads on this topic, I failed to find one. I have had no issues such as this until this update, and I am wondering if there is something on my end I can do to fix this problem. I checked my internet speed which is 90+ Mbps down, reset my router, and have only essential programs running in the background. My community folder is empty also. I am located in Florida, USA and if anyone can help me I would appreciate it very much. Thank you for reading this.

So, disappointingly this tool has not been updated to MSFS. It seems to be a matter of modifying some of the export paths to the new sim. However those workarounds end up in error in my case. Luckily, i still have FSX Steam installed. So, I have discovered that i can copy the exported flight plan (.RTE file) to that and copy/paste it in the 737 folder in MSFS and I do not even have to restart a new flight letalone MSFS itself for that to take effect ! The FMC will find the new route regardless. Wonderful! Also ..... when shutting the engines down and going to APU or GPU i will not get that annoying MSFS screen asking me if i want to end or continue…

Went to the Store I find deluxe version Click on it and takes me to another screen where I see Now confussed. Read doc from flightsimulator website, sthere screen shots dont appear what I get in the Store Went to Micosft Store Found MSFS2020 deluxe. Looking for a buy button, but what is shows me Pass Get Game Pass, or something, Then price from the XBOX APP I click that, then It looks like I'm in the XBOX app site where I can buy now Is this correct?

Hi all, (or should I say Captains,) Been flying mostly in Europe until now. With the landslide of quality airliner addons I'm looking into expanding my territory, so to speak. The only airports I have in North America so far is KDEN Denver and CYVR Vancouver. There's quite a few MSFS enhanced airports, both from the original release and from WU2, so I'd like opinions on these vs. available freeware/payware addons.
