Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I had some weird unexplained stutters while i was preparing H-Jet for take off and after many tests and research i found the main cause. When i start to import cruise & ILS final approach altitudes on flight-plan, aircraft starts to stutter even on high fps ( 60-70s). I used MSFS Developer mode fps preview and i saw those spikes on Main thread/CoherentGTUIThread and Manipulators when this happen. In general Aircraft performance is amazing and smooth with out any issue until i add the final cruise & descent altitudes for vnav calculation. Could someone confirm if its a bug? thanks

Although I sometimes played DCS World, it was mostly the UH-1h and the WW2 warbirds because I have no special interest in modern fighters, but when the F-18 was released for that platform, I believe somewhere along 2021, it was evaluated by various players, including som USAF pilots, and I took some time reading their reviews... So, I found myself debating with my own what to do now that after having spent a few bucks in the Inibuilds Beluga and then the A310, pretty much convinced of the true "meaning" of those promotional sales, I was not in the mood to reinstall XP11 just to play both, and would rather wait for XP12 to get released BUT! now it is more or less obvious that unless both run straightforward in the next XP version, which I really don't believe will possibly be the case, the most I can expect is: - Using XP11 and the Inibuilds A310 as a training platform, as if it was "simulator time for type rating" 🙂 until I can get my hands on the MFS version, by november 2022.... Guys, i am losing my mind by this on, we shouldn`t belive how s****d that is... Now they made pop-up 2D displays to work ( eagerly awaited because everyone have it just not PMDG ) and belive it or not if you pop them out and move it to your second or third Monitor and jump to the outside view the panels are not updating just stop and if you go back to the cockpit shure it works again.. Now what do they think for what reason we need those pop-up 2D displays, for use it in the cockpit ? There i dont need one i have there the panels.. Seems to be outage across the world with insert disk when trying to start

This may not be the appropriate place to ask for help but I would appreciate it anyways, I was running MSFS earlier just fine, shut it down then later attempted a re-start and it will not let me back in instructing me to sign in again - which I did on everything relevant. Now when attempting a start up of MSFS it wants a Disk inserted. I have no idea what to do so if anyone has encountered this if you would share your solution that would be great. Many thanks.

For some reason, for the last 3 flights I have flown, I set the AP & ATHR but the airspeed bug stays at 220 knots even above 10k feet. I can manually change to a higher speed but I revert to the A/C's control it reverts to 220 knots. Why would that be? Thanks, Dave

Something fundamental that I don't understand... At a gate, KSFO, clear weather, aircraft in turnaround config. FPS limited in Nvidia CP to 60, VSync on. GPU Usage approx 45%, CPU Usage approx 60%, GPU memory usage approx 50%, system memory approx 40%. All temps at around 50c and no CPU cores maxed out. Network activity 0%. GPU at approx 60% power consumption. Why then am I only seeing 21fps when no component of the system is working at more than about half of its capacity? As soon as I get airborne, my FPS return straight back to 60 or higher if I deregulate them. It demonstrates that my system can produce far higher performance but something is preventing…

Just curious. Even the default MSFS ATC knows what via to use so why doesn't SB tell me? Not a real huge problem figuring this all out but I just wonder. It would make life a bit easier. 😉

Anyone with experience with these two addons ? I'm looking for something that has an online component so I'm ruling out neofly. I'm also looking at A pilots Life 2 but I don't see the point of its progression as you can fly any plane you want even if you don't have a licence.

Just in case I've missed something! With the next MSFS update, my understanding is that ASOBO with allow limited 'read' only access to the weather SDK. This is to allow 3rd parties to activate their aircraft weather radar and that is it. So, that is access to precipitation data around the aircraft only and no other useable data for 3rd parties? I don't have a yoke right now, seems it would be hard to use that for a helicopter controller. But I have a Warthog HOTAS. And then, after buying the Bell 47, it controlled pretty easy once I played around with the control assignments. Two throttles and a stick and a rudder. The rudder controls the tail rotor and works a lot like the yaw control rudder on a plane. It tends to point the nose left and right in a stationary hover and to prevent a slip or skid while turning in a forward motion copter flight. Very much like a plane indeed. Hi, yesterday i did a flight in Spain, IFR flightplan but i was given an Visual Approach in Barcelona (Airport was VFR). I was flying a GA plane. Normally on a IFR Flighgtplan the waypoints take me basically all the way to final. But when given a Visual approach i can only select VECTORS and STRAIGHT as transistions in the G1000. Both seem to just extend a straight line from the runway. Shortly after reaching the airport the ATC told me to fly heading 090, which basically put me on a crosswind to my assigned runway. The few weeks, I have been struck by how infrequently the FBW A320 add-on is being mentioned here on AVSIM compared to the FENIX. We can assume that our community has turned its attention for the moment to a new, shiny object. Indeed when I did a search for FENIX in the the title and sorted the most recent to the top, the bottom-most post on the first page was June 9th. Doing the same for FBW, the post at the bottom of the first page was dated April 19th. Hi there, I have an issue with MSFS2020, the photogrammetry setting is turned on as I like the detail, unfortunately in built up areas, I.e: London, all of the buildings do not look right. I can only describe it as they looked kind of melted, if I pause the game then like 10 seconds later that area I'm flying over will finally clear up and look ok ish but still doesn't look great. any solutions? I have tried all the basic stuff like emptying the cache etc, I have a good internet connection too and a decent PC set up.
