Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Is there anyway to pinpont which module/addon is causing CTD? in xplane it will most of the time tell you which app caused an issue. besides testing each and every addon out for hours upon hrs , is there any quick way that is available? In event viewer you can see MSFS crashed, but besides the code it gives nothing else.

I popped out my PFD & MFD dispalys in the PMDG 737 and I had a huge drop in FPS. I am currently using a locked FPS of 30 using the NCP and it is usually very smooth. When I R-ALT and click on the displays my FPS dropped from 30 to 10. When I closed the pop-ups my FPS went back to the normal 30 (very smooth). Anyone else?

I swear the lack of a manual for this thing is annoying. Accidentally triggered a random failure again poking around in the failures menus in the FMC while in the Random Failures section. From what I understand with manual failures you can just go into the system and instantly clear it, but the only way it seems to clear random that I've found is to use the "maintenance" section and literally sit around waiting for 20 minutes while it diagnoses and repairs it. Tried changing panel states (i.e. "ready" to "turnaround" etc) which I thought I'd heard was supposed to fix it as well but nope.

Anyone have this issue? This is noticeable at night, I thought I was going crazy that the strobe lights were on and when the strobe light flickers that it makes the environment light up a tiny bit, but this is not the case as turning off the strobe lights the environment still flickers. Oddly if you alt-tab the flickers stop. Also I tried recording a video of the issue, but surprise surprise, there was No flickering in the videos!!!

Hi everyone, OK I know the usual addon developers websites, and stores like Simmarket. Now stupid question: where is what is referred to as the 'Store'? Is it accessed from a web brower or the PC Xbox app? Is it https://flightsim.to ?

When you start on the runway with the ready state the engines are running but the GPU is still attached, So what exactly is the ready state ready for? Bruce

I want to set "Terrain LOD" to a lower value but it seems to have a mind of it's own. I will set it to 120, 200, whatever. Nest time I startup the sim it has reverted back to 300, even after saving my changes. When I exit the sim I ESC back to the "main menu", then "Quit to Desktop". I am closing the sim properly, that can't be the reason.

And that is being less expensive. For example I have just purchased FS Acadamy navigation from the MP it it costed me 230 SEK. First I tried buying it from Just Flight but then it would cost 270 SEK being more expensive even if I take into account the JF points I get. I have also seen that the Milviz C310 cost 400 SEK on the MP. I bought it directly from Milviz and it cost me 460 SEK. Why is it like this ?

alright, alright. yes, I became a FBW 320 f a n b o y and lost some 737 capabilities having not flown the 737 for quite a decade. so don't shout at me like manny may do but help me how to engage descent once I reset MCP from say 35000 to 18000 feet and I am past the TOD already (so I forgot to reset the MCP in the first place). in the neo I click the dial but not in the 737, at least with the honeywell AP. so far I just dis- and reengage VNAV but I would expect there is a more - well - professional way? quick answers please as this potentially embarrassing post will destroy itself after some 20 years or so

I'm enjoying the Fenix A320 & PMDG B737 so much I just couldn't resist - I purchased the Leonardo Maddog! My poor GA planes are currently rusting away in the hanger 😀 I'm about to start the YouTube video search for tutorials, but those of you who have cracked this plane can you point me to the best pdfs/videos etc that helped you understand this aircraft?

I am looking for a good quality payware scenery for south america or the caribian. flights from las vegas or other american / canadian airports. to be used with 737 or A320, any suggestions? also I think that Asobo could pay some more attention for this beautifull area...

What compression must a texture file in MSFS to set to? I have tried editing a few textures but I am unable to get them to show as DXT 1 DXT3 & DXT5 do not work.

An addon airport has been posted over on TO for KAUW, Wausau Downtown Airport at Wausau, Wisconsin. I like it very much as the dev used hangars from the Windhover Open Hangar library. That adds life to the airport. Just wish more of other addon airports included open hangars. I looked up Wausau Downtown and found it participates with an active fly-in dining social club in Wisconsin. I am posting a couple of links below. Before the Portugal & Spain WU I was able to use LPBJ in MFS. Beja Air Base is still a PAF active air base, as well as a civil airport used mostly by charters. Have you been able to find a way to fix that inconsistency ? Thx !

Hi All I have encountered this problem since the dawn of MSFS 2020. My graphics are extremely bright and glary, especially at higher altitudes. I believe it has something to do with HDR. However on my computer I cannot access HDR. In windows settings I have Stream HDR = no Use HDR = no Use WCG Apps = no I am running two 1080 i Graphics cards with 3 x 4k monitors. I have watched other peoples videos of their flights, and it looks wonderful. However with me, it is like always flying with the sun in your eyes, and very hazy. I have tried to change cloud settings with no success. Has anyone got any graphic options or suggestions to solve…

Hi, great AC btw, I have figured out how to import a simbrief flight plan into the FMC via the EFB. However, it always loads the most recent flight plan in my simbrief account; how can I select an alternate flight plan as I have others saved? Also, can you save a flight plan in the FMC and re-use it; like a co route scenario? Thanks, Simon

On EFB Perfomance Page, it doesn't give me the flap retraction speeds when I use it, but I do see Youtubers getting green values there. I only get the V1, V2 and Vr speeds returned. What am I missing?
