Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm not sure if Top Gun has been installed on my PC. I can't find it in Content Manager. But I have noticed since it came out that Scenario Set Up takes about 4 or 5 minutes more to load. Is it installed somewhere & can I remove it? It's not the type of flying that I prefer. T45

This morning I went to use a gift certificate someone gave me and purchased the FS2 Crew pushback App. The first time, the website froze up after it had deducted the charge from my Gift certificate. No email, and nothing on the website. I tried it again, same result. It is Friday, are they somewhere in the world that is on vacation or something?

I have had the "powerlines and solar farms" addon in my community folder for quite some time but I can't seem to find any in the sim. Someone posted a near collision with lines on final approach to 17L at KMCO but I couldn't find them there. My content manager shows that they're in there. Could it be a conflict with another addon like Puffy's VFR region 2? Is anybody else not finding any powerlines?

We all know the aircraft is great system wise, but many of us felt disappointed with the texturing not being on par with MSFS next gen rendering engine and GPU capabilities of today. Hi Guys, I have just moved into MSFS2020 thanks to the recently released Fenix A320 but I am having problems with clicking switches etc. in the cockpit. I am finding that unless I am viewing the item pretty much square on and fairly close up, the click spots on stitches, knobs and so on are often displaced from where they should be. For example, if I'm in my normal pilot seat view, clicking buttons on the MCDU is almost impossible as the click spots are not over the visual key positions. So I hopped onto the Fenix bandwagon. While the system simulation is quite impressive - on par with the FS Labs from initial impression, I keep wondering how accurate are the flight dynamics. On initial climb for instance, I keep getting high pitch command with about 4000 f/m ROC for a GW of 66 tons. Is that realistic?? Before I get into a tedious series of pitch/power experiments, did anyone check it thus far? Also, and this is something subjective that I can't back up with figures, but the FBW feels a bit "unstable". Spring is T storm in the South East US, haven't seen any lightning or heard any thunder in months. Has Asobo just deleted it permanently?

I am flying using live weather and have noticed at PAJN there is always snow regardless of the METAR. I found a couple posts about this, as well as at other airports, but no resolution. The most recent of these were from Dec. 2021 though. Am I missing anything anywhere? I'd like to continue to use live weather for variety, but the constant snow kills the reaslism.

Just wondering if someone knows of a simple texture editor? There are some 3rd party liveries that I have that are just not quite right. In P3D I was using a program called GIMP. It made it really simple to adjust the colors, and then reformat and save the texture file. However, it does not work with any MSFS textures that I have tried. Any help would be much appreciated. Head on over to the FSDeveloper for the the first public release of ADE for MSFS. It's a well-tested alpha, but it is missing features and has a few bugs. One can use ADE to import both FSX and MSFS stock airports as a starting point. Most ADE features for P3d and FSX work in the MSFS version. There's more details at FSDeveloper ADE forum.

Hi. Just loaded the Fenix A320 in MSFS and the EFB had no power I have plugged in the charger but it doesn't want to recharge, anyone else had this issue or am I overlooking something. PS I applied power to the A320 prior to charging the EFB.

I'd like to change the default settings for the Showcase aka Drone camera. On every flight, one of the first things I do is change the camera zoom and position and I'm getting tired of it. Altering and saving new defaults would be a treat! I haven't been able to locate a camera.cfg file for the Showcase camera (or even if it's settings are even stored in one). Anyone in the know?

Anyone know if it’s possible to remove the pilot avatar from the cockpit? would be nice not to have her sitting there once the aircraft has been parked and powered down

I have the Premium Deluxe KORD. I can't seem to find a gate that isn't filled with static aircraft. Is there any way to remove all static aircraft at KORD that doesn't require a degree in computer science? I use AIG, but even when not using it, all gates are occupied.

Next, what I consider the 'Holy Grail' of flight simming: To be able to fly any aircraft at any speed at any altitude at any location at any time of day with any kind of weather with any addon and to always have a smooth and stutter free flight experience.(30fps or better) Easy right? I'm sure I'm not alone but I took a nice long flight into ESSA, made a great landing on runway 26 and was rolling out when I hit what can only be best described as a foot high curb and crash. Just passing out the warning to others that those crazy Sweeds are putting curbing across their runways so watch out. LouP
