Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Flying the beta Chancellor quite a bit these days and really like it. I have noticed that ATC do not call out the manufacturer and model of the Chancellor... I figured out that the aircraft.cfg file is missing the necessary definitions. I have added the following to mine under [GENERAL] based on what I found in the original aircraft.cfg file for the JF Turbo Arrows: atc_type = "TT:ATCCOM.ATC_NAME CESSNA.0.text" atc_model = "TT:ATCCOM.AC_MODEL C414.0.text" At least now they call me up and I respond with "Cessna blah blah"... 🙂 I can't remember if there is a situation when the model designator is also used by/with ATC, so I am not sure yet if tha…

I am suffering with this since the beginning and even after the patch. I start a flight with the Fenix bus and the cockpit is "dark" the lights are on but everything else dark, despite the Fenix Logo on the EFB. Even pressing reset within the Fenix app is not changing anything, more worse, the reset button is not always clickable, even when loging out and in again. I raised it a week ago with support and no feedback until now. For me this is really a word not allowed piece of software and a even crappier support from Fenix. Where the PMDG 737 is running great, the Fenix Airbus fails... Does anyone of you have simliar issues ? Carsten

As some may recall, when I got the A 320 over a week ago, the first day drove me crazy. I was sort of used to the FMC on the 737 from years ago, and I couldn't get my head around the MCDU on the A 320, for about 2 days. I finally figured it out, and now it is a piece of cake. Everything else on the A 320, was fairly easy. I watched this video a few days ago, and i wish I had seen it before I got the A 320. Hope it will help someone else get used to the MCDU>

My Flight sim experience change for the best today with the follow unit : PFD/MFD from FligthSimBuilder. It comes with a premap WASM modules. All you have to do is pop-up the Avionics and put it on each screen. Every single function is preset. Works out of the box in about 10 minutes. Greetings all, Every time I right click with the mouse to look around, I notice that my control inputs cease. Most noticeable when taxiing in, looking with the mouse, and then noticing that you can't steer anymore, at least until you release the mouse button. Is there any way to fix this so that pressing the mouse button to look around does not disable your joystick controls? Thanks! Rich Boll

Hi all Been traveling for a few weeks. Came back to the Top Gun update etc. updated it just fine. Every time I start the game (on administrator or not) the game prompts me to update accessibility and graphics settings etc. 5 steps. All my keyboard, joystick bindings are gone. Nothing gets saved after I close the game. What the hell am I doing wrong? James

Does anyone know about the airline options in the EFB, once you download a livery is that already pre set or do we need to click Use Airline Options? After we click that do we then click save default or? Whats the process...

Trying to fly the Fenix A320 and I am having some issues with the bindings in the control setup. I have both the Thrusstmaster TCA Quadrant Edition (Eng 1&2 unit), and the Thrustmaster A320 Pilot Stick. Firstly I cannot get the Reverse Thrust to work on the TM Quadrant, even though it works on the A320 Pilot Stick. Flaps do not work on the Quadrant. You have to click them with a mouse. And Finally, the speed breake seem to work with the mouse, as well as on the Quadrant, but not seen visually when observing outside the aircraft. So I am pleading for some help with all of the above. Is it possible to cycle way points in the Airbus to see all of the way points like in Boeing as I cant see end waypoints on MFD to see if the flight plan looks finished and correct on MFD for the landing portion of flight plan on MFD, thank you

Hello guys, I'm always getting this ECAM message "F/CTL L SIDESTICK FAULT CALIBRATE NULLZONES" and it simply won't go away. - I used the MCDU to calibrate my controls - I used the HOTAS X56 software to calibrate - I calibrated the controller in Windows - I set up Nullzones in MSFS .... Have no idea what I'm missing.

As the snapshots are missing and I didn't follow the Q&A session - has there already been given any information on the next WU? I think to rememeber that it is already planned for mif June? Thx

Hi, Yesterday, i launched MSFS and it downloaded the 21 Mb update. I still now have the splashscreen with Top Gun stuff. BUT : no new plane installed, and not marketplace link in the menu (not a grayed link, the link is not there between Profile and Options). My account seems OK, i'm logged and online, my content manager seems OK with 426 items installed ans is showing the Community content with all my Orbx or Flighsim.to adds). I also realise that Addon Linker has lost is ability to disable some links in the my Community folder (essentially the ORBX that i managed correctly last week, and yes it is working as administrator). Any idea ?

All, My EFB shows AIRAC current data, my MCDU doesn't this also relation to the current AIRAC Cycle. Is there a work around??? Navigraph data up to date and Fenix is in the Nav Data centre as been connected. Any help advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Regards

If you use HW with the Fenix A320 please consider opening a ticket with them via your dashboard. Please ask them to implement more robust LVAR HVAR variables in READ AND WRITE so that HW MCP/FCPs that have displays can properly be used. They are already working with Sklarki but it would be nice if they could assist all their HW customer base. @guenseli is hard at work but cannot help us if Fenix does not give him the correct tool set to do so. @Aamir - I have already opened a ticket for this- please consider this as it will increase the appeal of the product across a wider customer base than those committed to Sklarki alone.
